OlderBeyonce is Seventeen’s Style Star of the Year
Beyonce dazzles in an exquisite burgundy silk dress Jean Paul Gaultier dress with a quilted bodice at the unveiling of Seventeen Magazine’s 2008 Style Star of the Year at New York City’s Hearst Tower on Wednesday.
The Sasha Fierce singer, who finished off her look with nude Stuart Weitzman gladiators, opened up to the mag about why she felt now was the right time to marry Jay-Z: “I was 18 when we first met, 19 when we first started dating. There was no rush – no one expected me to run off and get married. I really don’t believe that you will love the same thing when you’re 20 as you do at 30. So that was my rule: Before the age of 25, I would never get married. I feel like you have to get to know yourself, know what you want, spend some time by yourself, and be proud of who you are before you can share that with someone else.”

i really commend her for encouraging girls to wait to get married….people forget that marriage is forever and when your 19 ,20 yrs old you have no idea who you are or what you want…so why make such a huge commitment?
i agree, she doesn’t really deserve style star of the year but i do like some of her clothes. this dress is nice. the color is ok but the design is cool … i think kira plastinina designed it. anyway congrats b!
i think they mean it more someone who can inspire teenage girls these days. Which she is the perfect role model for. Beautiful in her normal healthy body, smart and succesful.
