OlderJennifer Aniston Covers NY Times Magazine
Jennifer Aniston opens up about her TV and movie career in this weekend’s New York Times Magazine. Here are some highlights via Us Weekly:
On her new movie’s title: “I wish it was She’s Just Not That Into. Unfortunately, it’s He’s Just Not That Into You. The other would be more empowering.”
On finding success after Friends ended in 2004: “I thought I’d never get movies.”
On landing her role of spoiled Rachel Green: “[It was] the first time I felt like part of the cool kids.”
On watching Friends re-runs on TV: “There are times I don’t even remember that particular show. This is horrible to say, but there are times when I laugh my rear end off. And I get in debates with people who are over and say, Friends is not my thing.’ Excuse you!”
On if Friends would be a hit today: “Hard to tell — that was a different time. Now TV has too much to do with celebrity. We have reality television, where people try to become celebrities….”
Aniston’s next comedy, Marley & Me, costarring Owen Wilson opens on Christmas Day.

She looks like she’s trying to look hot and not succeeding too well.
She’s definitely copying one of Angelina’s poses but she can’t pull it off.
When I look at that photo I’m reminded of what some movie critic said about her performance in Derailed, in the scene where she is trying to seduce a guy on the train: Angelina could have nailed that scene in 1.5 seconds flat just by raising an eyebrow; Aniston just managed to look constipated.
Anyway, I’m glad I’m a NY Times subscriber because I plan to laugh my ass off reading this article. Trust me, Aniston is going to come out of this one looking like a total idiot.

That’s nice, because she’s going to need all the love she can get. She’s going on 40, she’s too old to play Rachel Green any more, she doesn’t have enough talent to play anything else, and once she gets re-dumped by the Urinator, no other guy will touch her with a ten-foot pole. So all you scorned, dumped losers rally around your fugly idol and worship at her altar. She’s going to need you. I will say with absolute certainty that within three years, if not much sooner, she is going to lapse into a terminal depression.

Seriously, yes I agree Angelina is beautiful in a way most women could never achieve .
However, I think Jen is incredibly hot (what woman her age has her body), has an incredible a– and is simply a really cute, adorable and funny package. I’m a hot chick and I’d much rather hang out with Jen than Angelina. She seems more fun and down to earth.
And she is on point about “reality TV shows.” I genuinely miss character driven-sitcoms - the days of Seinfeld, Friends - were great. Now we have the “The Hills” (totally fake, talentedless actress), “DWTS” etc. These folks are not worthy of a SAG card or the celebrity status they receive.
I love Courtney Cox, Jason Alexander, Jen Aniston, Jerry Seinfeld - they were ACTING. Just like fun shows like 90210 (the real one) and Melrose Place.
This reality TV stuff is BS and bad for L.A.’s entertainment economy.
That being said - check your accomplishments, success, home, independence and looks before you hate on an actress who struggled to get where she is today. She doesn’t need Brad or John Mayer. She can take care of herself. And that ladies is EMPOWERMENT.
And btw, I don’t normally post and read comments on this blog so I really don’t care about your responses to what I have to say. I stand by it.
You can hate on Aniston - and I don’t even know the actress - but take a long look at your life and your body (in a bikini) before you decide to say nasty things about someone you don’t even know. Particularly someone who has achieved what most people won’t in their lifetime.

I completely agree with you. I really don’t understand why all these people hate on Jen so much. She holds herself with dignity, is not a publicity ***** and has survived - with class and privacy - most of the heartache and relationship drama a lot of women experience.
I don’t care about celebrities and live amongst them in Bel Air but as a woman felt the need to speak out for her. I like this blog for fashion/brand identification for purses, jeans, shirts etc.. But the vitriol people express against Jen is really uncalled for. She does charity work - on the down low - and isnot a psycho or snob. And she looks better than 90% of women her age and younger.
I’m not on any team despite being married. But it’s really sick the way people are hating on her. It’s like a campaign. Get a life.
Even Cloris Leachman’s lips look better than Anniston’s. If she was trying to imitate Angie this is par for JA as she is OCD.
