OlderRihanna To Light Up UNICEF’s 2008 Snowflake
Rihanna keeps bundled up as she arrives at JFK airport in New York City after a flight from Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Later today (November 19), the 20-year-old Bajan beauty and Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini will light the UNICEF Snowflake at New York City’s Grand Army Plaza. Rihanna is also the global representative of the 2008 Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF, which also launches worldwide today.
At 23 feet in diameter, over 28 feet in height and weighing 3,300 pounds, the UNICEF Snowflake is the largest outdoor chandelier of its kind. It’s adorned with 16,000 Baccarat crystal prisms and is a reminder of UNICEF’s commitment to do whatever it takes to save a child.
Ne-Yo will perform live during the ceremony before watching Rihanna and Frida flip the switch to illuminate the magnificent Snowflake, signifying the beginning of the gift-giving season.

shame that looks overide talent these days. & trust tha Ri doesn’t have much talent…she should just go back to being the island girl again.
& why rihanna anyway? I think that there are better celebs who embody what it means to use their status to help the unfortunate. I don’t remember hearing/seeing any of Ri’s work.
