OlderJoe Jonas: I Did Not Cheat On Taylor Swift
Joe Jonas isn’t going to take this lying down!
The 19-year-old middle Jonas brother is speaking out against ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s accusations of him being a cheater and his 27-second break-up call. Here’s what he posted on his latest MySpace post:
“This blog is not an attack of anyone. Anytime you are in a relationship for any length of time there are going to be issues. Sometimes they resolve. Other times they lead to a change of heart. This was the case recently.
Several things I will state with all my heart… I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true. Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed. I am truly saddened that anything would potentially cause you to think less of me.
For those who have expressed concern over the “27 second” phone call. I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk. A phone call can be pretty short when someone else ends the call. The only difference in this conversation was that I shared something the other person did not want to hear.
There were later attempts at communication that had no response. I wish the best for the other person but could not sit back any longer and leave our fans with a wrong impression of the truth. Hope this helps enlighten a little.”
UPDATE: Curiously enough, Taylor’s original quote to OK! was “[Joe and actress Camilla Belle] have been together for months. That’s why we broke up.”
OK! has since REWRITTEN Taylor’s quote to say: “They’ve been together since we broke up. That’s why we broke up - because he met her.” Something’s fishy!!!!!!!!!

I think it’s so great that Joe has finally spoken up!! I totally believe him!!Taylor is so immature for trying to get back at him by telling everything about their break up. Ok you can talk about it in an interview or two to get it out of your system but not in every interview!! Anyway it seems like Taylor is only doing this to get more attention and sell more cds!! enough is enough Taylor!! Move on already! he obviously has and with somebody prettier (in my opinion)!!!

Okay, for all the people saying Taylor only talked about this because she wanted attention - what a JOKE. Since she came onto the scene, she has always been about being upfront and blunt. She has always talked about boys & relationships openly. Remember “Teardrops on My Guitar”? The Drew in the song was a real boy & she wasn’t afraid to call him out. And, now, with the whole Joe thing, she’s not afraid to call him out either.
And everyone who is saying Joe is so saintly and “amazing” for saying this. WHATEVER. He may not have physically cheated on Taylor with Camilla, but he still started to like Camilla while DATING ANOTHER GIRL. That’s still cheating, my friend. And yeah, Taylor probably feels pretty crappy about him moving on so fast. That’s pretty jerky. The only reason why they posted this was probably to maintain their “squeaky clean” image. You still screwed up Joe. You still hurt her. And by the way, referring to her as “someone” is IMMATURE. We all know who you’re talking about, pal.

Also, he basically admited to leaving her for another woman. It’s called an “emotinal affair” read up on it. “the heart moves on” “feelings change” Then he’s out on the beach with Camille Belle?
This letter is total damage control. When a celeb does something to ruin their image or lose fans PR makes amends by giving them a fancy speech to tell fans. Regardless as to whether or not Taylor hung up, it doesn’t change the fact that Joe had, in his heart and mind, been cheating on her for a few months.
Don’t get me wrong, if I had to chooose between Taylor and Camilla Belle, it’d be a pretty damn tough decision. But my heart would ultimately go for who had me first.
Joe proved to be the ultimate douchebag in this situation, in addition to being superhumanly talentless.

He probably had help with writing that blog, because unfortunatley, I know that Joseph does not have a huge vocabulary. And… I’m still Team Taylor, but I did gain a little more respsect for Joe. He still has to earn the rest of it though.
