OlderTaylor Swift: Joe Jonas Dumped Me Over 27-Second Phone Call
Taylor Swift confirms she was dumped by Joe Jonas over the phone in a record 27-second call in October.
Ellen DeGeneres says on her talk show (airing Nov. 11), “He broke up with you on the phone? That’s not right.”
Taylor responds; “It’s all right - I’m cool. You know what, it’s like, when I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful When I look at that person, I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 27 seconds when I was 18.”
Ellen was shocked by Taylor’s honesty, saying, “No, you did not. Aw, snap!”
Taylor continued, “I’m sorry. I had to. [The split] was, like, a record, I think, for how quick. I looked at the call log - it was like 27 seconds. That’s got to be a record.”
When Ellen asks Taylor if she’d date Joe’s brothers, Kevin or Nick, she said, “Oh my gosh! Probably not!”
Taylor also took to her MySpace Celebrity page to dispel pregnancy hearsay: “I read a very creative rumor this morning saying I’m pregnant, which is the most IMPOSSIBLE thing on the planet. Take my word for it. Impossible.”

I don’t care who you are or how old you may be. NO ONE deserves to be dumped in a phone call, especially such a brief one at that. Could have done it face to face that would have been the gentlemenly thing to do or if it had to be done via phone a conversation leading up to and explaining would have been better than what she got. You know what they say though hang back girl and watch. What goes around comes around…..
This is further evidence that The Jonas Brothers are utterly talentless, classless hacks. God Bless Taylor Swift. She’s such an amazing talemt and deserves a genuine good man, not a tool like Joe.
okay. really? she’s living in TENNESSEE and he lives in CALIFORNIA.. was he gonna get on a plane and fly the some 2000 miles to break up with her? really? people are getting worked up about something that’s kind of ridiculous. i mean, whats he gonna do fly there, break up with her and hop on a plane back to LA, just to ‘do it in person’? i think not.
also can anyone say publicity? her album drops tonight. i love taylor swift but shes running her mouth and the jonas brothers are pretty private and don’t talk about their relationships because they respect for the people they have them with..
He could’ve waited. This move shows that he was with her for publicity and was desparate to end it quickly. He’s a tride and true douche.
She really does have to move on.
