Brad Pitt: New Benjamin Button Posters!
Check out these new promo posters featuring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett for their new reverse-aging love tale, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Thanks, JoBlo!
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button opens on Christmas Day and was directed by David Fincher (Zodiac, Seven and Fight Club).
In an early review, Variety says, “Button is imagery wizard David Fincher’s big-canvas play for mass acceptance, and he’s fashioned an effects-laden but character-driven epic that recalls the sweetly doomed, emotional glamour of Hollywood’s golden era.”
ARE YOU EXCITED for Benjamin Button???

IMO, the person we need to blame the most is Van Meter. He is the one who pitted the 2 women against each other, for the benefit of Vogue. Then, above all, he manipulated the answers to sensationalize the whole thing. I will never buy that magazine again in my life. I was so mad at VF in 2005, I didn’t buy the one with Angelina on the cover this year. VF and Vogue will never see a dime from me. I am sure they don’t miss it, but if they think they can afford to lose some readers, fine with me.
+++++++++++++++++++++++
Oldie -
I only PARTIALLY blame Van Meter. I think hee was given an assignment with very specific instructions to get X to talk about Angie if he could. I also put huge part of the blame I put on Anna Wintour. It’s her mag. She calls the shots a Vogue and is a regular b#tch on wheels. SHE is the one who made the “editorial” decision to throw Angie under the bus with that falacious cover quote. Plus, who knows what Van Meter’s original draft of the story looked like? He could have been told to rewrite it with a certain slant. That’s like the Newsweek article on Angie last summer where someone asked him why she didn’t talk about Z and he said she did, but the editor cut the quote from his story.
And I put the rest of the blame on X herself. She knew anything controversial she said or did would make it into the artilce. That’s why she asked him to turn off the recorder and then replied on the record. Plus…and this is the biggest issue I have - X MOST LIKELY HAD PRE-PRINT APPROVAL RIGHTS. You can bet your ass she got to approve the final draft of the story before it went to print. She got final approval on her VF hatchet job…and then tried to play innocent about it, too. She’s a calculating, manipulative fameho - there’s no way she’d do a “candid” interview without final approval.

Simon was very good asked good questions about the movie,I was very impressed by him.i wish more people would be like him,but we always get the ones who ask stupid questions.

HELL HATH NO FURY
Jennifer Aniston whined to Vogue that it was “a little inappropriate” and “really uncool” for Angelina Jolie to discuss “stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to work every day” while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Aniston’s then-husband (and now Jolie’s) Brad Pitt. Get over it, already.

ROTFL. Thank God…a journalist who FINALLY got the quote right! I’m sick of reading stories that claim X was talking about Angie’s NYT interview. I actually wrote a nasty post on some Chicago Tribune reporters blog last night telling him to quit being lazy and go read the article and see for himself that Aniston was NOT talking about the damned NYT quote. And then I wrote Okra an e-mail rimming her for the same thing and for bailing X out by proffering the suggestion that that’s what she was talking about. I also told Okra to quit having her friends on the show to buff their fake public persona - especially when the friend is lying through her teeth and Okra enables her! LOL. Frankly I still haven’t seen the damned Okra interview, but I’ve read enough of you guys’ accounts to know what went down. Plus…I can’t stand Okra’s fake ass. Anybody else wonder how long it takes her to remove her makeup at the end of the day? Maybe that’s just me…

