OlderJoe Jonas: I Did Not Cheat On Taylor Swift
Joe Jonas isn’t going to take this lying down!
The 19-year-old middle Jonas brother is speaking out against ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s accusations of him being a cheater and his 27-second break-up call. Here’s what he posted on his latest MySpace post:
“This blog is not an attack of anyone. Anytime you are in a relationship for any length of time there are going to be issues. Sometimes they resolve. Other times they lead to a change of heart. This was the case recently.
Several things I will state with all my heart… I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true. Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed. I am truly saddened that anything would potentially cause you to think less of me.
For those who have expressed concern over the “27 second” phone call. I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk. A phone call can be pretty short when someone else ends the call. The only difference in this conversation was that I shared something the other person did not want to hear.
There were later attempts at communication that had no response. I wish the best for the other person but could not sit back any longer and leave our fans with a wrong impression of the truth. Hope this helps enlighten a little.”
UPDATE: Curiously enough, Taylor’s original quote to OK! was “[Joe and actress Camilla Belle] have been together for months. That’s why we broke up.”
OK! has since REWRITTEN Taylor’s quote to say: “They’ve been together since we broke up. That’s why we broke up - because he met her.” Something’s fishy!!!!!!!!!

Look..my thing is this…No one on this website knows Joe or Taylor well enough to call them liars or start passing judgments. I understand that of course there are two sides to a story, but it seems like to me that someone is just a bit bitter. I mean what person wouldn’t want to date Joe Jonas…ha…don’t answer that.
But i’m just saying.. Taylor is a beautiful girl and Joe is a handsome guy…this is crazy for Taylor to have brought something personal like this to the public to try and paint Joe in a wrongful manner no matter. No matter how bad the relationship ended it was a private matter and that is how it should have been kept.
Most relationships don’t end on a good note…this is one of them. You two “broke-up” so let it go, Taylor, and move on to someone new. You’ve been talking about this for weeks now and your sappy mood obviously hasn’t brought him back in your life.
You say you’re over him? Well, shut the **** up and move on! please. And if you can’t do that then just write another song about it. It’ll probably make you millions. =)
Oh, and about Joe “dating” Camilla. Come on, people. Some girl could bend over and tie his shoe and the next morning it will be plastered all over the universe about how he’s “dating some mystery girl.”
Who cares about who he dates as long as he’s happy it shouldn’t bother anyone. No matter who it is. This irritates me. People get so infatuated with other peoples lives they forget about their own.
I know i didn’t have to respond to this article, but I felt it needed to be said. So, **** you if you get mad and ask me if I give a damn when you’re done. =)

Joe did say hes never cheated on a girl. I mean he broke up with her because he had a change of heart meaning he could have cheated on Taylor but broke up with her instead. Wouldn’t u rather be broken up with then cheated on??? Plus Joe was in i think it was Europe at the time he supposedly broke up with her?? So that explains the break up over the phone…

Lol, not to rag on the guy, but it seems a little to well written to be from Joe. I’m not saying that he didn’t write it, but I’m sure his management helped. However the excessive use of the phrase “other person”, makes me think maybe he did. Rather annoying, I mean we know who the “other person” is. Me thinks he needs to grow some balls.

I used to love joe, but i am still team taylor on this one. First of all taylor or joe don’t seem like people who just jump into a relationship it is alot of work for them to keep underwraps. They were both flying across the country to see each other, so they must of cared about each other. He did break up with her over the phone (even ichat would of been better). And if someone called me on the phone to break up with me i would hang up on them too, he prob didnt even try to call her back and talk, then he just moves onto someone new. She has every right to talk, this message is all damage control…i highly doubt he even wrote it, i’m sure disney is pissed as hell at him.

He had HIS broken by Zoe Meyers after a WHOLE YEAR of dating. She used him just to get fame and then dumped him. He had a couple of brief girls in his life after that. Now he is head over heels in love with Danielle Deleasa after what appears to be a LONGER relationship than we thought. They seem like they will even get married some day. The point of the matter is within 27 seconds he still managed to tell Taylor he wanted to split up. That’s a hell of a quick break-up. And why are you attacking Taylor for hanging up? If your boyfriend did the same to you I wouldn’t hang around on the line for his vomit-worthy excuses, such as “the heart moves on”. What a load of CRAP.

Taylor didn’t lie - she simply said the phonecall was 27 seconds long and that’s the time it took for him to dump her, which is still true as even Joe can’t deny that. Yet again - clearly the idiot in that situation.
I’d have respected Joe more if instead of sprouting complete and utter trollop trying to sound ‘mature’ and ‘deep’ he’d just come out and said “I split up with her because I’d found somebody else.” Or even “It’s no one’s business” rather than try and embarass Taylor in return.
