Suri Cruise Hides During Halloween
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes leave Balthazar in New York City and then pick up Suri Cruise from their apartment on Halloween night.
The couple posed for a few pictures as they were swarmed by fans and photographers as they left Balthazar.
On Thursday, Katie and Suri wore matching orange dresses as they played together on a Central Park playground in New York City.

Your parents can’t stop torturing you. They are addicted to exposing you even though they know you don’t like crowds and paps because they think you are a strong woman and you will eventually get used to it.
Well I can see that you never get used to it because you are just a little girl. I can see that they are idots who can’t understand why you have to cover your ears and hide your face.
My suggestion for next time they are exposing you is to do more than just crying and hiding your face. Throw tantrums, big one in front of paps and people. Play crazy like you are being possessed by an alien. Perhaps by doing that it will finally make your parents will realized that you really don’t it.

I can’t take it anymore. I can’t stand that she isn’t wearing warmer clothes. It was 60 degrees yesterday, but during the day only. I guess they feel that she shouldn’t bother wearing a coat becasue they would just have to take it off of her when she got in the car? I am trying to understand. The child clearly can’t stand the noise or the picture taking either. Why subject her to all of this nonsense? Isn’t the well being of the child more important than the picture taking???? There are ways of going about doing this the right way.

I find it crazy that they could use jackets everyday and don’t use nothing but summer dresses for Suri. I live in NY and is cold here I even started to use a coat instead of a jacket because I feel so cold. And I see the same thing everyday in you post pictures of them and to tell you the true I feel confuse why would a parent not think about their child first.

Various people tip off photographers. Somebody saw them in the restaurant. The pictures are of two separate occasions. They were going to their car with Suri. They adore Suri. What’s with the cracks about diapers. You people are like unpleasant nosy neighbors with too much time on your hands. If Suri is still wearing diapers that is not a sign of abuse; too early potty training might be. Don’t hate them because they are beautiful, talented, rich, and famous and you’re not.

I just wish Suri would have more practical clothes on once in a while…like a coat, I mean its only a 6/7 weeks before Christmas…we’re in the middle of winter, even now at 16yrs my mum won’t let me out the house without a coat on!
Another thing I don’t like is how Suri always seems so distressed. You can’t just blame the paps either. If I was her parents, I’d hold her close, cover her eyes or even put the blanket over her so she isn’t as scared. Or go out the back door so theirs less noise & camera flashes!!
Sacha, hate is a strong word. If we dislike them, it doesn’t mean we’re jealous because they’ve got more money etc…it just means we don’t agree with how they treat their child. Of course, we cannot comment really as we do not know how they care for her in the privacy of their own home…we can only go off what we see.
Some children are scared of crowds and loud noises/lights, and thats why I cover the little one’s eyes & ears, and have her bury her head into me so she feels safe. I think Katie & Tom should do this with Suri.

One day a pic of Tom wrinkled like a bulldog, the next day smooth like a baby.

I myself am a foodie and j’adore bistro fare, however I was also a professional nanny for years.
Children under five do not eat food with strong tastes and almost always prefer simple food, simply prepared. Plain food or as it known in England, nursery fare.
The place for Suri on a winter night during their 2 hour meal was at home in comfy pjs. Her Disney dvd playing as Nanny fed her a nice nutricous bowl of vegetable soup with a tiny grilled sandwich.
However, it seems Katie knew Suri wouldn’t eat Fancy french food marooned in wines an vinegar, as Suri is carrying a box of Pumpkin marshmallow Peeps for dinner.

I agree with everything except the potty training. Some children, especially those who move around a lot (from house to house) do not potty train until 3. That is normal and often has nothing to do with the parents. If she is past 3 and still in diapers THEN I have a problem.
Everything else they are dong to that poor child is ridiculous. There are so many cute winter clothes for little girls…sweet sweater dresses, little plaid jumpers, patterned tights and leggings, trimmed jeans. The boutiques Katie shops at have darling little matching outfits, I’m sure, with beautiful coats. Even Gymboree and Gap have darling little things for girls. I do not have the budget that Katie and Tom have and my 23 month old is dressed way cuter than Suri. And why is she never in pink or pastels? Why those oranges, reds, navys and blacks all the time?

They didn’t take her to the restaurant. There are two sets of pictures there and the article clearly states that Katie and Tom went to the restaurant and then went home and got Suri.
Some people don’t trick or treat; don’t believe in it or don’t need it. It’s not abuse to not take your child trick or treating, especially at 2 years old. But.
How do you know they didn’t let her knock a few doors in the apartment building and do a little trick or treating. You’re not inside, have no idea what happened inside earlier, with or without her parents.
This couple is too weird for words. From their public behaviour with their daughter, I draw the conclusion that she’s a prop for them. They put on a better show when she was a baby or maybe they truly felt differently at that time. But their behaviour with her now, in public, is horrid.
I can’t take anymore. Little Suri is cowering and so unhappy and most likely very cold while both her warmly dressed mother and father are grinning like two villiage idiots for the cameras.

