Angelina Jolie recently gave Australia’s Herald Sun a heartwarming interview:
Has Brad seemed particularly taken with the twins? He’s just so happy and having twins is something neither of us ever expected and I think that makes it all the more special for us both. When I see how much love is in Brad’s eyes for the twins and for all our children — it’s a very moving experience for me. I never wanted to become pregnant and have children that way unless I had come to know Brad and see how loving he was with Maddox and Pax. So that was a big step for me.
How do you stay so positive? By doing the things which are important and meaningful to you and not worrying about the rest. How can I complain about anything when I wake up in the morning and I’m surrounded by so much love with Brad and our children and the feeling that comes from sharing my life with them?
What about teaching your kids about religion and culture? I want to teach them about all religions, and I’m trying to find a way to do that. And when it comes to the subject of adoption, like when my daughter, who’s African, wants her hair to look straight like mummy’s . . . and I look for a Barbie that’s African, and the African Barbie has straight hair! And you know, why has Disney never made a film with an African-American princess?

When I picked it up at Wal-mart to read yesterday i was like, “Why the hell is this rag so heavy?” And then I saw the Roy Orbison cd. Roy. Fcuking. Orbison. Roy. Orbison. Nobody listens to Roy Orbison but Elvis fans and people who keep their radio tuned to oldies stations. I like Roy Orbison…but the man has been DEAD for a good 10 years, so it’s not like it’s new music on the cd! LOL. Anybody who likes Roy Orbison prolly has a greatest hits CD and unless you’re an Orbison fanatic…that’s pretty much all you need. GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!! MERCY!
Anyway…my point is…bundling a Roy Orbison cd? That gives you an idea of who buys the Star - rednecks who stop at the Piggly Wiggly on the way back to the farm or stop at Wal-mart to get some Endust to dust off their velvet Elvis painting…
I was just watching a video of Troy premier at Cannes, when Brad was there with “the fraud”, (my new name for her), and the difference of that year to when he was there with Angie is startling. First of all, when they arrive on the RC and you are hearing the commentary, you hear Brad’s name continuously, but never hers. It was like she wasn’t even there. Contrast that to Brad with Angie, and the chaos that erupted when they were announed cannot be compared. And secondly, she looked ridiculous, just grinning like a fool. The woman was obviously out of her element. Was’t this the premier that it was said Brad didn’t stay for, and left early saying he wasn’t feeling well? You could tell he was just going through the motions.
By the way, I have always wondered what the he*l does X have on Courtney Cox, to make CCA continue this BFF c**p. None of the other actors who were on that show seem to maintain a friendship with her. I have seen picures of Lisa Kudrow having lunch wirh Courtney, but not her. I wonder what gives?
Here’s a little something that will put X’s Vogue cover, and why Wintour is pimping it by throwing Angie under a bus, into perspective…
According to WWD the first half NEWSSTAND circulation statistics for 2008 for Vogue are down 14.8% from the first half of 2007. Overall their circulation down 6%. If their second half continues like the first half that could put their newsstand sales down 29.6% for the year and overall circ down 12% for the year. That’s a HUGE decline - even in the current sh#tty economic climate…
Ironically…Vanity Fair is up 6% at the newsstand in the first half of 2007. Golly…didn’t Angie do a VF cover in the first half of this year… Overall VF is down 0.8% for the year. Now contrast that to Vogue, which is down 6%…and you can see why Wintour used Angie as a selling point for X’s cover. If people think X is really going to blast Angie, maybe they’ll buy the magazine. Then they’ll get home and read the story and be pissed because the story DOES NOT deliver what the cover advertises…
