though i love seeing their candids, my heart sinks when JJ and other sites posts their private and candid time together. I like it when JJ posted the HSM 3 review and it is still going strong with positive reviews.

anyway, with all the hoopla of HSM3 and offers pouring in for Zac (Footloose, Pirates #4), i hope they manage to keep their sanity and their private relationship intact and strong….. .

I think people fail to grasp the importance of the fact both Zac and Vanessa have loving and supportive parents who are together and have been for over 2 decades. They have watched the importance of making things work TOGETHER in a relationship and how couples can disagree and still come out loving each other—at least I’m fairly sure the Efron’s and the Hudgens’ have had a few disagreements over those years. They had those type people as they grew up watching their backs and leading the way all at the same time. It is also obvious that as these kids could take on responsibility they were allowed and encouraged to do so. They were also taught manners and respect for others. That’s what makes them a lot different than others.

I am not trying to dump on Britney Spears or Lindsey Lohan but in both of those cases they had family dynamics that were deep in problems and the parents were obviously too stressed or burdened with their own lives to really watch what was happening to the kids—and that happens a lot in our world today. So, these young people went out looking for the security in love and belonging somewhere else and with people who were only really interested in making money off of them once they saw how popular they were with some group of people whether it be teens or whoever. These girls got disillusioned and didn’t really know which way was the best way to go or why.

In Britney’s case it would seem once her father got his problems under control that he has been able to step in and try to be the responsible adult he should have been a long time ago. The biggest problem there seems to be Britney not being able to always trust him and the fact she has been in a situation where some cynicism has had time to develop—we see that way of thinking a lot on this site. I wish the best for both girls as it is sad to think that their promise and talent got flushed down the toilet due to lack of a good early upbringing.

Zac and Vanessa have their heads on straight because they come from parents who are NOT dysfunctional. Parents who have stayed out of the spotlight. Both Zac and Vanessa were allowed to be children and establish roots that will keep them grounded throughout their lives.

Britney Spears’ dad was an alcoholic for years and her mother a stage mother. Britney was never allowed to be a child.

Lindsey Lohan’s mother is a momanager who wants to be a teenager herself. Lindsey’s father was an alcoholic who has been in prison. Both of them are still more concerned about themselves than their children.

There parents were so messed up they never stepped up to the plate and took the role of parent. They were so involved in themselves to support and advise their children.

Anyone seen the preview of Zac on Ellen? She “threatens” to cut his hair.
