OlderJoe Jonas: I Did Not Cheat On Taylor Swift
Joe Jonas isn’t going to take this lying down!
The 19-year-old middle Jonas brother is speaking out against ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s accusations of him being a cheater and his 27-second break-up call. Here’s what he posted on his latest MySpace post:
“This blog is not an attack of anyone. Anytime you are in a relationship for any length of time there are going to be issues. Sometimes they resolve. Other times they lead to a change of heart. This was the case recently.
Several things I will state with all my heart… I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true. Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed. I am truly saddened that anything would potentially cause you to think less of me.
For those who have expressed concern over the “27 second” phone call. I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk. A phone call can be pretty short when someone else ends the call. The only difference in this conversation was that I shared something the other person did not want to hear.
There were later attempts at communication that had no response. I wish the best for the other person but could not sit back any longer and leave our fans with a wrong impression of the truth. Hope this helps enlighten a little.”
UPDATE: Curiously enough, Taylor’s original quote to OK! was “[Joe and actress Camilla Belle] have been together for months. That’s why we broke up.”
OK! has since REWRITTEN Taylor’s quote to say: “They’ve been together since we broke up. That’s why we broke up - because he met her.” Something’s fishy!!!!!!!!!

And if he’s going to say something, it shouldn’t be with “maybe” or “perhaps.” Have the balls to say it or keep your mouth shut.

i agree with joseph, and yes i am a bigger fan of theirs. but only because i have heard so much about how these boys are so classy, and down to earth, and i would never ever believe he would cheat. plus, camilla belle is like twenty two for crying out loud. i highly doubt even if he asked her she would say yes. Seriously, I am tired of all this Joe Jonas-Taylor Swift breakup crap. I hate burst anybody’s bubble, but these two are teenagers and teenage relationships come and go all the time so I hardly see a reason for all the drama involved with the end of this one. I think Taylor needs to shut her mouth, stop trying to make Joe look bad for dumping (which consequently teenage boys to teenage girls–and–vice versa do all the time) her, and move on already!! The reasons for their breakup are no one’s business but their’s and Taylor looks like a really spiteful *****.
