Selena Gomez is Over The July Moon

Selena Gomez has formed her very own production company, July Moon Prods., reports Variety.

The 16-year-old Disney starlet will be able to option articles, hire screenwriters and tie additional talent to packages that can then be shopped to studios.

Selena is also on her way for creating a Disney Channel original movie! She told MTV News, “Yes! We actually want to shoot it here in New York. I think it would have to be that our secret is about to be exposed.

A Disney rep added, “It will be part of the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchie, the same franchise that launched High School Musical and Camp Rock. While it’s only in development, the plan is to have the movie ready for the 2009 calendar year.”

A production company at age 16!!! Go, Selena!!!

ew thats one movie im NOT gonna see. ugh. i cannot believe whats happening to disney. what happened to all the stars with the REAL talent?? Vanessa Hudgens, Mariah Carey, Zac Efron, Britney Spears, …. they may not be the best role models or whatever but at least they have TALENT and are interesting people. disney is sinking so low. all they care about now is the looks. look at selenas face. i bet her face is so heavy with all that makeup.

I am 100% team Miley but I think it’s really inspiring that someone so young is planning on making her own movie.
don’t judge people! I mean I seriously do not like this girl but her performance in “another cinderella story” was good, so why not wait and see what she could/couldn’t do?

NAY! lmfao. she can barely act on the TV show, but no one cares ’cause she’s a good “rolemodel”. that’s all fine and good, but she has no talent. another cinderella story bombed in DVD sales, her song on the tinkerbell soundtrack is horrible, and wizards doesn’t get half as many views as hannah montana. any article about selena has either nick jonas or miley cyrus inside of it, she’s not her own person. she’s nick jonas’ girlfriend or miley cyrus’ enemy. fail.
