OlderSelena Gomez is Over The July Moon
Selena Gomez has formed her very own production company, July Moon Prods., reports Variety.
The 16-year-old Disney starlet will be able to option articles, hire screenwriters and tie additional talent to packages that can then be shopped to studios.
Selena is also on her way for creating a Disney Channel original movie! She told MTV News, “Yes! We actually want to shoot it here in New York. I think it would have to be that our secret is about to be exposed.
A Disney rep added, “It will be part of the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchie, the same franchise that launched High School Musical and Camp Rock. While it’s only in development, the plan is to have the movie ready for the 2009 calendar year.”
A production company at age 16!!! Go, Selena!!!

For your information, Another Cinderella Story did VERY well, the critics surprisingly liked it. Her Tinkerbell song is beautiful and Wizards of Waverly Place became #1 of Children Television Programs for a while now. So next time, get your facts straight if you don’t want to look like an idiot…again.

Selena is a great actress and Another Cinderella Story did surprisingly well on the DVD sales and the critics liked it. So shut up, cause you don’t know anything. This is a really smart career move for her. This way she gets to say “hey I want to do this kind of role” and her team can go out and look for it so, when she is 18 or so and is done with Disney, she has work lined up already. She is taking control of her future instead of cashing in.
So I don’t know why you’re complaining! You don’t have to have MAJOR experience to form your own company, heck even Mary Kate and Ashley own their own company when they were 6 YEARS OLD! So stop making up crazy things and putting it against Selena. She’s just trying to do her job!