When I look at Katie, I see someone with poor hygiene. She always looks so nasty…maybe it’s the lasting memories of her herpes sores that I can’t shake.
I’ll bet she and Tom have never even seen each other naked. They are such phonies.
WHEREVER they went when these pictures were taken, Katie could
NOT have been there long because she had to be at the theater
by 6:00 or 6:30 p.m. to get ready for the play AMS. They probably
took Suri to the theater and left her in the dressing room (Katie
converted into a play area for Suri) while Katie performed in the play.
When these people want to be photographed they are, when they
don’t want pictures taken they manage to get inside the building
without any one taking their picture.
They are indeed a controversial couple. I think Katie is smiling because she’s got new veneers in the front section of her upper
mouth.
Katie also appears to have gotten some type of tanning done to
her skin because she looks darker. Yesterday she was seen
without makeup going to the play which makes sense because
they have to apply stage makeup on her. But several posters
commented at how pale she looked and now she looks tanned
with new veneers.
There is something definitely wrong with Tom and Katie. They are dressed warm and poor little Suri isn’t. We don’t give a darn about
Suri’s dresses. Please dress that little girl warm!

I totally agree with all those who have said can’t the Cruises spare a few $s and buy Suri a coat. I mean it’s only like $40 for a practical, cheap coat even those with low incomes manage to get their kids coats!!
We’ve never had a lot of money yet my parents managed to get me a coat, and as soon as it became too small she’d buy me a knew one or some relative would…even if it was hand me downs.
Even if Suri doesn’t like wearing coats (I don’t either) they can surely buy her a cosy jacket, with a fake fur lining or something to keep her warm? I think people would slate them less if she had, at least, a jacket/sweater/cardigan on. Or even if she just had gloves and a scarf on!
My (just) four-year-old cousin loves wearing skirts, dresses and combat pants and gets hot easily so she doesn’t like wearing coats but we always ensure she wears tights underneath, even under full length combats IN THE WINTER. She’ll also wear long sleeve tops under dresses . We also make sure she wears a coat and have her wear gloves/mits and a scarf!

I find the first photo of Katie smiling while Suri is obviously distressed particulary disturbing. I can’t believe this kid never is wearing a coat. Ok, so maybe she puts up a fight about wearing a coat outside, but don’t you think once she gets outside, she will feel cold and want her jacket? Do you think it is possible she doesn’t feel pain? I live in NYC and know how cold it is outside. This is just odd.
I can’t stand how every time Suri is being held by either parent and the paps are around, she holds her ears and hides her head in her parent’s shoulder. He parents are oblivious. Are you really stupid or just playing stupid? Dressing a child up in designer outfits doesn’t make her a “superbaby”.
Nobody is hating on poor Suri; we feel sorry for the child and wish we could protect her from her two media-whóring parents who obviously don’t give a damn for that child’s welfare. If they did, they would 1) not take her out to a fancy restaurant at that time of night, 2) put a coat on her when it’s cold out, and 3) leave by the back door to avoid the paparazzi that evidently scare her so much. The kid is being traumatized and all her creepy parents can do is grin at the cameras like a couple of idiots.

Everyone needs to stop judging other people, especially their families. Maybe Suri isn’t cold and maybe she likes to wear dresses all the time. My daughter never gets cold and always wants to wear a dress. At night, we’re all huddled under the covers and she keeps kicking them off! Try to put shorts or pants on her and she kicks even more! She’s two years old and has a mind of her own. I’m sure Suri, like most two-year olds, knows exactly what she wants.

High temperature in NYC today was in the upper 60’s. But those pictures were taken last night when the temperature was in the 40’s. Suri definitely needed a jacket on.
Katie Holmes seems happier when she’s with Suri than when she’s alone with Tom. I guess she doesn’t see Suri all the time so when Tom gives her time with Suri she’s happy. Haven’t seen Katie smile in a long time. Suri’s still with her mother’s designer clothes and no coat, just the blanket. This child is so spoiled its ridiculous. It is a waste of anyone’s time to reason with Vic/Creature et al. He is like those that believe the world is flat in spite of all the evidence that points to it being round. He can’t believe anything negative when it pertains to TomKat. I said it before, I believe their public relations people contact the paps to let them know where they will be next! Suri is obviously upset by the crowds of people and the paps, but Tom & Katie just grin away like everything is perfect.
There are many ways for both Tom and Katie to shield Suri from all the paparazzi’s { negative} attention , IF they wanted to. Many celebrity children are shielded well.
Should they have to use back doors ? NO. Should they have to tell the paps to back off ? Again, no. BUT when they can see that Suri is in distress or at the very least unhappy about it…then it IS their job as her parents to try and control the situation. If that means sneaking out a back door or two , or telling the paps to back off and calm it down , then that’s what needs to be done.
Even though they shouldn’t necessarily have to do it , They SHOULD do it for the sake of their daughter.
It’s obvious they like the attention and work the press well , even if it means making Suri unhappy.

i agree with #7. it always made me insane to see the parents in long sleeves, jackets, etc. and the kid in little sundresses! She should be in layers, she’s a little girl and if they are cold, she’s cold. disgusting.

I live in NYC and there are celebs on every corner. They have families and live pretty normal lives(for celebs). They also leave their kids out of the spotlight or you see very few pics of them. Why is it that Tom and Katie refuse to live on the down low. They could VERY EASILY with their funds, believe me. It is just a matter of Tomkat loving the attention and the paps. It is really sad to see poor Suri not having a regular childhood like little Violet, Kingston,Sasha, Matilda just to name a few.
