This is just too weird!

I always try to keep and open mind and heart towards people with all kinds of different backgrounds but I’m sorry this is a pill I can’t swallow.

I actually find the concept of a man or at least someone who looks like one, having a child to be disgusting. Yes I said it, its disgusting, unnatural and I have no understanding of how that poor child will grow up with these two individuals. I’m not saying they won’t love the child as any parent would, I’m just saying how can you feel normal when your FATHER gave birth to you?????

Transgender people have rights and like everyone else, but there are certain things that should not get in the way of what is natural and it is completely unnatural for a man to give birth. I don’t care if this “individual” has female organs, she chooses to look, act and live as a man and there is where the problem lies in having children.

I have to respectfully disagree that with your assertion that genitalia have nothing to do with gender. I also have to disagree with calling Beattie a “man” if SHE has the reproductive capabilities of a female then I and most people have to conclude SHE is a female.

yes. there are osme people born with gender identity opposite to their bodies. but if he feels like he is a man, why does he want children? like actually have children himself?

Nearly every article I have read concerning this particular story attempts to make the statement usually in the headlines,that this is in fact a man who is pregnant. Usually the headline is entitled something like “Pregnant Man” or “Pregnant man is pregnant again” as in this case. After reading a number of articles on this story, if you didn’t pay attention, you would be left with the impression that this is a man, with a male reproductive system and pregnant. Of course it’s rather convenient to leave out the fact that a human male reproductive system can not be impregnated, a male reproductive system doesn’t have ovaries, or the capacity to produce ova or the capacity for gestation.

This story is really about a individual who was born a female with a female reproductive system, who later in life began to identify with the male gender and took on that persona. No matter to what extent a person wants to identify with a gender it doesn’t effect the sexual reproductive system they were born with, unless of course a women gets a hysterectomy and a fake ***** , even then the ***** doesn’t produce male sperm, its just cosmetic.

Why don’t they just change the headline and entitle it something like this ‘Lesbian who identifies with male gender is pregnant again?’ Can you imagine how confused the children of this women is going to be when they discover that Father is really Mother and Mother is really a lesbian who was just artificial inseminated?

Whilst many advances have been made in “genetics” recently and several “mutations” may be possible, the accepted sex determination system for Humans is the “XY Sex Determination System”. XX chromosomes = Female. XY chromosomes = Male. Assuming she hasn’t been abducted by aliens and had some radical genetic switcheroo of which we are unaware, this WOMAN is a WOMAN. Duh. And no amount of surgery, rubber penii, sledge hammers and conduit is going to change that at the most basic level.

It is irrevelent (exept to the perpetrator of this nonsense) how she feels about herself.

I’m not the kind of person to judge this “guy”. My uncle was born with both the female and male reproductive organs. Don’t ask me how, I don’t know. But, I think that no matter what gender he, or she, wishes to be identified as is completely up to him. He’s a person, a human being. He may not be what we call “normal” in today’s society, but that gives no person the right to discriminate, or judge, or verbally abuse this guy for the way he wants to live HIS life. Everyone is created equal, and thats how this country should act. Its what our constitution was based on. Agreed to some people on here, I’m not sure he should be having another baby so soon, but hey, its his choice, his life. Everyone who is so disgusted over this should just get over it, it’s not your life, he’s not even a part of your life, so why should you worry about it. Have a heart, seriously. I am proud of any person (gay, lesbian, straight, transgender, whatever) that puts themselves out there and sticks up for themselves, or one another, and lives there lives the way they see fit.

you people that are grossed out should really take a minute to think about it for real!
