Jennifer Aniston opens up about her TV and movie career in this weekend’s New York Times Magazine. Here are some highlights via Us Weekly:
On her new movie’s title: “I wish it was She’s Just Not That Into. Unfortunately, it’s He’s Just Not That Into You. The other would be more empowering.”
On finding success after Friends ended in 2004: “I thought I’d never get movies.”
On landing her role of spoiled Rachel Green: “[It was] the first time I felt like part of the cool kids.”
On watching Friends re-runs on TV: “There are times I don’t even remember that particular show. This is horrible to say, but there are times when I laugh my rear end off. And I get in debates with people who are over and say, Friends is not my thing.’ Excuse you!”
On if Friends would be a hit today: “Hard to tell — that was a different time. Now TV has too much to do with celebrity. We have reality television, where people try to become celebrities….”
Aniston’s next comedy, Marley & Me, costarring Owen Wilson opens on Christmas Day.

Oh, did you see Brad Pitt on Oprah today? Check it out. The way he talks about Angie and their children, it’s like Aniston never existed.

Why is plain Jane suddenly trying to look all smouldering, fiery and tempestuous? :? It really doesn’t work for her. It does work, however - and to great effect - for the woman who ran off with her husband. It just makes Jennifer look self-loathing and desperate, trying to be something she’s not - the ’sexually voracious vixen’. But her looks are to bland to pull it off. She should stick to what she does best - the cute, chirpy girl next door. That is, afterall, the quality which propelled her to success in the first place.

Didn’t see it. I was at the VA hosp volunteering Why should Jen be part of the show? Isn’t brad with Angie with his 6 beautiful children, she shouldn’t come up. Jill you started to get nice awhile ago and you lost it again. You are all so cruel to Jen and till this day I’ll never know why?

I think I heard Jen laughing all the way to Pennsylvania today when she saw Brad on Oprah today..he looked like a deer caught in the headlights.. like he was on the hotseat ,so uncomfortable.. I actually felt bad for him..looked terrible.face puffy crooked part in his hair, pornostache..look for his next movie..not good..but he did sound happy talking about his children .. something seems off to me..where was that great Brad sense of humor..I think his private life being out in the public too much is wearing him out ..just my opinion
