Here’s the latest PSA encouraging people to vote, which spoofs the last “Don’t Vote” PSA.
Featured: Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Snoop Dogg, Harrison Ford, Julia Roberts, Ben Stiller, Will Smith, Steven Spielberg, Justin Timberlake, along with Sacha Baron Cohen as “Borat,” Zach Braff, Colin Farrell, Neil Patrick Harris, Scarlett Johansson, Shia LeBeouf, Tobey Maguire, Ryan Reynolds, and Jason Segal.

Why is everyone getting so pissed at this? It’s not partisan! Or did the critics not bother watching the whole thing? There was no mention of candidates! Just because celebs participated, many automatically lurch to their favorite ‘I hate Democrat’ responses! Get a grip people.
And Diane… there are just too many things wrong with your ridiculous rant to even start. But in spite of that I would not tell you not to vote.. hell, do it! I don’t care who for!
The apathy here in the US is appalling… people complain about government and then do not vote. My response: you did not vote? Then shut the hell up! You EARN A VOICE by voting or you LOSE IT by not voting. How hard is that to grasp???

To all of you complaining about celebs getting involved - if you dislike them so much, why are you browsing through a blog devoted to them?
Those of you wondering what the actors who aren’t American are doing in the video - the whole world is watching the race and praying (in whatever language, religion etc.) for Obama to win, because the American president is very important in world politics, that’s why the nationality of the actors doesn’t really matter. Bush has made a laughing stock out of your entire nation, those of you who travel probably know this as you may have come across some negative response for being American. When I read some of the comments here, I guess you just prove that Bush is a truly good representative of the American people as some of you seem to miss the point of the ad and to have such a (dis)ability of making logical conclusions that it’s kind of remarkable. In a sad way.
Seeing how most people here spell makes me wanna weep, ’cause the American educational system must really be bad.
I’m really hoping that America will make a good decision this time. Do it for the rest of the world, please. Vote for Obama.

i assure you that not all Americans think that Bush is a great representation of America. Most think he was a horrible president. He has an approval rating of aout 25% which is the worst a president has had in modern history.
We really screwed up when we put that dumbass in office and now we are going to fix it and put Obama in. Hopefully. lol.

first, he is a CHRISTIAN. some one in his family was muslim, doesn’t make him one. if your aunt is a catholic, it doesn’t make you one.
second, at no point in time did he EVER say anything about changed the Flag of the United States of America. that’s just ignorant of you to even say something like that.
third, McCain also has some deep pocketed supporters. if you wish to know where Obama gets his money from, look it up on BarackObama.com; it all comes from donations, just like John McCain’s money.
fourth, the media has definitely NOT taken a “hand’s off approach to Obama”. every single thing he does or says is analyzed every moment of every day. the same as with John McCain. if you don’t believe me, then change your tv to Fox and watch a little “fair and unbiased” republican biased news reporting.
however, there was only one thing that i am able to agree with you on during your whole rant of idiocy. that is: God Bless the soldiers from ANY branch through everything they may face while in service to the United States of America.

It is amazing to me to see the amount of unsubstantiated rhetoric on this blog. This PSA was about KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid. Just VOTE!!! V-O-T-E. It is not ranting and raving about this or that politician.
Tell me, how does this PSA hurts the democratic process? And by that question I do not mean Democratic (for all those ready to hate on this post).
We, as Americans, have a right that many others do not share. When we exercise that right, we are making a choice. That choice is to be heard or to be silent. By now, all of us should be registered to vote. On November 4th, 2008, all of us need to exercise our right.
I do my part by helping people who do not understand the process of registering to vote. (Yes, there are still millions of people in this country that don’t know how to vote). Have any of you taken time to help a friend or neighbor register and vote? Have any of you helped someone of a different Party affiliation register and vote? Have any of you volunteered at a voting facility?
We need to do more than rant and rave about what other people are or are not doing. We need to get up and get involved. Too many times, we like to point the finger. We say, “I’m not voting for ______ because they are going to_____,” without the facts. Well, what did you do to fight for the candidate that you wanted in office. Did you go to any rally parties? Did you work/volunteer in a campaign office? Did you stand on a corner with signs to support your candidate? Probably not.
I did this rant to get to my point. We talk a good game. But, when it comes to action our game isn’t so good. Do something about it on November 4th, 2008. V-O-T-E.
The celebrities are not doing this to shove unstated in the video opinions as to who you should vote for down your throats… the celebrities do this because for some reason it has become the cool thing to do and as many of m as possible want to get in on it before they will have less conveinient ways to promote themselves and make you like them. They want people to think they care, but they don’t because it kind of doesn’t matter who wins for them… celebrites have a lot of power.
