The Curious Case of Benjamin Button opens on Christmas Day and was directed by David Fincher (Zodiac, Seven and Fight Club).
In an early review, Variety says, “Button is imagery wizard David Fincher’s big-canvas play for mass acceptance, and he’s fashioned an effects-laden but character-driven epic that recalls the sweetly doomed, emotional glamour of Hollywood’s golden era.”

PT, I hear what you are saying, but I think the time has long past for him to respond. He SHOULD have done it in 2005, after the infamous VF interview, and that is why a lot of Angie’s fans are still quite angry with him. However, when i read his last interview, where he said he was trying to do what was best for every one, I kind of understood where he was coming from. Unfortunately for him, his ex is a b**ch of the highest order. What he needs to do, if possible, is to make sure she is black-listed in HW, where she wouldn’t even be able to do a reality show. That would bring me immense satisfaction.

BEFORE X flapped her gums to Vogue and the media deliberately misquoted her I was in complete agreement with you. Now I waffle because it’s plain as day that X is NEVER going to not use this for PR and to pimp her silly little romcoms, interviews or tv shows. Brad just needs to fix her wagon. He can do it in private…I’d just get more enjoyment out of him doing it publicly BBBBWWWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! If he called her up in private and read her the riot act and threated to fix her wagon…then time will tell. She’s still got nearly of month of pimping the dog flick, so we’ll see how she plays this out for the next month. She already did a bit of backtracking with Okra, but frankly I don’t think the media intends to drop it. There mags sell with Angie as the bad guy and that’s what they’ll continue to push. At least if Brad himself gives an interview ALL the media will cover that. Not many men sell tabs, but if they slap Brad on the cover with him spilling the beans on why he dumped X? Especially if it’s a headline like, “BRAD CALLS JEN A LIAR!” or “BRAD DEVASTED BY JEN’S LIES!” or “BRAD TELLS WHY HE DUMPED JEN!” That shite would fly off the shelves. Hell, I’d buy a copy my damned self and I never waste my hard-earned money on crap I can read in the stores!

I dont agree !!! Remember those pics of Brad , sometime in early 2006, in Paris? , those pics of him wearing a “hat” and that “scarf”, and “not shaved”? With those pics, everyone said he looked much older. However, later in the year, when he appeared in Cannes, all dressed up and shaved, Brad looked a lot younger.
While he was married, have you seen pics of him long hair, and beard? He looked old too.
So, for Brad, I have to say he has good genes. He can choose how he wants to dress and it’ll affect his look. He does NOT have receding hairline like Jude Law.
With all sincere and due respect to Angie THE money shot at the ‘Oscars’ will be the one of Angie’s luscious lips planting a big one on her beau when Brad’s name is called up to collect his statuette.

so, i just posted this on angie’s thread, but want to share my ramblings here too- but first- what a beautiful picture of brad- so deep, almost sad and tender…
so jen is clearly not someone who has released her pain over loosing brad, and especially loosing brad to angie,-
and one can feel all that oozing resentment and hurt in her interviews and comments for years now, non? its hard to see, i know, such desperation-
so much easier to sense into the organic and easy energy of angie. full, kind, gorgeous, sexy, empowered and sooo irresistable!
at least as their images speak to us.
yet both potentialities exist for all of us, and perhaps this is what makes our fascination with the rivalry so sticky…we may love angie, and be totally creeped out by jen, but it is, among other reasons, because we are terrified to ever be like jen, feel such desperation over anything, be so abandoned and rejected. Of course it is easier to identify with this stunning inside and out angie, the woman no sane man, woman or child could resist- but i am currious, what piece of our and her own humanity are we denying here in promoting this dicotomy?
we must admit there is some pretty powerful negative pleasure in bashing jen and loving angie- at least for me, and where there is such pleasure- there is always something hidden, i am just currious what it is for me and for us, as a culture.
these two women, who though loved and hated, are complete strangers to all of us and who play out the lights and shadows of our cultural and personal psyche- they are just people out there who are probably pretty effected by the intensity of all the thougths and feeling about them whether they know it or not, since everything is interconnected energetically; but it is really only a reflection of us, if something about them triggers us in a positive or negative way.
so, it is pretty clear we are all in transference with these women, even if it be positive tansference- we are not in reality here- there is much to explore under the surface of the impulse to love or hate a celebrity, but especially these two- charged as they are with such powerful archetypal energies.

