Brad Pitt is Benjamin Button

Brad Pitt is Benjamin Button

A motorcycle-riding Cate Blanchett holds onto costar Brad Pitt in this new still from their upcoming movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. (They both look so gorgeous in the rehearsal shot below!)

Benjamin Button, out Christmas Day, is about a man who ages in reverse. As he grows younger, his love (Blanchett) grows older. Here’s a snippet from the NYT article:

Benjamin, as he says in his voice-over narration, “was born under unusual circumstances” on Nov. 11, 1918, the last day of World War I. As the doctor attending him describes the strange little creature, “He has all the deterioration, the infirmities, not of a newborn, but of a man well in his 80s on the way to his grave.”

Even though I loved Brad & Angelina in MMS, it was just like BOOM :) fireworks, distraction, eye candy, intense chemisty. That’s all a little too much in a movie because you stop caring about what the movie is about LOL!!!!!!!! With Brad & Cate, the chemistry is different but still compatible. Their acting styles go together too. I’d like to see Brad & Angelina in a movie again one day but in a different way than MMS.

BRAD IS THE WORST FATHER IN HOLLYWOOD.
HIS CAREER IS MORE IMPORTANT FOR HIM THAN HIS FAMILY.

…thank you buddy…that’s mighty polite of you…

Andrómeda @ 11/03/2008 at 12:53 pm

I won´t miss this movie!!. Is going to be amazing.
Thanks JJ for the new thread.

The trailer of this movie is amazing, makes you wanna see the movie desperately.

Brad and Cate are like Robert Redford and Meryl Streep, work very well together on screen. I cannot imagine Brad with anybody else but Angie and vice versa on a personal level. Their breathtaking red carpet appearances especially in Cannes last year and this year has erased any past images of them with their past exes.
The movie sounds so good with a lot of potential and maybe the best from David Fincher yet. I can’t wait but in the meantime as fans of Brad and Angie, let’s go watch The Changeling.

Thanks for the new thread Jared.

This troll with an alias of oh and so many others is yet again making her presence known in every Brad or Angie thread. Her envy knows no bounds and a waste of energy by projecting her issues unto Brad and Angie who are just devoted parents first, and somewhere in between talented actors with good movies to speak of and dedicated humanitarians with admirable causes.

Thanks Jared!!! I can’t wait to see this movie. It’s going to be awesome…. I also can’t wait for the jealous Brad haters squirm in agony

Hello to all JP fans. Happy Monday :-)

I just read a story on Angie’s UK Harper’s interview and to me it looks like the usual British cut-and-paste interview…even if the photo is new. Of course the quotes from the story come courtesy of a tab site because everytime there’s a new Angie story they break their necks tearing her apart…so take it with a grain of salt…

Jolie: ‘I’m still a punk kid with tats’

by ANDREI HARMSWORTH - Monday, November 3, 2008
Angelina Jolie has warned she will never say goodbye to her rebellious streak despite becoming a proud mum of six tots.

The yummy mummy remains defiant about her controversial past, which has reportedly included knife sex and now more recently a breast-feeding pose on the cover of a La La land magazine.

Back to her stunning best in her latest photo shoot, Angelina warns: ‘I don’t walk around feeling I need to apologise or explain myself.’

‘I am still, at heart – and always will be – just a punk kid with tattoos.’

And after shocking claims she took her oldest tot Maddox to a gun shop recently, the actress says she won’t wrap her kids in cotton wool.

‘Listen, my kids play video games. I let them play with toy soldiers. We don’t take war and violence lightly, but we don’t hide it from anybody. We say, ‘Mommy and Daddy have movies where we play these characters, but there’s real death and violence in the world.’

She also tells Harper’s Bazaar she’ll only play characters she would ideally want to hang out with, including tough-nut Lara Croft.

‘I tell stories that are about the type of woman I’d want to meet. The type of woman where I think, even if it’s silly characters I’ve played, like in Tomb Raider, there’s something about her that will be fun for my daughters to see one day’, says Jolie.

Meanwhile, insiders says the actress, 33, reportedly upset Brad Pitt’s parents by posing on the cover of a magazine, breastfeeding her new twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline.

An insider claims: ‘Brad’s mum feels they’re using their children as a marketing campaign tool and thinks it’s unacceptable.’

“David Fincher tackling STDs, not like herpes, worse,” is the imagined, beaded brow pitch to the studio. It worked. The director of the Oscar-shunned modern masterpiece Zodiac, as well as Fight Club, is attached to direct a film based on the comics-turned-acclaimed graphic novel, Black Hole, by Charles Burns. Brad Pitt’s Plan B is producing the project, but like DiCaprio’s Akira, no official word if Pitt is involved to star. Roger Avary and Neil Gaiman were set to adapt the screenplay in 2006, but no word if Fincher is doing his own thing here.

Neil Gaiman and Roger Avery Leave Black Hole

After two years, Roger Avery and Neil Gaiman (Beowulf) have officially stepped down as screenwriters of the big screen adaptation of Charles Burn’s graphic novel Black Hole. Gaiman tells MTV that when David Fincher signed on to develop/direct the project, he “explained his process consisted of having over ten drafts, done over and over.” The screenwriting duo were asked if they were interested in doing that. “And we definitely weren’t,” admits Gaiman.

Fincher still has their last draft of the script, but Burns tells Shock that the Gaiman/Avery script is “not going to be used.” And instead, Fincher has apparently brought another writer on to the project. But does anyone know who the new screenwriter is?

Set in the 1970s, Black Hole is a 12-issue comic book miniseries that tells the story of a bunch of teenagers who catch “the Bug,” a fictional, incurable STD that causes them to develop hideously grotesque physical deformities, turning the infected teens into social outcasts. “What we become witness to instead is a fascinating and eerie portrait of the nature of high school alienation itself - the savagery, the cruelty, the relentless anxiety and ennui, the longing for escape. And then the murders start.”

Oprah doesn’t do much for me either and I very rarely watch her show anymore, but I wanna watch to see Brad. I can tune her out this once, it’s not a big deal to me. If she puts her foot in her mouth where Brad is concerned, I’m sure he’ll say something.

MADDOX, PAX, ZEE AND SHILOH ASKED BRAD - WHERE ARE YOU LAST NIGHT?
BRAD RESPONDED: I WAS IN THE BAR TO DRINK.

God bless the Jolie-Pitt’s.

You know people always talk about how Tom Cruise has been robbed of an Oscar, but Brad Pitt has also been robbed. He has given some absolutely incredible performances in his career that were worthy of that statue.
Here’s hoping the academy recognizes him for Benjamin Button!
