The nikki dreamers should see just how ridiculous they are appearing. As pointed out why are they so intent on making Zac Efron Nikki’s boyfriend? He obviously isn’t feeling that. IF by any stretch of the imagination he did feel that way but has allowed his career to be more important to him in that he has perpetuated a myth of being in love with another girl for over a year now since he supposedly fell for Nikki that would be sick. If a fan loves Nikki so much why would you want a guy like that for her?
The facts are, Zac fell for Vanessa BEFORE he ever met Nikki Blonsky. He was in contact with Vanessa all the time while she was touring with HSM and he was filming Hairspray and they saw each other every chance they had during that time. Once Hairspray was done filming he was again with Vanessa. The only times he was with Nikki was when they went somewhere to promote Hairspray. More than once Vanessa was WITH Zac when he was doing his promotions for Hairspray. What does THAT say to these people? Do you think she invited herself to go to these places with Zac? Or did they have to continue to put up a front they (Z&V) were a couple even then. But wouldn’t that be stupid since some stupid gossip sheet was also wanting to push the idea that Zac was having something going on with Nikki??? Desperate people latched onto that little rumor and have not given it up even after all this time that Zac has not even seen Nikki. Nikki fans make themselves a laughing stock and makes some people just hate Nikki. So they need to stop this.
There are many guys who would date Nikki BECAUSE she is obese. There are men who like that. Just because Nikki is obese doesn’t mean she isn’t relatively healthy but because of her weight she could very well end up with some health issues when she gets older. Some people are never going to be a size 5. It is not in their genetic make up.
Zac Efron may date someone or may have dated someone who does not have such a perfect figure as Vanessa but I think it is true he would not be drawn to Nikki in that way because of her weight. He is way too fitness-minded. It doesn’t make him a bad guy. It would be different if he picked at people who have weight problems or made fun of them. He is polite and takes people for how they act but it doesn’t mean he would be drawn to them in an intimate fashion. He was most likely very good friends with Nikki when they were together so much—but it doesn’t mean he felt like that. Now that they are apart he may still be friendly towards her if they see each other or if he would speak of her—but it isn’t so much a friendship where he makes time to see her. But if she keeps up with the way she has been doing she may alienate Zac’s friendship. He may be supportive of her but not if she is going to constantly make it seem there is something going on between them when there isn’t just for her to keep the media attention. Also, being as private as Zac is, I don’t think he is going to be attracted to someone so forward as Nikki is. He may accept that is her personality but I don’t think he wants some kind of intimacy with that type person.
J - I’m guessing you’re a Nikki fan…..time to wake up and smell the coffee. They are a real life couple and have been for 3 years, just in case you’ve been hiding in a cave somewhere. They are not the type to put their relationship on display before cameras at an airport or photocall (it a job, after all) for a premier on a regular basis. Why should they? They are secure in their love and don’t care what naysayers like you say. Wishing doesn’t make it come true, no matter what you non-believers think.

Hey #161…I agree with you…Nikki may be the image they’re not looking for in Hollywood…as some of her weight is hereditary…her immediate family are pretty weighty…Not that Nikki couldn’t lose weight…I doubt if she’d ever be the svelte “Hollywood” type…I recall an interview a while ago while Nikki was filming Hairspray, she had said that they had to keep her eating because with all the dancing she was losing weight and they wanted to keep her looking the ‘healthy’ Tracy Turnblad. It’s not a problem that Zac be friends with all kinds and types of people…just think how shallow he’d be to only be surrounded by beautiful skinnies…

Everyone who are wanting to bash these two need to watch the video of them in Mexico which suzy has posted in her #169 post. It shows how much Zac and Vanessa are smiling at each other and most of the time Zac’s arm is around Vanessa. But when frankly when Vanessa has her arm linked through Zac’s arm it really shows more of an intimate nature in their relationship. After all, Corbin has been pictured with his arm around his co-stars. When Clooney has a premiere he can be seen taking pictures with female costars on the red carpet where he has his arm around them. It’s just what the stars do in this situation. However, sometimes it depends on where the hand is placed or how the stars are turned to each other, etc, that tells a story. There are a lot of people who cannot get that. However, videos tell a lot more of what is going on since it is continuous movement of the people involved. suzy has given you that in her link.
The thing that get me is how the photographers only seem to snap the moment Zac looks dour and not get one where is is smiling or looking at Vanessa where he is smiling and whispering in her ear or her in his. Maybe they are only intent on getting a shot or maybe they have ulterior motives in the use of such pictures.

Zikki fans are really not in touch with reality. But I guess that’s their only way of dealing with life - being delusional - because the fact is no one in their right minds would want to be “intimate” with a FAT COW like Nikki! Let’s face the truth - she’s an OBESE, FAT COW! There’s no nicer way to put it. I feel bad for Zikki fans because they can only fantasize and not be able to get in tune with reality because they know that no one can look beyond the fact that their idol, Nikki Blonsky, is one HUGE HEFFER! #161, I can see in your well-written response that you mean/meant well in trying to make sense of some of the negatives on this thread. I think on a more logical, base thought level, Zac was giving the best advice to ashley.
As you stated, SHE asked him for advice (he did not take it upon himself to tell her she needed to cut out carbs.) He gave the most logical answer to an honest health question. cut back on carbs.
It’s the same as if a rich person were to ask him ‘how do i budget better?’ ‘cut back on your spending’ would be the most logical answer.
Obviously Zac cares about health but i think you may have exxagerated how far that concern goes, to the point that he has somehow critisized a thin girl like ashley or that he judges heavier women. it was a logical answer to her (ashley’s) question.
Vanessa is by no means some sickly skeletal young girl. as the above photos show she has curves and there are no apparant signs of malnutrition. Above all Zac has insisted in interviews that the attitude and character of a person- not their size, that matters. it’s fans that speak on his behalf about what kind of girl/partner he does/doesn’t go for that causes speculation and bickering. he’s not dating nikki so why is there even comparison being drawn between her and vanessa? it’s ridiculous.