Victorian values still rule tattle mania

FOR years now talk of a stoush between actors Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie has infected celebrity tidings like a lingering cough. Weak enough to ignore but occasionally responsible for some real bile.
Anyone lucky enough to remain unaware of this searingly important chapter in the history of celebrity should (or, in the interests of mental health, maybe should not) know that Aniston and Brad Pitt divorced in 2005 after 4½ years of marriage. Pitt and Jolie, it has been reported, fell for each other during filming for Mrs And Mrs Smith while Pitt was still married to Aniston.
Since then, the tattle rags’ coverage of these events has resembled something of a long-winded, narrative-deprived soap opera featuring Aniston as the rapidly ageing spinster: beautiful yet disturbed as she slips from one meaningless relationship to another tortured fling while ever-desperate for children. Pitt and Jolie, on the other hand, have been lapping up attention in the name of true love and happy parenting, never mind the partner-betrayal.
It has all been reminiscent of a bikini-filled variation of Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? versus an impossibly beautiful hybrid of The Brady Bunch and Bonnie And Clyde.
Now comes a real coughing fit, a ringing bark of distemper considered so acute every gossip mag has devoted cover space to it. Therefore it must be true.
Aniston, questioned about Jolie’s year-old description of falling for Pitt on-set, and therefore while still married, has used the words “That was really uncool” and “inappropriate”. Strong stuff. We await “I felt cross”.
Who reports noted man-eater Sienna Miller has “leaned” on Kylie Minogue’s former partner Olivier Martinez at a charity launch. Miller’s insidious lean is pictured, alongside the words, ‘Watch out, Olivier! Single Sienna hits the town once more”. OK! wades in with the headline, “Sienna Moves On … To Kylie’s Ex?”, proving once more that the moral boundaries of celebrity commentary remain mired in the Victorian age when it comes to young, female actors.
Similarly, the fly-blown, ever-flogged corpse of a saga that is Lindsay Lohan and her spending a lot of time with a woman and not a man (gasp) habit, has reached a watershed moment in gossip disclosure. Lohan is quoted in Who responding to the question, “Are you bisexual?” Ending a seemingly endless year of tattle-rag ponderings, she says, “Maybe. Yeah.” But then, just when it seemed her personal life might be allowed to breathe unfettered by paparazzi and reporters, she is asked, “Are you a lesbian?”, to which she responds “No.” And so, Lohan’s brevity and honesty gives new life to another episode of scuttlebutt.
damn!!. i don’t live in the london region so i hope the interview itv local london will play/show 2night at 6pm will be shown on national GMTV 2morrow morning!!
Why must people who do not know anything but what they read and gossips about Angie and Brad feel the need to critcize them and be so down right nasty! I mean the comments they say makes me feel bad, imagine if Angie is the ones reading them or her children someday.
People should really learn to be less hatred and spiteful towards others. I mean most of these haters have probably done worse things in their lives. Heck most of them would not say no to Brad Pitt if he even approached them. Then I must assume that the hatred is coming from sheer jealousy!
Angie is NOT a self proclaimed saint or good girl. NEVER did she pretend who she really is.
But like most people, 20s are the rocky years where you experiment and hopefully discover who you are. Angie has come to her own in her late 20s…she became a woman, a mother and a loving wife.
I think the difference with her and Jennifer is that she lets Brad be who he is…mostly she lets him be a “man.” That can only happen when you are truly satisfied with who you are as a person.
If you look at the pictures or videos of Brad and Angie, Brad leads the way…Angie sort of lets him guide her. Who would of thought that Angie would let anyone guide her. Well when you find that one great love…we metamorphasize without even knowing it.
Look at how mature she has become, wanting to have more children, staying home to guide their growth, being there when her husband comes home.
These are real traditional values and this is the way to keep a strong family unit!
Bottom line is that Angie is in love with Brad just as Brad is in love with Angie. They have different ways in showing it. Angie likes to talk and express it, she glows from all the love she has in her life. Brad shows it by his demeanor, the way he looks at Angie, holds her, little touches here and there. I think he is amazed by the babies they created from the love they share.
I think that people should just let them be. Angie can talk about her man and her children as much as she wishes. They are what matters to her most! Brad can touch Angie and give her as many babies as they want because he is in love. And what better way to show love and express love for each other than looking at the beautiful children you create together.
Jennifer, is a different story…I will stick to my belief that I will not say anything nasty to hurt anyone’s feelings so I will remain quiet on that situation :)