This posters for CCBB are very well done…“film noir’ish style” with stark reality, unattractive in an attractive way.
I agree with “Decency” these posters do exactly what they were intended to. It’s artfully done eliciting a vivid appeal to the curious using light to glaringly intensify the faces IMO signifying the serious intent of the movie. The subject matter of the movie is not for everyone, it’s not fluff people. Moreover not many people could look this good, nor would many insecure celebrities voluntarily dare to allow themselves to experiment and expose him/herself in a portrait using such blatant harsh lighting. Both BP and CB do this art form right.
For those who criticize the photos of BJ and CB…dig a little deeper, simpletons…the posters are promoting a movie…both movie promo poster and movie are an art form and the promo poster is “marketing”…both are “pretend” for you toddler mentalities out there. If you don’t “get it”, stick to romantic rom-coms and cartoons which are more your intellectual level and interest.
Even though few readers care if another poster thinks BP or CB are “unattractive,” “old looking”…whatever, these critics of a “movie promo poster” perhaps should try to reveal less of their ignorance while they exercise their right to free speech.

BTW - I re-read Angie’s Vogue interview last night with an eye toward reading it as if I were X. Normally a nauseating assignment, but rather humorous this time. By the time I finished the article I was ROTFLMAO! OMFG…of all the things for X to have been pissed off about, those TWO paragraphs where Angie talks about how they interacted on the M&MS set were the LEAST revealing thing she said in the entire interview!
If I’m X and I’m reading…
- Angie’s description of how when she met Brad she THOUGHT his marriage was happy and that it was clear that X was his “best friend”? (THAT would piss me off.)
- Or how about when Angie talked about how romantic Brad is - how they fly their planes to the Barstow-Daggett airport, get on their motorcycles, take a 3 hour ride in the desert, spend the night, ride back to Daggett and fly home to their kids? Or how they love to take road trips, just the two of them, and stay at a dinky little motel and eat Taco Bell? (Shite that X WOULD NOT do with Brad and should have irked her that another woman would refer to doing these things AND ENJOYING THEM!)
- Or how they let MADDOX determine a large part of whether they’d be a family? (My husband left me for a woman with a kid and didn’t even know if kid was going to accept him? Or if the woman would want to put up with the baggage that being Brad Pitt’s woman brings? THAT would piss me off…)
- Or how Angie and Brad adopted Z TOGETHER? (And weren’t even sure they relationship was going to work out? THAT would piss me off…)
- And how everyone on the shoot got excited when Brad flew down to see Angie? (Once again…I couldn’t work up any enthusiasm to go to Malta, Mexico, Morocco, etc., to see my HUSBAND on set…yet perfect strangers are thrilled to be in his presence? THAT would make me question why I had my head up my ass for 6 1/2 years…but I’m sure it was water off X’s duckbill lips.)
- And how Angie, the woman who doesn’t like to be hugged, all but climbed inside Brad’s shirt when he got out of the plane AND wrapped BOTH arms around his waist? Or that Brad promptly grabbed Angie in a big hug, lifted her in the air and grabbed her ass? (Knowing that Angie had just stated she hates hugging…and then promptly gloms on to Brad like a limpet? Fcuk yeah, I’d be MAD at this point! But X? No…she’s still suck on “couldn’t wait to get to work…”)

what X refused to acknowledge was that IF BRAD HAD BEEN HAPPY WITH X…THEN IT WOULDN’T HAVE MATTERED ONE IOTA HOW GLAD ANGIE WAS TO GET TO WORK. BRAD WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN HAPPY TO BE THERE WITH HER. But…I’m sure X didn’t see it like that. She saw it as, “That hussy! She was happy to see him! That’s why he dumped me!” No, X. He dumped you because YOU put your career before your relationship (as is your right, but you pay the consequences of being unwilling to compromise), weren’t happy to see him, be with him wherever he was in the world - whether for work or pleasure, grow and change with him, give him children, share common goals or be flexible, etc. All things that Brad did during their 6 1/2 years to ACCOMMODATE HER. X has never heard of the reach-around, has she? No reciprocation whatsoever.
After re-reading Angie’s Vogue article I decided that X was an even bigger moron than I’d previously thought. And we all know how little I thought of her in the first place…
What Jen said to answer the interviewer is really not that bad. The media has blown it up to more then what it is. She only said WHAT Anige said was uncool, not that Anige was uncool. If this was any other celeb it would not be this much press on it. Only because this involves Angie and Jen. The media like a cat fight. I am sure Angie and Brad don’t care at all about what was said. It is really not that important.
