Katie Holmes wraps her feet up in a pair of blue ribbon shoes as she leaves her New York City apartment on Thursday night.
The 29-year-old actress headed to the Gerard Schoenfeld Theatre for another Broadway performance in Arthur Miller’s play “All My Sons”.
Husband Tom Cruise was later seen leaving their Big Apple apartment.

I think she sold her soul for TC’s Black American Express and his contacts in Hollywood. Lets face it…..he USED TO BE a pretty hot commodity until he destroyed his career. Skip the shoes. OHMIGOD is she wearing rubber leggings? Leather leggings? Polyurethene leggings? Whatever she is wearing is making her legs look heavy and they do not go well with the shoes. The shoes would look much better on someone younger in a thigh high mini-skirt or something. On Katie they look awkward and they wear her instead of the other way around.

Katie, Katie, Katie, the Avant Garde high fashion shoe was not designed for unkept soccer moms to walk to work!
These are runway shoes, formal, edgy, beyond statement shoes that are to be worn with over the top runway fashion. Think fashion week in Milan with a Gautier bustier, perfect make-up, and coiffed hair.
Your lack of grooming (or a hairdryer), maquillage, accessories, may suffice for a quick run to thew drugstore in the middle of the night, but if you insist on dressing like this to work, your lack of style cannot be remedied by throwing on a pair of formal runway shoes as you run out the door.
Moreover, these shoes are designed for a formal dress, not pants. That unattractive bunching at the ankle and sliver of skin above the shoe is very unattractive.
The pants are too tight on your thick calves, they appear to be shrink wrapped black vinyl. It’s just too awful.
Honestly, if you don’t have the energy to dry your hair and to at least apply concealer and lip-gloss, high fashion is not for you.

I love the first few seconds, the paps have been waiting, then they See her, LOL.

I remember when Bella and Connor were young, the public hardly ever saw a photo of them. That seemed to be very important to Nicole and Tom(at that time). So now Nicole still doesn’t show off any of the kids and checks herself when talking about them. I think that is just her way of being protective of her kids.

Nicole has always been fiercely protective of Bella and Connor’s privacy. And when they were young, very few pictures were ever captured. It seemed like Tom was in agreement with keeping the kids out of the lime light and trying to let them have a normal child hood.
I guess the question is What happened to this philosophy when applied to Suri? I know they are among the most photographed of couples, but I’m feeling more and more like they are deliberately showing Suri off. She’s got the play and he’s got the film. All of us who know the business and know NYC know there are ways even someone of TomKat’s fame — can move around without paps following them. For some reason TomKat refuses to keep Suri under wraps and private.

They don’t hand her over to the paparazzi, #99. She’s expectedly photographed because she’s famous and it’s always at completely normal places doing normal things like entering and exiting and playing in parks.

Jennifer Garner and her daughter are seen everywhere but I doubt you go around accusing her of pimping her kid out. (By the way, I don;t think either couple are pimping anyone out but I’m just pointing out the double standard).
Those kids were STILL hardly ever seen when Holmes entered the picture, #105. What are you talking about?
Two of the biggest celebrities on Earth can walk around in one of the most populated and famous cities on the Earth without EVEr being seen eh? Okay…
I always find it hilarious when she isn’t doing anything at all and still you find some fault with TomKat, #109.
Jolie and Pitt are the biggest movie stars in the world. I see them daily when they live in New Orleans and they are rarely if ever photographed because they don’t call the paps before they leave the building.
That’s right, Maddox goes to school and no cameras. Joile drives him herself. Brad works on houses in the 9th ward, no cameras.
Then the day before they leave, cameras are called to give publicity to the houses Brad is rebuilding for the poor.
Same when they live in NYC or France. See any photos of those children in the last few weeks? No
See any photos of Sunday Rose? No. Why, Nicole takes her to breakfast and to the park, but no photos.
It’s easy.

You are so right! There are back entrances to all the buildings. Ways to enter and exit without the pap frenzy. Ray is in denial because his precious TomKat can do NO wrong which includes pimping out that baby!

You are right KD, but how does every other actor in the world and folks like the late Princess Diana who was probably the most well known persona in the world and most photographed–how did they and how do they manage to fly under the radar of the paps when they want to?
And I guess that is the key–when they want to.
You know Katie and Suri could “escape” unseen and go to a park outside of the city and by the time the paps got there they can be gone. But they choose not to do it.
I don’t really care one way or the other except for the photographic evidence that Suri doesn’t seem to enjoy being constantly photographed. There are loads of pictures of her hiding her face, covering her ears etc.
To me to deliberately take your child into situations that distress them is more of an abuse than no coat in 40 degree weather.
I realize our resident TomKat poster–Ray/Creature whoever will cry, BUT BUT BUT they are not pimping their child out, there is no way to leave their apartment, hotel room etc to escape the paps–
BUT those of us who know NYC and other large cities that cater to the rich, famous etc. know there are plenty of ways you can avoid being photographed.
Other stars have figured it out including Brangelina who now are the number one most famous couple, most photographed couple etc (according to various polls etc). Are Brad and Angelina’s team smarter than TomKat’s in that they know ways to avoid the paps? How could that be? They aren’t Scientologists! Haha
And yes, you do get photographed and hounded, but even Brange doesn’t expose their kids daily.
And their kids don’t seem as distressed by the pap calls. Violet Affleck doesn’t seem as distressed.
So I guess many of us just don’t get why a couple of so called good parents would put their child in this position..
Plus Scientology although it doesn’t come right out and say you shouldn’t tell a child no, it does talk about letting a child have choices so you aren’t the big bad person stifling their inner beings etc. (You can google scientology/child raising to find articles). Now TomKat doesn’t tell Suri to put her coat on, yet they seem to clearly defy her wishes to be away from the flashes, yells, and pushing of the paps.
I’m sure that I’m not the only one who just doesn’t get their parenting skills/style.

AGREE, ” DANCER “..WONDERFUL POST !!!!!!!!…….Sometimes I watch ” Inside Edition ” or ” Showbiz Tonight “, and they will TELL the viewers, WHAT the Jolie-Pitts, and the Ritchie-Madden clan did, and others, and NOT have pictures…They just show us annoying PAST clips, while the host is talking about something similiar they did a few weeks ago…..Where are the pictures of Katie’s co-stars ???….Do they leave by the side-door or back-door ?……The last time Jennifer Aniston ate a dinner in L.A., they reported she ” left the restaurant via a back door “….Once Courtney Cox was with her in Miami, carrying little CoCo, because it was raining….They entered the front door, and left out the back, the article said…

Actually the shoes are hot , but they definitely DO NOT work with the ( rubber? leather? ) leggings and trench coat. Casual and high fashion DO NOT mix !! I can understand the no make-up , she is on her way to work where it will be done for her. But those shoes have no business being worn with that outfit.
Katie HAS a stylist. According to Katie the dresses she designed were done by her AND her stylist. So if her stylist is to blame for the way Katie is looking….she should be fired!! without references or severance pay!!

To Good Victoria, i have not seen a picture of Katie’s co-stars either. i guess they disappear rather quickly after their play has ended. i live in Manhattan, and have not seen the play yet, but will. i do not even see her co-stars on the street much. So, i guess you can disappear when you really want to.