‘Yet the Fanistons read these same quotes, and like I just said, can’t connect the dots to save their damned lives.”
PT,
You’re giving “Fanistons” way too much credit…it’s not that they can’t connect the dots…they don’t want to.
What’s noteworthy is it’s not like working women everywhere including well known celebrities can’t do both i.e. have a career and family concurrently…it is done all the time…Catherine Zeta Jones comes to mind…which begs the question…why was it in her mind an “either or” situation?
+++++++++++++++++++
LOL, FALP. Actually I think YOU’RE the one giving them too much credit. I don’t think they CAN connect the dots - whether they wanted to or not. It’s like trying to get a bulldog to swim. A co-worker has a bulldog. Her kids were at their grandmother’s one afternoon and their Beagle jumped in the water and was doggie-paddling up a storm. So her 24 year-old son looks at the bulldog who’s standing by the edge of the pool panting and barking. He assumed the bulldog wanted to swim, too, but was too chicken to jump in. So he picked up the bulldog and dropped him in the pool. The bulldog sank like a stone - straight to the bottom of the pool…little air bubbles were coming to the surface from his nostrils and the dog just sat down there drowning. As my co-worker is saying her son dropped the bulldog in the pool I was sitting here thinking, “BUlldogs can’t swim!” Oops…so her son found out. Some breeds of bulldogs can paddle a little bit, but mostly just can’t stay afloat because their legs don’t move laterally. So the son had to jump in and save the bulldog. They get the dog out of the water and dog is looking at the kid like, “YOU DUMB FCUKER! I CAN’T SWIM!” They actually have this on video tape because their grandmother was a video junkie…filmed everything. The look on the bulldog’s face when he got back on the pool deck was priceless. A definite Mastercard moment. My co-worker said when she found out about this later that night she popped her son upside the head and said, “You idiot! Why do you think we have the kiddie pool in the backyard! We don’t have any little kids! It’s so the bulldog can play in the water and not drown himself!” Needless to say her son is NOT all that bright…but I was ROTFLMAO. Now everytime I see her son all I can picture in my mind is the poor bulldog at the bottom of the pool with air bubbles floating to the surface…
Anyhoo…that’s Fanistons…you can throw them in the pool, but the dumb fcukers couldn’t swim even if they wanted to.
Also - Re: why was it either/or for X? It wasn’t - it was “or” for X. She never intended to have a baby. She was just dangling that carrot to keep Brad hanging in there. She knew his family’s view on marriage - you’re in it for the long haul. His parents would have been encouraging him to stick with it and make it work - that the kids would come if he were patient. And I’m sure X played on that. She’s just a conniving b#tch is all. She probably hoped he’d get over wanting kids like you get over the flu.
Lovely. Thank you Jared.

Oh sorry I forget, Kramer Vs Kramer was one of my all tiime favorite ! , my bad.
Hey, PT, how many actresses who came out at almost the same time with Streep was still in the limelight or was still working ? Was Farrah Fawsett of Charlie’s Angel fame around the same age with Meryl ? she’s someone like X, famous TV star failing in the big screen, more famous on her love life and hair than her talent.
+++++++++++++++++++++
You put Farrah Fawcett in the same thought as Meryl Streep? Geez…I’m gonna put that down to a late-night brain ****. That’s just all kinds of wrong…
As for Meryl’s peers? No, not many of them are still working at her level. FF is actually a few years older than Streep. Meryl’s contemporaries would be Sigourney Weaver (they went to college together), Jessica Lange, Susan Sarandon…and just toward the mid-80s - though she’s about 5 years younger, Debra Winger.

Brad Pitt? You have to be kidding!
There should be a picture of Veterans Day tributes.
I don’t recall that Brad Pitt served in any branch of the service.
With all the troops who have been killed or injured, plus those lucky to survive combat, don’t you think they deserve better attention?

Any other day of Brad Pitt on the front page wouldn’t have bothered me, but this was the day after Veterans Day.
It’s no wonder why people, especially young ones, don’t even know that it’s a holiday to honor our brave men and women who wore the uniform.
In the future let’s show our great veterans the respect they deserve and give them top billing.

The early reviews for Button haven’t been good. Hopefully this will change once the movie opens. I’m looking forward to seeing this atleast once but I’ve been reading about people leaving disappointed after a screening.

Wintour is desperate then. But what I don’t understand is why the need to put that quote on the cover? Fanistons will buy the issue without the quote there anyway.
I just hope that Brad and Angelina never have to do a cover for them again. They can have Maniston every year. How exciting, and fine with me. I just hope they don’t drag Brad and Angelina in her articles again.
++++++++++++++++++
They put the quote on the cover because they need more than Fanistons to buy the issue. They need the MVM who’ve gotten over the break up of the Golden Couple and warmed up to the Jolie-Pitt FAMILY to get outraged again, side with X and buy the issue expecting to see X ream Angie a new one. Without appealing to a broader audience, the mag stays on the shelves and Wintour needs to move product PDQ.
fingers crossed @ 11/17/2008 at 10:33 am

John Mayer needs to marry Jennifer Aniston
Monday, 17 November 2008
Jennifer Aniston fans are wondering when John Mayer will pop the question to Jennifer Aniston as he seems so in love with her at the moment.
The musician would make a lovely husband for Jen as he seems to appreciate every little thing she does for him.
He could make this Christmas the best ever if he got down on one knee.
John would just have to make sure that his proposal beat Brad Pitt’s.
He recently told People magazine: “That girl knows me … so whether I go to bed alone or not, to have somebody who knows you in this world, that’s a really nice thing.
“It’s really nice to have somebody in life have your back.”
If John did propose then Jen fans think the Friends actress would start thinking about a baby straight away as she is forty in February.
A baby and a hubby would be the perfect birthday present!
