OlderKate Winslet - “Vanity Fair” December 2008
Kate Winslet bares it all for the December 2008 issue of Vanity Fair, which hits shelves November 11. Here’s what the 33-year-old British actress says in the mag:
On her fashion sense: “I often look at women who wear great jeans and high heels and nice little T-shirts wandering around the city and I think, I should make more of an effort. … But then I think, they can’t be happy in those heels.”
On her body: “This is going to sound really weird, but I never had a desire to be famous. I never had huge ambitions - never. I was fat. I didn’t know any fat famous actresses. I just did not see myself in that world at all, and I’m being very sincere. You know, once a fat kid, always a fat kid. Because you always think that you just look a little bit wrong or a little bit different from everyone else.”

I never would have guessed these pics were of Kate. They look nothing like her. Anyways I adore her, she is so talented and seems so down to earth.

She does a complete nude photoshoot taken by someone else not her husband and it is gorgeous and an art and Brad takes pictures of the woman he loves breastfeeding their baby which is nothing compared to these pictures and they are slated. hypocrites and jealous haters.

Who is she kidding? I hate how all the super-worshipped actresses whine about how they feel weird-looking and ostracized. There’s something extremely phony about the Keira Knightleys and now Winslet, who get paid millions, blasted in front of all the fashion mags, fawned over just for being who they are, and then turn around and try to have us believe that they really, really, really do believe they’re ugly and insecure…just like the normal people. They are either pathologically delusional or more likely, just selling some false humility.
Those pictures don’t even look like her. Unless someone told me that it was her I wouldn’t have guessed it was Kate Winslet. Is this some airbrusher gone wild? Or did getting really thin now make her look like every other rapidly-approaching-40-and-worried actress in Hollywood?
She’s beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but what I’m saying is that I don’t think she looks much at all like she’s been looking the last 15 years (and that was charmingly rounded, sexy and beautiful)
I’m not a fan of the cover, very Sharon Stone-Basic Instinct…other than that.

I think some of you are too hung up on Kate’s weight. It’s so boring. She’s not the girl in Titanic anymore. She’s grown up, had kids, her body went through changes. She doesn’t look like Keira Knightley but because the insecure chubby regular folks want her to have baby fat forever they will probably get all dramatic about Kate looking “too slim” in this shoot. Kate has been slim for the past 5 years. Did you see her at the Oscars when she wore that blue dress? She was just never too thin or to big. Leave her alone. The fixation on her weight is beyond boring. Talk about her amazing acting instead.
Does not even look like her. Do the celebrities look at these covers and say …. “oh yea…that is a great photo of me…or is not me…geez, I can’t tell!!”
