OlderLeonardo DiCaprio & Zac Efron: Let’s Go Lakers!
Zac Efron and Leonardo DiCaprio sit next to each other as they watch the Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Denver Nuggets, 104-90, at Staples Center on Friday in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old teen heartthrob and 34-year-old former teen heartthrob sat next to each other and shared many laughs together throughout the night. Look. They’re even folding their hands the same way! Seems like Leo passed on the teen hearthrob crown to Zac tonight!
Maybe Leo worships Zac after all.
Last month, Zac talked about transitioning from poster boy to Oscar contender. He said, “I would love to just sit down and talk with Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp and pick their brains about their early careers. They do it because they love it, not because they enjoy being famous.”
Looks like Zac got his wish!
Also sitting next to Leo was Entourage star Kevin Connolly.

I totally agree with you go sox. Anyone with experience in relationship matters would know it makes more sense for the rumor to be about someone like Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo. There are too many reasons why it isn’t Zac which I won’t go into right now. But for me I have often wondered how long Nick and Vanessa would be together considering the circumstances they got together. Not that someone can’t meet when working together but the fact that Nick was just coming off his marriage to Jessica Simpson and was really confused and lonely at that point. Nothing against Minnillo but Nick was in that “rebounding” stage when he met Vanessa. I’m sorry for both if they are having problems and Perez is a creep.
It’s pathetic how many of you call Zac no talent, when it’s clear he’s very talented. But the real laugh was post #4 - calling DiCaprio a has-been. I spit out my coffee over that one!
Leonardo DiCaprio is the finest working actor right now. Zac is very talented, and most likely wants to move away from doing “teen” stuff and into serious roles. What a great way to start - by talking to the guy who lived through that, and getting good advice.
Zac in Miracle Run was pure talent. That movie was beautiful and moving. Him and Bubba were brilliant in their roles. In HSM3 Zac is so charasmatic and funny, same in MAOW, Hairspray and 17 Again.
Everyone needs a chance to shine. Not everyone gets it right all the time. As Karen said, Leo was not all that good in the beginning, and even now he takes himself very very seriously. Zac is not like that, hes dorky and funny, I couldn’t see Leo in a role like that, not anymore, if ever. Theres no comparison to be made. They are individuals and should be allowed to make their own choices just like we are able to, without people juding and hating on us. In the words of Taylor Swift, all you people are 6th graders on crack, you think you can get away with saying hateful things about peoples lives, but its sad in reality, I hope you treat the people you do know with more respect and kindness.

and stop putting leo and zac on the same level. they’re not. i mean, come on.. high school musical1 vs. gangs of new york, hsm2 vs. the departed, hsm3 vs. blood diamond. not to mention other great films that leo’s starred in. i’m not saying that zac isn’t talentet, we’ll see if he’ll be able to get out of his teenage prince role and start acting in serious films. leo was able to do it after titanic and romeo+juliet (which was an excellent film). we’ll see what happens with zac. but they really aren’t even close to being equal at the moment.

Zac and Leo have similar careers so far they both started on T.V. series (Summerland/Growing Pains) both made had great roles that shows that they are worthy of being called actors (Miracle Run/What’s Eating Gilbert Grape) but the fans paid no mind because they were not roles of that showed for they looks just they acting skills it was not until they both made films that showed off they looks (HSM/Titanic) that they became popular (Teen Heartthrob). They only thing is that Leo has about 10 years on Zac but Zac will catch up.

BTW, I have meant to correct myself but keep making the same mistake over and over again so I will make the correction right here. I keep saying Family Ties—I must have Michael J Fox in my subconscious mind—and I should be saying Growing Pains is where Leo got started. Sorry.

And smoking. seems like he is always with smokers anymore. he must smoke too…we just haven’t seen it yet.
god almighty. what is with the need to compare actors either for their roles or for their looks? since we’re going down that road, then why not compare leonardo dicaprio with al pacino or robert deniro and see who wins out there? different actors all bring something unique to the table. come on you guys. just let these guys exist as individuals. time tends to tell us if someone has staying power or not. and sometimes,oddly enough, even those with promising talent don’t seem to make it as big as we think because the timing just wasn’t right for them. i have great hopes for zac and his future but the right things have to fall into place for him at the right time. its a very competitive business.
what a fun boys night out. i have great respect for leo as an actor seeing his films specially over the last few years. no doubt zac will take a few pointers from him and also blaze his own unique trail to superstardom.
my only hope for leo is that he will eventually settle down with a nice girl and maybe have a family.
the advantage of zac over other actors (also hearthrobs) is that he can sing and dance and act.

I am so beyond happy for Zac for having gotten to meet and spend time with Leo, since he admires him and his career and has wanted to talk to him. Wow! That’s awesome! Also, having been a fan of Leo for years and loving Zac, this is just such a lovely present for today…seeing them both right there together…oh, to have been at that game…lol. :-)
You are behind the time and wrong, tony. We have already seen Zac with visible facial hair over the past year and he has stated in interviews how one big pet peeve is smoking. He hates it.
There are rumors that Zac and Vanessa are having Trouble with there love. If Zac is not Happy with Vanessa then does he not Dump her.

sheila, I totally agree with you. But it is frustrating seeing people compare a grown man who is an experienced actor, to a 21 yr old guy, with great potential and looks. There’s just no comparing them right now side by side, but all the Leo fans really give Zac no credit. So some amount of comparing is sort of necessary to help some people see Zac’s not there, but on the rise!!