I did not mean that his comment to Ashley was an insult, far from it. I meant to emphasize that he IS health conscious and he IS image conscious. There’s nothing wrong with it. All hollywood actors are image conscious, it’s part of their trade.
I maintain that while I consider Zac a great guy, he is not a saint and we shouldn’t put him on a pedestal he can’t sit on.
Of course he cares about the personality of the person he dates ( I see a lot more in V’s personality that appeals to the kind of person he is than in her looks.) but to intimate that looks don’t matter to him is a fallacy and is simply false.
He is a normal 21 year old with red blood and hormones, he said it himself that he likes curves and and sexy legs, it’s not the personality of the legs that he likes, it’s the way they look and feel and it’s normal.
He is not a sexual philanthropist. Like any young couple, he found a girl whose personality, interests AND looks appeal to him and luckily for him, his personality, interests AND looks appeal to her as well. They’ve never denied their physical attraction. That’s honesty.
My post was not drawing a comparison between Vanessa and Nikki. In my opinion, it’s an insult to Vanessa to do so.
I was responding in a non-polite way to a caricature of Vanessa drawn by a Nikki fan, not that V cares but I wanted to express my opinion, it’s a free world.
If one can draw a caricature, another can tell the plain truth. There’s nothing ridiculous about it. It’s more ridiculous to be hating on a young girl because you want her boyfriend for someone worse, like he’s daft and doesn’t know a good thing when he sees it.
Zikki fans need some strong meds if they believe Zac would ever become Nikki’s boyfriend. Nikki wasn’t invited to the b-day party while all his other close friends were. Please save the excuse that she was making a movie in Utah because Nikki being so obsess with Zac she would had caught the first flight to LA to attend that party, even if it might coming to the party late.
If Nikki had been invited she would had told everyone what she given him. I suggest Zikki fans listen to the London Radio interviews where Zac talks about a former cast member from another movie (not HSM) who is causing drama. He didn’t appreciate her gushing over him in her interviews or mentioning his name in her drama. Zac probably considers her more of an acquaintance than a friend.
Bashing Vanessa is going to change the reality that Zac and Nikki will never be together. I sure Nikki even realize that she never going to have a relationship with Zac and has (hopefully) moved on.
I would just like to comment on that ridiculous Enquirer article.
1) There is NO WAY that Zac, being the private person he is, would ever talk publicly about his moving in with Vanessa.
2) He would NEVER make any negative statements about Vanessa’s mother. EVER. He is a respectful young man, who loves his own mother, and would never say anything about Vanessa’s mum.
3) The ONLY believable thought in that article is that Gina has reservations. Being a mom, with one of my daughters just moving in with her fiance, it’s a hard fact to face that your child has made the decision to live with someone and not be married. Ok, I know that’s really OLD-FASHIONED, but that little part of me felt sad that my daughter was giving him ALL the BENEFITS of marriage, like cooking, cleaning, and others I won’t mention, without the commitment. I felt better when they got engaged, I must say. But I know it’s a little tough on parents sometimes, who want only the best for their child, and their happiness.

What started this conversation about Nikki was the links some posted about the Nikki fans insulting Vanessa with pics, etc. Me was just stating what we all know to be fact and was in essence defending Zac and Vanessa. Many of us out of respect for Nikki, her talent, and her fans, and the knowledge that Zac has never said anything bad against Nikki , have restrained ourselves a great deal in saying inappropriate things about her. I don’t like hearing someone call her a fat cow. That is stupid as she is very pretty and she will never be a size 5 because that is not in her makup. It is not true that you cannot be attractive if you are not some tiny little thing.
However, it is true that Zac loves Vanessa. When he says he likes curvy girls let us see the women he has mentioned that he thinks is sexy: Tyra Banks and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Both those ladies are not some skinny-minnies. They are curvy—they are not obese. Ashley Tisdale has admitted she is skinny and has been all her life—and it is true, she doesn’t have a lot of curves, kind of straight up and down. Vanessa, on the other hand is CURVY. She has an hour-glass figure. She has shapely legs that look longer than they are because they are toned and muscular. She has hips—like a woman and an aspect I think our red-blooded male, Zac Efron, likes in a woman. Because Nikki is obese does not make her curvy.

#191, i was speaking in general terms that anyone drawing comparisons is ridiculous (not you since obviously you werent doing that). i was pointing out that zac gave a response that best answered a qustion, that’s all.

If nothing well she would have probably found a way to get on one of the entertainment news shows like ET or Access so she could have given a shout out to him about his birthday to let everyone know she WAS invited. But the recent interview in London makes some of us wonder if Zac isn’t a little put out with the way she has been using his name for apparent publicity purposes. Maybe some of her people have finally cooled her mouth off a bit lately.
