OlderJoe Jonas: I Did Not Cheat On Taylor Swift
Joe Jonas isn’t going to take this lying down!
The 19-year-old middle Jonas brother is speaking out against ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s accusations of him being a cheater and his 27-second break-up call. Here’s what he posted on his latest MySpace post:
“This blog is not an attack of anyone. Anytime you are in a relationship for any length of time there are going to be issues. Sometimes they resolve. Other times they lead to a change of heart. This was the case recently.
Several things I will state with all my heart… I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true. Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed. I am truly saddened that anything would potentially cause you to think less of me.
For those who have expressed concern over the “27 second” phone call. I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk. A phone call can be pretty short when someone else ends the call. The only difference in this conversation was that I shared something the other person did not want to hear.
There were later attempts at communication that had no response. I wish the best for the other person but could not sit back any longer and leave our fans with a wrong impression of the truth. Hope this helps enlighten a little.”
UPDATE: Curiously enough, Taylor’s original quote to OK! was “[Joe and actress Camilla Belle] have been together for months. That’s why we broke up.”
OK! has since REWRITTEN Taylor’s quote to say: “They’ve been together since we broke up. That’s why we broke up - because he met her.” Something’s fishy!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone really think that either of these ladies would have given him a second glance had his last name not been Jonas? He should be thanking the Gods above.
Oh thanks Joe. Of course there’s always 2 sides to a story and I hoped he would say something but didn’t think he really would. That was so wrong for people to automatically take her side,what does she have to say now? I don’t really care because obviously she wanted to lead everyone to believe he coldly broke up w/her in 27 seconds,leaving out the important fact that she ended hung up on him,and I believe him Now wish Nick would address the Miley/Selena stuff, I know that really is wishful thinking and I’m not sure that the Bravo magazine thing is legit or not,wish they had all taken a turn addressing rumors but thankful for this at least so he can defend himself a little,theybshould do that more often and stop being so secretive about everything.

i don’t think it matters what happened anymore… i just found it sad that Taylor had to be so immature and talk about it on national tv… you don’t see Joe going around talking crap about her, she should have gave him that same respect.

This is sad:( I love them both and their music!! I just hate to choose sides! Okay, first I don’t think it was right of Joe to break up with Taylor over the phone, I mean of course she’s going to hang up on you because no one wants to hear you breaking up with them over the phone! Plus he did move pretty quick in finding another girlfriend, that’s a little disrespectful, like the last relationship didn’t mean much. Also on the other hand I don’t think Taylor should have spoken out so much to so many different people about oh “27 sec.” phone call and he’s this and that, Okay I get it she’s hurting but if your not going to be public that much when your going out then why when you break up, that sounds like a Cyrus move to me, anyhow she was making his fans seem less of him which is wrong! I don’t know who’s side to choose overall. I still like them both though:)

I just don’t get why people are like, Joe is such a gentlemen and this confirmed it……He basically just admitted that he DID have feelings for the only girl and then CALLED to break up with Taylor……That’s still a jerk in my book. You don’t call someone to break up with them and then get pissed becasue they hung up. If someone broke up with me over the phone, I wouldn’t stay on the line either. Joe, quit trying to get away with this S.h.i.t. Cause us mature people can see what your doing. Taylor was apart of the relationship, so she can say whatever she wants. This is the second time a Jonas relationship went public and both times they look like an a.s.s. Think about it.

Neither of them deserve sympathy. This nothing more than a messy he said/she said break up. Only diff is the thousands of fans invovled. Taylor is hurt & making a fuss. Joe is covering his womanizing tracks. I find it funny because this is the one chick who they couldn’t force to keep her mouth shut.
