OlderJoe Jonas: I Did Not Cheat On Taylor Swift
Joe Jonas isn’t going to take this lying down!
The 19-year-old middle Jonas brother is speaking out against ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s accusations of him being a cheater and his 27-second break-up call. Here’s what he posted on his latest MySpace post:
“This blog is not an attack of anyone. Anytime you are in a relationship for any length of time there are going to be issues. Sometimes they resolve. Other times they lead to a change of heart. This was the case recently.
Several things I will state with all my heart… I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true. Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed. I am truly saddened that anything would potentially cause you to think less of me.
For those who have expressed concern over the “27 second” phone call. I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk. A phone call can be pretty short when someone else ends the call. The only difference in this conversation was that I shared something the other person did not want to hear.
There were later attempts at communication that had no response. I wish the best for the other person but could not sit back any longer and leave our fans with a wrong impression of the truth. Hope this helps enlighten a little.”
UPDATE: Curiously enough, Taylor’s original quote to OK! was “[Joe and actress Camilla Belle] have been together for months. That’s why we broke up.”
OK! has since REWRITTEN Taylor’s quote to say: “They’ve been together since we broke up. That’s why we broke up - because he met her.” Something’s fishy!!!!!!!!!

I know Joe is telling the truth. I do not care what other people are thinking about this breakup. I do get the 27seconds thing because it turns out I have the same phone that dose the same thing with time. Let’s read Joe’s response and see if Taylor is telling the truth…
1. Joe broke up with her over the phone - True, he admits this and this is pretty nasty thing to do to a girl. Put yourself in her place.
2. Joe broke her heart - True, he says he was telling her things she didn’t want to hear, hmmm, like breaking her heart?
3. Joe started dating Camilla and that’s why they broke up. - True , isn’t that what he means by “the heart moves on”? C’mon girls that’s a guy’s way of saying “I wanted to dump her because I met another girl”.
4. Taylor is telling the truth. All the things she has said are true by his own account. He can spin it all he wants but we all know Taylor is not a liar or a drama queen. She got dumped for another girl and that hurts.

im a teen i sometimes try to sound smart like that cause i know im capable of do it,but when talkiing like that trying to defend myself i would not sound like that. this sounded like a professional person wrote this. it pisses me off. and i do think he cheated on her. no matter how he was raised boys are still boys they get temped and needy.

I’m so glad Joe spoke out about the things that Taylor said about him. I truely believe that he did not cheat. By the way, I think he is so much better of with Camilla Belle anyway.

Oi! I smell a rat! He can say what he wants, but with fans outraged, what else would he do? Say, “yeah, I’m a jerk?” No, of course not. HE seems a little defensive and didn’t even mention her name. What’s classy about that. It seems a little immature to me. A nicer thing to say would be, “taylor, I’m sorry if I hurt you but I didn’t mean to. I just wanted to say that no one can know the whole story, and I don’t want to sound petty and explain it to you fans just so I don’t lose you, but understand that people say things when they are hurting that they don’t necessarily mean. Thank you.” Would that have been so hard? He could have still covered his butt without throwing her under the bus, and has someone told HIM that OK! wrote her quote wrong? I bet he might be a little less dismissive of Taylor if he knew that. It’s because of the way that he’s handled this situation that I have lost all respect for him. Taylor, I still love you!
Taylor is the most beautiful girl in the world. You take that back!!!! And she’s not a drama queen. She was sharing her experiences with her fans so that they could get to know more about her and where she’s coming from. She is probably still reeling from the breakup and sick of people thinking he’s a grat guy when he obviously doesn’t have a lot of respect for the girls he dates, if he can’t even go look her in the eye when he breaks her heart. As a song writer she feels like writing about and sharing her experiences and that is what makes her Taylor Swift, different than every other celebrity trying to hide their entire life. IF you were in the grocery store in her home town and asked her about the break up, she would tell you the same thing. Why is it any different on national tv? She loves all of her fans and wants them to know the truth and she is probably lonely and wanted someone to confide in. It has probably been killing her watching all those people freak out about how great the Jonas Brothers are. There’s only so much a girl can take!
