Gwyneth Paltrow takes a big big big fashion risk at the Two Lovers premiere on Tuesday in Paris, France.
The 36-year-old actress wore a structured Antonio Berardi dress with a sheer front, which included strategically-placed black lace cutouts. The semi-revealing dress showed off her white underwear! Oh-la-la. Gwyn finished off her look with two-toned Rupert Sanderson ankle booties, Chopard jewelry, and a Hugo Boss clutch.
At the London Film Festival last month, Gwyn also dared to be different in a furry Felder Felder jacket with leather sleeves.

^I agree, it would’ve looked great if she had worn black underwear, it would’ve given a great black silhouette vibe. I still give her a thumbs up for taking a risk. It’s a nice dress, the outfit deserves better shoes, though!

Gwynnie is trying way too hard!!! That is not the right dress for a 36 year old woman with two small children. Not a good look for her at all.
I think Gwynnie’s face is getting a bit “hard” looking because she is getting old and she exercises too much (she says he does THREE hours of exercise EVERYDAY!!!). I think she needs a little more meat on her bones.
Joaquin Phoenix is not promoting this movie because he has “retired” from films!!! Besides, he’s usually too high on either drink or drugs (or both) to be coherent for long enough to talk about the movie.

Don’t like the see-through dress, hooker booties, messy hair, or sour expression, but the jewels are nice.

What in the world does she have on? She usually has terrible taste in clothes and her stylist is doing her no favors with this dress. White underwear, ugh!! She looked better for a short while earlier this year, but this looks like something Apple made from scraps of material. And don’t let me get started on those shoes. She is beginning to look as gaunt as Madonna in the face. She is not aging well IMHO.

From artistic point of view, her dress is interesting, it is in a Jean Paul Gaultier style. The dress is unconventional. I would not wear anything like this, but Gwyneth is an artist and she is allowed to be creative even in a radical way.
When she was younger, she seemed to have a better sense of style, or perhaps just a better stylist.
This outfit is just hideous. As someone said, it’s desperate. What is she trying to prove?
I think that she is really a beautiful woman when she lets her beauty show, which hasn’t been alot lately.

Can’t stand her and pretentious attitude that shines through in her fashion choices. She’s always been overrated and made it off her hollywood connections. Want real beauty and style? Try Charlize Theron. Want real talent? Try Kate Winslet or Cate Blanchett.
This is not a very good look for Gwyneth. I don’t think she is pretty, but with the right makeup and styling she can look very striking. Without it, she’s fairly bland.

There is a scene in Iron Man where Gwyneth Paltrow looks delightfully charming in a black, cap-sleeved dress, minimal make-up and classic, black Christian Louboutin pumps. It sometimes amazes me why this lovely woman, who looks fantastic in simple, elegant clothes and natural-looking makeup that makes the most of her bone structure, would consider wearing such — well — “avant-garde” dresses and shoes.
I hope one day, she’ll take a good look at herself in the mirror, and consider that she would most probably look stupendous in a fabulous dress by Badgely-Mischka, Oscar dela Renta, Tom Ford or Michael Kors, (or the wonderful British designer Catherine Walker, who made many lovely dresses for Princess Diana) her hair drawn away from her face with small silver or platinum hairpins, and classic, high-heeled shoes on her feet. These strange outfits and shoes simply aren’t “her”.

This train wreck of a, dare I say dress, should never even have been made. That said, it also never should have been purchased, let alone worn in public. I’m both stunned and appalled.
What we are seeing is a 1950’s girdle opened up on the bottom and then sewn on top of a sheath dress as a sort of applique.
‘m in actual shock that the “crotch” piece, which ran between the wearers leggs and around her bum (my apologies for using a word I usually never would ) has been extended down the bottom front of the dress ?!!
The entire concept is in horrifically bad taste.
I amend my previous critique, it was pointed out to me that the dress is indeed a girdle sewn onto the dress but without backing. I can now see her underclothes.

I think you might be confusing what a 36-year-old looks like with a 25-year-old playing a 36-year-old character because the 36-year-old was too old looking to play a character their own age. She looks exactly how she should for her age, only better.
