Christina Aguilera is the latest celebrity to speak out against California’s Proposition 8, which eliminates the right of same-sex couples to marry. The ballot measure overturns a state Supreme Court ruling that briefly gave same-sex couples the right to wed.
She told MTV, “Last night, there was a whole rally that I saw for Prop. 8. A lot of people came out with their signs, and I think [Prop. 8] is discrimination and I don’t understand how people can be so closed-minded and so judgmental. We chose an African-American president, and it means so much … [it's] a time in history of great change and open-mindedness. Why is this any different? It just doesn’t make sense to me. Why you would put so much money behind something [aimed at] stopping from people loving each other and bonding together? I just don’t understand it. It’s hard for me to grasp. But I would’ve been out there with my rally sign as well.”
Christina ended with, “Mormons aren’t gonna buy my album but, you know, what are you gonna do?”

Im happy this won. Its Hollywood/Blacks and 50% versus the united Catholics,Evangelicals,Mormons,Blackwater(U.S.military),international support,50% white and minorities like Asians,Armenians,Hispanics against GAY marriage.
Why do these celebrities think everyone has to agree with them. They lost, get over it. Why are they so obsessed with being married anyway. Since when did that become so trendy? You are just as married with a civil union. Lets be open minded; maybe pedophiles will be acceptable next.

Christina is ignorant. To try to use Obama’s historic win as a crying rally for legalized same-sex marriage is just plain stupid and if I were Obama i would issue a statement for all single-minded celebritites to stop using his win as a freebie advertisement to condone their views on same sex marriage. Obama is a devout person of religious faith and he too believes in traditional marriage even though he does not approve of Prop 8 passing, I know in his heart that he like all people who attend church and pray to a higher God that traditional marriage is still something that we can truly support and believe in. and hollywood should just remember that they are there to entertain us not advise us and we the public buy their albums, watch their movies and buy their products. were we to go on a massive boycott, they would be living like us po’ folks straight or gay.
It wasn’t just the Mormon community that made this happen. It was people from all religious faiths that made sure their beliefs were respected. Let’s not piss Him off by challenging Him because he can humble us by some major catastrophe (eathquakes, floods, tsunami’s and lets not forget katrina) .

Why don’t we just give this great beautiful land back to the Indians, the way things are going. Let them ship us back to Europe, to Africa, to Asia, to Mexico, South America, Canada, Mars, Pluto… etc. What does the Indians have to say about it? They should put an Indian in the White House!
Christina is an amazing singer and in my opinion she is the most beautiful person on the earth but beauty can differ from people to people, why are you so full of hate? You may not like her but why diss her?
