Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise hold their 2-year-old daughter Suri by the hands as they leave their New York City home on Monday morning.
Tom made nice with Matt Lauer on Friday at the Midtown Hilton Hotel. The 46-year-old actor brought the jokes as he helps roast the 50-year-old Today Show host at the 2008 Friars Club Roast.
“People know Matt and I had ‘that little thing’ a few years ago,” Tom told the crowd. “You know, I was just taking his advice. He told me, ‘Nobody wants to hear about your dopey movie. Go crazy. People will love you for it.’ Matt’s great at giving advice. When Katie [Couric] asked him if she should leave the ‘Today’ show for CBS, he said, ‘Absolutely, you should definitely do that. People will love you for it.’”(Her ratings are less than stellar.)
Tom continued, “Jay Leno was No. 1, but Matt told [NBC exec] Jeff Zucker to cut his contract. ‘You’ll be ahead of the curve before his ratings go down and you’ll look like a genius. People will love you for it.’” (Leno’s ratings never went down.)
Tom joked, “Let’s be honest. We’re roasting Matt Lauer, not Steven Spielberg. So what’s the upside for me — besides meeting Gilbert Gottfried?”

What moron puts toxic nail polish on a toddler who still puts her fingers in her mouth. Look at it! Half of it is chewed off!! Atleast the nanny put 3/4 sleeves on the kid today cause y’all know Katie and Tom couldn’t have figured that out by themselves. But then again, what can you expect from a mother who said she plays with her daughter “all day”, goes and does her play, and then “comes home and plays some more”. If she’s stupid enough to keep a baby up until all hours so she can play with her at her convenience, then she’s stupid enough to not keep her warm enough and put toxic nail polish on her. I don’t think Tom looks “hot” because of a change in scenery. It is plastic surgery!
Other than nail polisher.
From the pictures, they seem to put lipstick on Suri’s mouth too.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Suri wears eyeliner as well, actually, some posts suggested long time ago.

Please tell me something that makes sense for parading a 2 years old girl wearing a summer dress in Autumn in NYC while her famous and rich parents having warm clothes for themselves.
I visited NYC once and it was cold for me as well.

I miss her long messy bangs. Kids are so darn cute. I don’t know how some of you muster up snark over the kids - the parents are one thing, but kids are kids are kids. Just enjoy the cuteness.

this is the craziest b.s. I have ever seen. Not that I expected Katie to care about Suri, but when children are exposed to toxins they develop terrible allergies later in life. A 3 year old should not be wearing toxic nail polish!
Why is it that looks are the important thing to her stupid mother? She hasn’t got anyone fooled. She’s nothing more than a hooker who is trying make everyone believe that she is living this wonderful life. She’s nuts. Anyone that has a brain the size of a pea knows that she set herself up for a miserable life when she did everything Tom Cruise wanted early on. She disassociated herself from friends, family, business associates. She ended her life-long ties with the Catholic Church. She probably calls Tom “Sir” in private.
I highly doubt the story about Tom buying up all the apartments in his building. However, if it did happen to be true, it just shows how he is running from LA. He has destroyed his image, credibility, and his professional relationships and obviously, such a move would indicate that he no longer feels comfortable in Los Angeles.
Hey Tom, you can run but you can’t hide. Sooner or later he’ll leave NYC too because he will find that no one in NYC has any respect for him either.
I honestly think that when his contract with this beard is over, he can rebuild his career and image somewhat. Given time, people will forget about his relationship with Katie Holmes and once that happens, Tom will recover somewhat. As someone mentioned, he obviously can’t get rid of her right now because of a contract. She has brought him nothing but problems since day one.
If I were Tom, I’d just pay her off big in return for custody of Suri. Katie might welcome the opportunity to shop for life. It just seems that the last thing she cares about is being a mother.
