Jennifer Hudson Spends Her Holidays with GAP

Jennifer Hudson gave Gap Inc. the okay to use a cheery image of her in their new holiday ad campaign, despite the terrible tragedy that recently shook her family.

A GAP representative spoke with E! and assured them that, though Jennifer continues to mourn, “She said she wanted to be a part of [the campaign] and that we should move forward.”

Photographer Michael Thompson took the talented 27-year-old singer/actress’s likeness for the ad, which includes the tagline “Shine Your Own Star,” in New York City this past July.

Other stars appearing in the campaign include Mary-Louise Parker, Mila Kunis, Milla Jovovich, Ashanti, Jason Bateman with his 21-month-old daughter Francesca, Jon Heder, Rainn Wilson, and Cam Gigandet, among others.

So many judgmental people. Has it ever occurred to you that as with most ads (commercials, print ads, etc.) & magazines they’re filmed/shot weeks or months in advance before going to print/air. That way the editor in charge can peruse the scenes for editing into the commercial that airs. Same goes with photographs since hundreds are shot, choose the “best” ones, plot where they’ll go in the magazine, pass it down the line to the chief editor for “thumbs up, thumbs down” approval. If it passes, it’ll go to print for the month its to appear. If not, it gets reedited until it’s right.

Besides, what can Jennifer do - What SHOULD she & her sister do to prove their grief - validate that they loved & miss THEIR lost loved ones…? They are grieving while surviving, LIVING for their loved ones. They don’t live to validate YOU.

Lastly, what the police are doing is on THEIR time-line & NOT yours. Crime exists & doesn’t discriminate - rich, poor, young, old, gay, straight, fat, thin - Whatever religion or color of skin (to many to name here), people are raped, murdered, assaulted, etc. EVERY DAMN DAY of the year. Who knows what happened… maybe it was a gang?
