Rihanna: My New Wrist Tattoo is Tribal!
Rihanna shows off the new tattoo on her right wrist at a party sponsored by Gucci called the Tattoo Heart Collection to Benefit UNICEF at NYC’s Plaza Hotel on Wednesday. (Boyfriend Chris Brown has a matching one, as well as matching clusters of stars on their necks.)
The 20-year-old Bajan beauty said she got the Maori-inspired geometric design in New Zealand and explained, “It’s tribal. It represents strength and love. It’s their traditional way of tattooing. I always wanted [one]… [But] it hurt like hell!”

I don’t know where to start on the hair. I think she looked better either with long hair or a bob. The dresses don’t suit her and when I saw the tattoo, I wasn’t really concentrating on that. Instead, I noticed the Cartier love bracelet on her hand. I never really noticed it until now but if I see one on Chris Brown too, I can’t help but say: ‘Aww!’

it takes a lot to get one of those tattoos. im from nz and its cool to see she wanted to take a piece of us home. riri doesnt get simple, plain tattoos she gets interesting ones with meaning. we all know she can pull them off!!
Although both tattoos and Rihanna are awesome, she just has too many now. This makes for her 11th tattoo.

Th doesn’t look like a real tattoo. It looks like henna.
She doesn’t have the mana to wear that moko. Another stupid celebrity coming here (Aotearoa/New Zealand) and stealing taonga. You have to understand a culture before you take on its symbolism. She was here for 3 days!
