Gerard Butler Takes Date To Arcade

Tinytot - I thought of Gerard Butler with this BI. When he will be asked about a girlfriend, he can say he just broke up with someone. He always says that in his interviews.

It was so out of character if he is sooooooo private to be at such a public place with a date, and then kiss her in public too.

Also, since when is Gerry Butler considered an “A-list action star”? Sounds like a bit of a stretch to describe him given that he’s had more flops than hits in his film career. I think more of someone like Daniel Craig as an A-Lister than Gerry Butler. So we’d better run down the list of A-Listers who have films out right now, so we can create the “short-list” of who the blind might be talking about.

Sorry, Clarinda, er, Tia, but you’re information is terribly faulty. There is not a single shred of evidence via media or admission by Gerry that he’s dated ANY of the women that you mentioned. You need to seperate (fan) fiction from fact and keep an open mind about PR planted media blurbs. There’s no evidence to support that he was even with Bianca, just a couple of (strained) pictures and the fans filled in the rest. Even this video looks contrived and rehearsed. Sorry, I don’t buy it for one minute. The man is NOT heterosexual. There have been rumors out on him for nearly a decade now and I don’t believe for an instant that people are going to keep saying the SAME thing about someone for years if there’s absolutely no validity to it.
Not to mention that the “Playa meets Gomer Pyle” image that has been created for him (complete with play along with the gag jilted ex lover gossip columnist) is nothing more than a fabrication that contradicts itself every other week.

Tia marie, the comment about Simone is not true, she was engaged to be married during the filming of Atilla and they are friends, but he does stay at her place when in Australia sometimes,He did say in an interview for the movie that if she hadn’t been engaged they could have maybe had something together, he thought she was really beautiful, #116 Anna Friel was with (”Professor Lupin,” from harry potter movies” I can’t think of his name right now) but he was also in Timeline, they are married and have a child, It is an insult to Gerry to claim it was anything more then professional between them and her husband right there at the time! you will find that in most of GB’s movies the ladies , he has scenes with ,are either dating someone else, serious about who they are with or engaged or married.

All this argument and speculation amazes me constantly. I wonder why it is necessary to skewer people (wit deleted swear words and insults sometims) who write in giving opinions that differ from yours. I don’t know why I am in on this at all. I don’t know half the stuff people are ragging about or the people contributors are talking about, can’t imagine what it must be like to live in L.A. in this kind of smoky, snoopy, gossipy atmosphere. We get one point, that for whatever reason, GB is a controversial dude. I was impressed by him at first, but there was also something lurking in his attitude and personality that made me uneasy. Either he has become something he wasn’t before his Hollywood success, or he never was the person he convinced people he was, and fooled a lot of people for a long time about what he really wanted in life. I don’t know him, so I try to believe nothing I read, but the issue of how people argue about him, adore him and scorn him, has become more interesting than the man himself. I don’t believe in Hollywood, period. I was going to comment on individual comments I liked, especially from soOver him, (disillusionment can take longer than adoration to process, so stop telling people to get a life, loyal fans). I liked Sherri’s desertion in the ranks comment even if she was on the opposite side. It’s starting to look like the potential fall of a rising star. There were so many other provocative comments. As someone said, the public is fickle, Hugh Jackman and a bunch of others are potential new A-listers. GB may have blown it with his behavior. Or not. Who knows? It was strange to feel that others had opinions similar to mine, that a tide seems to have changed, even if it’s about something that doesn’t really matter. Jeepers. American just elected its first (half) black president, a shot heard–and celebrated– round the world, and people are discussing what race of woman Mr. Butler likes to date?

Does anyone else think it is weird that she talked to the paps? Also, why would they post her full body pictures and did they have to ask her permission first?

I think you are right, if someone is not a celebrity the paps would need to get the person’s permission to take their picture and post it.

I agree this whole thing is extremely weird. She looks as if she almost poses for the paps. And when you watch the video you see that she even asks a pap to repeat his question she didn’t understand. She doesn’t seem to be bothered by the paps at all. Also, I wonder why she didn’t leave the pier with Gerry, why on earth does she stand there all by herself with the paps? If I was dating a celebrity I’d be mortified if I was left stranded with a bunch of paps surrounding me. I’d run away as fast as I could. But she doesn’t seem to be intimidated at all. Even if Gerry just went to get the car (but then there should be pictures of him returning), I for my part would have gone with him instead of waiting on the pier with all the paps. That doesn’t make any sense at all unless someone wanted her 15 minutes of fame.

Also, is the Santa Monica pier a known pap hangout? If so, why did they go on a date there in the first place? And if not, why were the paps there? Who told them it was worth their time showing up at the pier? A random bypasser who recognized Gerry? Gerry himself (which doesn’t make sense to me - if he just wanted to be seen with a girl, he could have staged it with more class). The girl? The paps seemed to be very friendly to her, not herassing her at all. Something about this just doesn’t add up.

- no one called the ‘paps’, guess it was crazy for two people to think they could just have a little fun at an arcade on a Monday night without being photographed.

- maybe they split up ’cause Gerry figured the ‘razzis’ would follow him.

- once they did follow her, she was probably caught off guard and only answered the questions ’cause she was stuck on the corner at a red light with a bunch of cameras in her face.

-either they don’t need permission or she’s considered a celebrity, ’cause nobody gave permission to take a picture or post it.

There are some people who have the ability to see through Hollywood and just be real people. To relax and play a little skeet ball on a Monday night is just a real people fun thing to do. Perhaps they got caught up in a ‘real’ moment and forgot there they were really in Hollywood.

I have to agree with #s 142, 143 and 144 ( and Im thinkin there were several others who also commented that they think it is a set up) though I like GB…it is weird…. glad he is out and about dont get me wrong-but it comes across as another Cheryl Burke “date”. Dating the image and not the man and even Cheryl had talked to the paps…..where was Gerry then?
