Sarah Palin: They’re Not My Clothes!
The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck introduces Republican U.S. vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin during a campaign rally at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimee, Florida on Sunday.
Sarah Palin denounced the story that a wardrobe worth $150,000 was purchased for her in September, saying the report was “ridiculous” and declaring emphatically, “Those clothes, they are not my property.”
“Instead of the issues, they are focused, fixated on her wardrobe,”Hasselbeck said. “Now, with everything going on in the world, seems a bit odd. But let me tell you, this is deliberately sexist. I know you know that.”
After the rally in Florida, Palin headed to Asheville, a city in the Appalachian region of North Carolina.

why moderation ..cause i mentioned cindys’ millions and her
$300 000 outfits
I don’t like Elizabeth sometimes, but she has a point being in the McCain/Palin rally. Team McCain/Palin for sure!!!
Well, I hope you know you are an idiot, Elisabeth. This stupid Barbie doll needs to shut the hell up.
Those girls are so smart and awesome! Save America from idiot obama being liying!!!
Both of them are racist airheads.
MaCain advisors wanted Palin to stick to the Republican script, except that loud mouth Elizabeth from the View had to bring it up. It gave Palin the chance to change her revise her speech. Now MaCain campain staff members are mad at Palin and calling her a “Diva”. Yikes these Republicans really know how to tear each other down. It doesn’t help that Alaska (R) Senator Stevens got convicted.
News flash:
Michelle Obama does not dress in clothing that is as expensive as Cindy McCain’s. Michelle, Cindy and Hillary pay for their own clothes. What Palin did not say is that she didn’t give a hoot as to where those clothes came from. I seriously doubt that the clothing — including the designer purse that as purchased for Palin’s young daughter, –will be given to charity.
Palin simply isn’t qualified fot he VP-president slot. That’s the important issue. Elizabeth is a very foolish woman.
To All those people saying they used the taxpayers money to fix and remake Sarah Palin., You have a right to complain. See Barak and his people did not take the governments matching funds which is through you income tax, but McCain and the Republican did. That is why people are complaining. Everything these chick-hawk republican do, they try to excuse it by blaming the media or whom ever else is available. They are still messing up the people money and getting away with it. I want to know where did all the money go? Just remember when Bush and Chaney came to the White House they changed the tax status for the rich and gave Big business tax breaks even though they were doing business outside of america and sending the cheap garbage back to the american people for higher prices. They were making and paying the workers in those countries almost nothing to produce their product. We are building one of the largest American Embassy’s in the world in Iraq and nobody have even talked about it. Whoever win the Presidency is in for a rude awakeness. If it was me running for president I would demand to have all the books open and have a neutral committe see where we are in this whole mess.
@neals essay #68
Thank you so much for posting this, but the unfortunate fact here is that the people criticizing this story wouldn’t give 2 seconds to explore the truth or care to be enlightened. This essay goes way beyond their intellectual capacity. They are just going with the take from the “rich” and give to the poor attitude. Why should they care? All they know is they don’t have to do anything and get something in return. When we are all lining up in line for government food and driving the same brown mini car, going to our government jobs, because we are no longer a class society, then they will all be looking around for what happened.
Personally, being an average everyday working American I find it disturbing that Palin claims to be frugal yet willfully put on these over priced clothes that don’t do anything for her intelligence level or for the American people. So what if the clothes go to chairty- do you really think that poor folks who are a mere “heartbeat” from losing their homes want her sloppy second-hand clothing?- what are they going to do with it?- they are not CEOs or corporate “mavericks” who will wear this stuff to a board meeting inside the cardboard box they will be forced to live in once they’re homeless. Obama is an Ivy League educated individual and a Senator -I’m reasonably certain he can pay for his own clothes. She tacky and undignified. 150K could’ve done a lot more helping those in real need rather than dressing up Caribou Barbie. No one held her down and made her wear those outfits- she did so on her own. I don’t feel sorry for her one bit-if the media chooses to chew her up and spit her out she put herself in that position. She does not represent me. And if we should be so unfortunate to have McCain as out next president- I pray he lives long- I do not think she has the brains to screw in a lightbulb so I certainly don’t want her in a position to have a say so in America’s future-she can’t even accurately tell a child what her new role would be. Heck even folks a McDonalds read the the job description before they apply.
