Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise hold their 2-year-old daughter Suri by the hands as they leave their New York City home on Monday morning.
Tom made nice with Matt Lauer on Friday at the Midtown Hilton Hotel. The 46-year-old actor brought the jokes as he helps roast the 50-year-old Today Show host at the 2008 Friars Club Roast.
“People know Matt and I had ‘that little thing’ a few years ago,” Tom told the crowd. “You know, I was just taking his advice. He told me, ‘Nobody wants to hear about your dopey movie. Go crazy. People will love you for it.’ Matt’s great at giving advice. When Katie [Couric] asked him if she should leave the ‘Today’ show for CBS, he said, ‘Absolutely, you should definitely do that. People will love you for it.’”(Her ratings are less than stellar.)
Tom continued, “Jay Leno was No. 1, but Matt told [NBC exec] Jeff Zucker to cut his contract. ‘You’ll be ahead of the curve before his ratings go down and you’ll look like a genius. People will love you for it.’” (Leno’s ratings never went down.)
Tom joked, “Let’s be honest. We’re roasting Matt Lauer, not Steven Spielberg. So what’s the upside for me — besides meeting Gilbert Gottfried?”

In one picture, the colour of Suri’s arm is all mottled from the cold(!), and in the other her nose is red, arms are purple and Katie’s hands look very red i.e. cold. And you are trying to say it isn’t that cold? You are the idiot around here. I have no problem with you adding your opinion, but who are you to tell anyone they are wrong about this family? Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri has weekly hair appointments, it has been claimed.
The tot, who is not yet one, has reportedly been visiting a stylist every seven days to keep her luscious dark locks neat and trim.
However, it is claimed Tom and Katie have some peculiar demands over Suri’s cut.
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: “She is always naked and no one’s allowed to talk around the baby.”

Actually one of the Nana-babies was just here from Thailand, my DIL’s father needed some major surgery. The nana-baby left me her cold. Actually Suri reminds me of my eldest nana-baby–3 years old and Ms. Drama Queen. I could see her cowering from the paps, not because she is afraid, but because she knows it heightens the drama and gets a reaction. Wonder if Suri is the same way. She also doesn’t like coats, but we all just run right over her objections and stuff her arms in one. No 40 degree temps and bare arms for her!

I’m not. I’m not responsible for what gets published by gossip mags. I simply said to look at the 2nd pic down of Suri where she looks like a tyrannical brat.
I just read the Brangelina thread and what struck me was that Tom’s speech about Matt Lauer was focused on Tom and not Matt. Angelina’s was focused on Clint, not her.
Tom seems to be such a narcissistic little jerk! And if Angelina can get in and out of the film festival under the radar (i.e. People reported that the audience gasped when she showed up) without anyone knowing she was coming–
QUESTION–why can TomKat do the same thing in NYC? There are plenty of ways they could get from point A to B without being photographed. If Brangelina/Angie — the most A list of A listers can do it, you would think TomKat could.
Personally I think they like the attention and show up for the photo ops. There have been many times when they aren’t photographed in LA for weeks at a time. Now suddenly there they are every day.

#100…I must disagree with you. When my daughters were younger than three-ish they had vivid imaginations and played dress up all the time. They had little vacuum’s, brooms, purses….everything mommy had, but smaller. And they mimicked her night and day.
It’s true that this is a critical development age, but most childhood ages are just that.
And all my girls developed quite the “fashion sense” very, very young, and since their grades in school certainly don’t reflect any of them as possessing a genius IQ, I figure this is pretty normal. GoodVic…what about your grand-girls?
My boy, on the other hand, nothing close. It was all trucks, cars, sports, and stalking the older sisters for him at that age and that hasn’t changed, except he “helps” me all the time now.

GoodVic…it wouldn’t surprise me at all that a car seat isn’t used since these idiots can’t dress Suri correctly. This is part of the TomKat nonsense…they’re better than the rest of us, and laws don’t apply to them….remember…they “just know”. Maybe TC “just knows” that a car seat would make Suri unhappy because keeping her quiet (not safe or happy) seems to be more important than her health and safety.
Hal…you bonehead…weight is a factor, not age, regarding car seats. Obviously age has nothing to do with weight. Basic physics. And since Suri is tall, yet very frail and thin, she’s a candidate for the car seat for quite a few more years.
To love a child is the greatest joy on earth. To neglect a child’s basic needs (food, water, shelter, safety, and love) is pathetic.
She’s just not a very cute baby.

Nail polish contains several toxic chemicals if ingested, DBP , formaldehyde, toluene and Acetone are toxic.
There is a reason educated people are posting about this, because we know what we’re discussing.
Any child who still sucks their fingers/thumb or bites their nails shouldn’t be wearing nail polish.
Nail polish is toxic and unsafe. The labeling is quite clear. It’s for adults, not toddlers.

It’s 41 in NYC now. Snow showers are predicted tonight. I believe the high today was 50 so the wind chill was probably 45 or less. As usual, no coat on Suri.
They do make organic NON TOXIC nail polish for kids, and with the $$$$ TomKat has ,I’m sure thats what they use!
