The Day The Earth Stood Still For Jennifer Connelly
Jennifer Connelly is polka dot pretty in a Miu Miu top at a photocall for their new sci-fi flick,The Day the Earth Stood Still, on Friday in Paris. She finished off her look with a Balenciaga skirt and Lanvin platforms.
Costar Keanu Reeves worked the red carpet in Costume National.
DTESS is a remake of the 1951 film of the same name and directed by Scott Derrickson. Jennifer, 37, plays Helen Benson, a microbiologist at Princeton University who is recruited by the government to study an alien messenger in human form (Klaatu, played by Keanu, 44).

GODDESS! She’s my fave actress! She deserves mo’ Oscars! So talented and gorgeous. Everyone should watch House of Sand and Fog and Dark Water just for her acting.

I’m so excited about this remake! My all time favorite movie is The Day The Earth Stood Still, starring Michael Renne’…..Patricia Neil. This will be a welcomed refreshing version , and i am so looking forward to purchasing the DVD
I luv the original. I hope they don’t mess it up. Kind of scared even though I luv Keanu and also think he is underrated as an actor.

What a great cast there is, in addition to Keanu and Jennifer Connelly. I think any critic who unflinchingly bashes Keanu has never bothered to look beyond the Bill&Ted movies, and most of them are people who failed anyway, either as actors or filmmakers.

I’m looking forward to this movie but I’m thinking they will mess this one up the way they messed up “War of the Worlds.” Of course, that one was a mess because of Tommy Girl!! I love Keanu and Jennifer so maybe this one will be okay.
I LOVE the original version also, and hope they don’t stray to far from the storyline…Jennifer needs an eyebrow pluck, as they seem to dark and heavy…She has pretty eyes, but they are lost under the bush…

I find it strange how no-one has mentioned her frame- she is so sickly skinny, it looks like she is bordering on anorexic?
I think she is a stunning woman, but has she dropped lots of weight recently, or have I never noticed how truly skinny she really is??

As much as the original movie was fun it is incredibly dated. I hope the remake can retain the interesting aspects of the original but update the look of the film especially the embarrasingly bad and not very scary special effects of the original.
Keanu seems particularly well suited to play the alien. LOL!

one more bites the dust… or maybe (hopefully) its just a phase. this woman is too beautiful and talented to let her body just waste away!! why is she so thin now? anorexic hollywood has got to go. it is unattractive and unrealistic and unhealthy. whats wrong with exercise? a little muscle would do these women a world of good!

Jennifer is gorgeous but has lost way too much weight. I loved her look is The Rocketeer, all those lovely curves, and even A Beautiful Mind. Jennifer, throw in a few pizzas in between those 3 apples you eat daily!
