Nick Jonas Does PSA For Diabetes

Nick Jonas takes a break on the set of his new Disney Channel series, JONAS, to tape a PSA on Juvenile Diabetes that will air this Sunday, November 2nd. The PSA will air on Disney Channel following an episode of Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream showing how the 16-year-old popstar manages his own battle with diabetes.

EW.com also splurged on an exclusive look at the new series premiering on Disney Channel in May 2009. Oldest brother Kevin says of the episode they recently filmed, ”We’re trying to cook Mom a special birthday cake. We destroyed our family’s home videos, so we have to find ways to make up those memories.”

I didn’t know he’s suffering from diabetes…I know very well this disease and it’s not easy to live with it….he’s very brave…

But that doesn’t mean they can’t hang out and be friends :P
Which they have done.. if you don’t remember her saying..she’s getting close to him + the family..since Demi is of course working with them as well.

He is such an inspiration for young children who are also suffering from Juvenille Diabetes. It’s great for them to be able to see a celebrity dealing with the same issue, showing them how it shouldn’t hold them back. I love him <3!

First, I want to say being a Type 1 Diabetic myself, I am very thankful we have someone as wonderful as Nick to raise awareness! My whole family really respects him. But, secondly, its really annoying to see all the messages saying we support you Nick, we are here for you Nick!!! What about all the other Type 1 Diabetics? Just so everyone knows, most Type 1 Diabetics are children, average age to be diagnosed is 9 years old! I’m 12, and it sometimes makes me feel sad that the only reason everyone is interested in Diabetes is because they want to find a cure for just Nick. What about all of us other Type 1 Diabetics? We go through the same exact things Nick does. So please next time you support Nick, include all of us other kids too :) Thanks!
