Jennifer Aniston Snags Gerard Butler For ‘Goree Girls’
Romance rumors began to swirl this summer when Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler started meeting.
Turns out Jen was interested in… Gerard’s acting!
Life & Style has learned that Jen, 39, has nabbed the 300 star, 39, for a role in The Goree Girls, a woman’s prison saga she’s set to produce and star in next year.
“The thing that really blew her away was P.S. I Love You,” says a Jen insider. “Gerard’s performance made her laugh and cry.”
Should Jen’s on-again boyfriend, John Mayer, be worried about the Scottish stud?
“She’ll get a kick out of having romantic scenes with Gerard,” the insider says. “But she wants to go home at the end of the day with someone like John.”

Well, there’s Law Abiding Citizen in Philly next month….then I think he has some voice over work with Zack Snyder and a kid’s dragon film - after that I have not heard a thing. Gosh I hope he’s not desperate.
I disappointed that Jen feels she has to stir up trouble with her ex just so she could get notice. You don’t get attention that way, you make a good movie then let that stand on it’s own. Jen has turned into a sad person these days.
All this running around town for a publicity stunt is humiliating.

There is no doubt in my mind that I will see this movie and unlike others who have condemed the movie before it even starts, I will support the movie because Jen is a wonderful person and Gerry is a consumate actor and he can pull this off pretty well!!! The man is the sexiest man on two feet for me!!! I know there are a hell of a lot of awesomely gorgeous men out there, but Gerry is ALL for me. He is a real stunner!!!

Please don’t let this be true. Jen is box office and TV death. I have seen two of her movies and she sucked in both. She only plays Rachel, or is she really just Rachel!?! Much! Definitely a one trick pony. When this one bombs whose career will be her next target? I hate to see those who are making their way in Hollywood get hit with such bad luck as being in a movie with Loser Maniston. Good luck Owen Wilson. Run for your very life, I mean career, Gerry. It isn’t worth it to be associated with the next Maniston flop. As for Maniston, I wonder how long her flops will be bankrolled? At the rate she is going, maybe we only have to wait another year or two for the money men to pull the plug. Let’s hope!

No of course not, Huvaniston plant (you think we can’t tell who youa re?) I mean, its not like manipulative Jen burst into tears on cue in the 2005 Vanity Fair interview, is it? its not the the very SECOND the reporter entered the room, she cried for sympathy and her little pity party. Its not like she isn’t a nasty person, who back-stabs her ex-husband in the same interview, later calling Angelina “uncool” yet praising her (apparent) cheating ex-husband for his achievements (which have ALL been the result of and thanks to ANGELINA, might I add!).
Its not like she gets her friends to bad-mouth John mayer to the press because he told the TRUTH about their breakup.
Last, but certainly not least, its not like the ungrateful and cruel ice queen called her own mother a DISEASE.
Aniston is the epitome of evil, cruelty, dramatic publicity stunts, crying in interviews on cue for maxim affect, and manipulation and self-serving take no prisoners sacrifice anyone and who cares how much blood she has on her hands.

MBtree, agreed about the hair. I know someone who said to me recently that at 22, Aniston still has the EXACT SAME hairstyle as when they were a young child. Its a straggly rats nest that never looks brushed, it hangs in her face and certainly doesn’t flatter her facial structure at all. Have a bob cut, razor cut your hair, do a pink mohawk. Man, everyone has made very interesting comments, its amazing to me that you all feel you can stand in judgment of everyone in the public eye. It makes me wonder exactly what your lives would be reviewed as, if you were in the public eye. I mean these posts have everything from bashing of Jennifer to chubby cheeks on Gerard to Angelina and Brad and even poor John. Why can’t you just let the relationships of stars be their relationships, because they certainly have nothing to do with anyone else but themselves, it is their lives, let them solve their issues on their own, because in order to be in the public eye, they had to have learned how to handle their lives on their own by now.I mean come on. Jennifer has said that her and John are back together, (so she’s not with anyone else and neither is he) Angelina and Brad are very much with each other (she’s even talking about maybe not acting anymore just so she can give more time to her children, which I think is admirable, not many people think children over money these days)and as for Gerard, he is still out there doing what he likes when he likes to do it and personally not caring what people’s opinions of him is (nor is there anything written anywhere that says he has to care) so comment if you need to, but keep in mind what you would like people to say about you if you were out there in the public eye, and show these stars the same kind of courtesy.

Gorre Girls is a film Jen has had since 2004 and has not been able to get off the ground. Meryl Streep did sign on back in 2005 but droppped out b/c the project did not come to fruition. She moved on to make other films.
It was under a different title. Its one of the movies she got from the divorce deal.
She has not been able to find any backers for the film and shes not willing to put her own money into it. It has no director assigned even after all this time.
This movie may take up to ten years to make and may end up with a totally different cast
