Brad Pitt Munches at Mercer Kitchen
A mustache-wearing Brad Pitt grabs dinner at the trendy Mercer Kitchen inside SoHo’s Mercer Hotel in New York City on Thursday night.
Always the gentleman, the helpful 44-year-old actor was seen letting a woman pushing a baby stroller pass before entering the restaurant.
Brad is keeping his mustache for his role in Quentin Tarintino’s Inglourious Basterds. The upcoming ensemble war film/spaghetti western is expected to be released in time for release at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2009.
UPDATE: It seems Brad was just walking into the Mercer Hotel but dined at Il Cantinori.

He was in NYC probably doing some press or photoshoot for his upcoming movie, they usually do it a month b4 the opening.

Boy To Take On Monsters, Cinema
We’ve seen him as a Vegas hustler, a crazy time-traveler, an assassin with marital problems and even as Achilles himself. But Brad Pitt may just have bitten off more action than he can chew with new project Battling Boy. The movie - to be adapted from an as-yet unreleased graphic novel by io9 favorite Paul Pope - has just been optioned by Pitt’s production company, and might just be 2010’s most insane summer blockbuster.
Creator Pope explained the plot of Battling Boy - to be released as a graphic novel in 2010 - like this:
Battling Boy is the son of a god or a super hero—it is left unspecified—who comes down from the top of a mountain (or rather, from inside a cloud/UFO contraption/contrivance from above a mountain top) at this father’s behest, in order to rid a giant city from it’s plague of monsters. Hercules had his labors, Batman has his Gotham, Battling Boy has his Monstropolis.
Monstropolis is a city the size of an entire continent—and it is absolutely overrun with monsters. These are horrible, Grimm’s fairytale, Beowulf-ish monsters, awful things. Child-stealers. Plus some of the vampires and mummies and wolfmen we remember from the old black and white Hollywood horror films. Which—if you remember—aren’t very funny. And they don’t all like each other, either. Even a monster can’t stand another monster, this has been proven time and time again.

Brad is there promoting CCBB with Paramount staff. This movie is an estimated $200 million film and Brad is doing what he is supposed to do in support of this film. Brad flew to Chicago on Tuesday with Paramount staff then they flew yesterday on to NYC.
As all can see Brad has his phone in hand, the phone he told the entertainment reporters in Toronto that he used to stay in touch with his family when he was away from them.
Just like Angie flying in with the twins to appear on the Today show for an interview, then going back to Berlin, then on to Afghanastan with UNHCR by her self, then back to Berlin, then on to LA to honor Clint Eastwood with the kids. Brad then went to LA after filming late on the 28th and then hopping on a plane to LA and arrived on the 29th.
Brad and Angelina are professionals, they are conscientous and do what is expected of them workwise. This is one of the reasons they are both so in demand for roles, studios know they can count on them to do what is needed to support their projects. Sometimes that means they are apart for a few days but not for more than that.
But you fools know this well.
