ITA. I think some of the critics had their nose out of joint because it was not a typical Eastwood film and some of the obscure bloggers were on an agenda to smear the film. Some critics did not like the length of the movie or the subplots. However, it is a masterful piece of work , well acted and directed. The audience reaction to the film is very favorable with an A- score. I recommend it to anyone who has not seen it.

I don’t understand the complaint about the subplots at all. For one thing, they weren’t “subplots”. THEY ARE THE “PLOT”! LOL. Without them the entire story doesn’t get told and all you have is a distraught woman trying to find her son. How was she going to do that when the entire point of her son being missing is that the police fcuked up the investigation from the get-go and what happened to him only became clear because another kid had to be deported to Canada.

To me a lot of the reviews of the movie were simply people over-analyzing. Even when you’ve got the scriptwriter saying he waded through over 6,000 pages of authentic documentation…they quibbled with the events and the telling of the story. JMS left the mother out of the story, so I’m surprised they didn’t then complain about that. Sometimes critics spend more time looking for things wrong with a movie than enjoying the things that are right with a movie - and that was clearly the case with Changeling.

Yes, it was okay to spill about the wedding. I knew I forgot to tell you guys something when we were driving around after the ceremony. Just before we left Brad pulled me the side and said, “PT…as a fellow Missourian I know you have my back.
