High School Musical 3: Melbourne Madness
Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens (both in Jenny Packham) stand side-by-side Zac Efron at the premiere of High School Musical 3: Senior Year at the Village Jam Factory on Wednesday in Melbourne, Australia.
More than 1500 screaming and adoring fans showed up at the premiere at Sydney’s George Street cinemas.
“It’s very overwhelming,” Vanessa said at the Sydney premiere. “It’s incredible though, the fans are so amazing.”
“I love being a part of High School Musical, I wish I could do it forever but everyone’s got to grow up,” Zac said. “I’d love to try it all. I’ll see where the wind takes me.”

i read the mirror story, i found it interesting though, i think it is pure jealousy, nothing else. she and her family really worked hard to be where she is now, dont hate her, but admire her. A CERTAIN NOBODY MADE IT IN HOLLYWOOD is enough to make a lot of people jealous…….it is pure talent and hard work plus perseverance……..and that is what i am teaching my kids to be like. Good luck to zac and vanessa……….by the way, she looks amazing…………

Why are they orange? These girls are so pretty, but they look old and tired with that fake tan stuff. (OK, old and tired for them, but far better than I could EVER look) Why can’t they go for a more natural look? I am sick of orange people. Anyway, thanks for the pics.

Mia, now a fashion student in New York, says their close friendship fizzled out as Vanessa’s career took off, but added: “I knew she’d make it.” Others at the school are just plain jealous of Vanessa’s global success.
The Mirror received a string of hate-filled messages on networking site Facebook. One former classmate, David Sandow, 19, said: “Most people I knew thought she was a total *****.
Former student Alicia Armstrong said: “She wasn’t very liked. She was just mean in a snotty girl kind of way. And we’re all kind of disappointed that out of all of the talent at school… she was the one who became successful.”
Despite what her critics say, Vanessa had obvious talent from an early age.
Aged three Vanessa would prance around in a Catwoman outfit, doing routines to the track Everybody Dance Now.
She loved to sing and aged seven stole her parents’ CD of Celine Dion’s The Power of Love and sang the songs repeatedly.
Her first public performance was as Mary in a pre-school nativity play.
Her mum gave her a new doll to use for baby Jesus, a big deal because the family didn’t have much money back then.
Vanessa quickly graduated to local and community theatre productions of Evita, Carousel, The Wizard of Oz and The King and I.
She also appeared in How the Grinch Stole Christmas as a nine-year-old and sat on the Grinch’s knee - to the horror of the other kids in the audience.
She made her film debut in Thirteen, aged 14. But it took a stream of rejections to land a big role. Vanessa recalled once: “I was never Asian enough, Hispanic enough, white enough.” The big break came in 2006 when she was chosen for the first High School Musical, beating eight other girls to the role.
The movie spawned a hit soundtrack, a worldwide concert tour, a show at Walt Disney World and even a book series.
Despite her success, fame has made Vanessa vulnerable. And last year she needed the support her parents more than ever in a career-threatening scandal.
Nude pictures of her, meant for boyfriend Zac’s eyes only, suddenly surfaced on the net.
Parents of her millions of young fans voiced dismay over a photo of a smiling Vanessa standing naked directly in front of the camera. She publicly apologised and, despite speculation she would be dropped from High School Musical 3, Disney kept her in the cast.
Vanessa, who has estimated annual earnings of more than £1million, turned to 21-year-old Zac for comfort. He too is a global superstar and is a huge support for her.
The pair began dating after they appeared together in the first instalment of the film franchise in 2006, and Vanessa was immediately drawn to Zac’s physical appearance.
“Ah, he’s hot,” she often says and the two are now inseparable.
Vanessa has certainly come far since her performance alongside the Christmas Grinch.
She constantly talked about wanting to be a successful actress and very rich.

gosh V shud definitely sue these writers for Mirror. The story is obviously fabricated. Gosh…things envious people do to put successful people down. & know wat, that article made me feel really sorry for V. made me love her even more. of course, ashley fans who are V haters rejoice upon reading the article, not seeing beyond the black propaganda behind it.
anyhow, go V! we’re here for u all the way! ;o)
and so wat if nessa’s mom was a cleaner (which obviously is VERY UNTRUE)? she’s not a drug dealer or a prostitute for chrissake!
