Nicole Kidman - CMA Awards 2008
Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban hit the red carpet at the 2008 CMA Awards at the Sommet Center on Wednesday in Nashville, Tenn.
The 31-year-old Aussie actress paired her Jil Sander dress with a black patent Ferragamo clutch with geometrical pattern.
Last night, the couple hit the 56th Annual BMI Country Awards at The BMI Building in Nashville, Tenn. (BMI stands for Broadcast Music Inc.)
Nic’s latest outback flick, Australia, opens everywhere on Friday, Nov. 26.

Oh she’s wearing that stunning dress from Jil Sander, I think? I remember that from SS 09. I think, I remember something like that, unless it was from another designer, but I don’t remember.

Did anyone else notice that the sound quality of the CMAs really sucked. My wife and I turned it. The acoustics were horrible and you couldn’t even understand what the singers were saying because the instruments drowned them out.
We were very excited to watch it tonight but ended up turning it because of the horrible sound quality. Trust me, I have a nice stereo system too and I know it should have sounded 10 times better.

Hideous dress and something that is actually unflattering on NK—makes her look pregnant…and her hair parted in the middle is awful esp when it’s shellaced to her head, bad all around.

You can’t think of another reason why she would put her hand on her belly? How about to get the tabloids asking if she’s pregnant again? She has gotten lots of mileage out of that little PR move throughout the years. It’s one of her tried and true famewhore stunts.

The double standard on these sites crack me up! If this was Katie and Tom, you all would be talking about her matronly outfit, her flat shoes, his padded shoes, and how she has to slouch next to him to make him look taller.

You are right! And I just left a comment that Katie looked 90 on the other thread.
BUT Nicole isn’t looking matronly, her shoes are kitten heels which go with the outfit, Keith wears what he always wears when he dresses up and she is not slouching. This is a classic Nicole stance.
PLUS all of her accessories go with the outfit. This includes hair, earrings, make up, shoes, and the dress. She doesn’t look as though she walked into a Wal-mart or a K-Mart blue special and yanked the clothes off the rack.
Katie has the body and the looks to dress sharp and cutting edge, but she instead dresses like either a teenager or an old lady. Whoever Nicole uses as a stylist, Katie should steal that person away. It is a crying shame that Katie doesn’t utilize the fortune she married, the resources that come with being an A lister (although I think they are both dropping slowly to B), and the expert advice of those that fix up Hollywood stars all the time.
Nicole looks like Chanel. Katie looks like Jacquelyn Smith meets the babushka lady.

She is a beautiful woman but is starting to show her age just a bit. Maybe it’s the hair or maybe she’s too skinny but Keith is the same age as her and looks at least a few years younger. I don’t think the dress does her any favors either.
