Zac Efron and Leonardo DiCaprio sit next to each other as they watch the Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Denver Nuggets, 104-90, at Staples Center on Friday in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old teen heartthrob and 34-year-old former teen heartthrob sat next to each other and shared many laughs together throughout the night. Look. They’re even folding their hands the same way! Seems like Leo passed on the teen hearthrob crown to Zac tonight!
Maybe Leo worships Zac after all.
Last month, Zac talked about transitioning from poster boy to Oscar contender. He said, “I would love to just sit down and talk with Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp and pick their brains about their early careers. They do it because they love it, not because they enjoy being famous.”
Looks like Zac got his wish!
Also sitting next to Leo was Entourage star Kevin Connolly.

#173 and 175 I understand. #175 I’m sorry. I’ve been going on Perez Hilton too much and you don’t know what does to me! I know, Leo was just known as “the pretty boy” for his teen years but what I love about him is that he moved on form that stage. I’ll stop criticizing Zac, promise. #173 if you want to know something about Leo, well let me tell you! He almost quitted acting because he didn’t just want to be “the heartthrob”. Look at where he is today! One of the most famous actores out there. He got Oscars at Efron’s age. That’s why I love him. Zac has a bright future for him but nobody can be the next Leo! Because, There’s only one Leonardo DiCaprio, like there’s only one Zac Efron.
I remember when Titanic came out. So many people were negative toward Leo because they considered him “too feminine” looking. People were saying “he’s a girl.” Everyone was very harsh on him. And he was around 23 yrs old when he made that movie.
But before Leo was well known to the movie going public, he was on sitcoms–Growing Pains and Roseanne–and the soap opera Santa Barbara.
When he made Romeo and Juliet in 1969, he got some attention as a romantic lead, but his face was still considered too feminine. Even after Titanic in 1997, he was referred to as “feminine.”
It wasn’t until he made The Man in the Iron Mask in 1998 and Gangs of NY that the “he’s too feminine” comments started to die down. But it was in the movies The Departed and Body of Lies in 2006 that he was truly considered leading man material.
Some of the people commenting on here know nothing about Zac or Leo. They just want to diss one or the other. And some are way too young to know Leo’s work, but they spout forth that he’s a WAY better actor than Zac.

Truce. What you might want to consider doing is staying away from such people as Perez Hilton. He has never said anything good about him. He makes fun of him basically. That’s sad. Like Naomi has said she isn’t a fan of Leo and I have said I wasn’t. BUT I don’t, nor does Naomi discount the fact he is talented. We have proof of that. But nobody can discount Zac’s talent even if you don’t like him. Plus, nobody knows what Zac’s career will be like in 10-12 years. We will have to come back then and debate the issue. But truly I have gone back through the comments and find very few who have said they hate Leo or that Zac is better than Leo. That’s not happening on this board. It has been the other way around.

Ok kay, just so you know, as of this point only 3 posters have said anything bad about Leo and all of those comments didn’t say he was a bad actor or that Zac was better. One comment was the one that Leo was a has-been and that is the ONLY such comment. The other derogatory comments were that he was a fruit and one was simply obscene trying to get everyone mad. There was the comment of how Leo is a playboy but nothing where that person hated Leo or thought he wasn’t as good as Zac. So it is Zac who is getting the negative comments on this thread ONLY because he is with Leonardo DiCaprio and some of Zac’s fans have the audacity to say he has talent which brings on the Zac haters to say awful things about him. That is sad and unfair.
I completely agree. I love both of them. Just Leo a lot more. But still, they both don’t deserve so much hate!
kay, you will find surprisingly enough, that there are “matured” fans on Zac (and Van) thread. as you might have read their earlier posts, these fans are reasonable people who can exchange opinions and have a good conversation. just ignore haters and blogs like PH who got nothing positive to talk about.
and yes, i remember that oscar year where all the major stars of titanic were nominated for best actress and best supporting actress, but leo was snubbed. he didn’t show up for this event but somehow i knew that his star will rise, despite of his good looks, because of his acting talent. and leo has proven that of late …
Wow you all are really intelligent. And nice. And yes I remember when Kate Winslet and Leo and such were nominated and got snubbed and Titanic winning 11 oscars and such. Those were the days. As much as I love Angelina, I really hope Kate gets the Oscar for Best Actress this year! After all those nominations, don’t you think it’s time she wins one? I do!

-Leo is single ( there’s a big difference between a girlfriend and a wife.)
-Leo never talks about his personal life. So I doubt he will tell an interviewer he’s single(unless he’s pissed that an interview is asking really stupid questions).
-Zac and Vanessa have not broken up, and if they were they still would not date Zac is Rat, Ryan B. or Perez Hilton.
-Knowing how much of Perez Hilton news is false and rumors. Why would anyone believe anything posted on that site.

#77 and #78 How did Zac get a waitress pregnant when he has been with Vanessa alomost every secong promoting HSM3 non-stop. Also, he would never do that to Vanessa. They love each other so much. I f he is to get any girl pregnant it will for sure be Vanessa. So all you Zanessa haters get your stories straight before makeing assumption and spreading false rumors.

My first reaction in seeing Zac and Leo sitting together was..odd and my second and immediate reaction I got was a gay vibe going on here. Now they may not be gay, but there is definitely something going on and this is not a case of Zac being taken under the wing by big star Leo.

It’s always been said that it was for publicity and Zac as never been into Vanessa that’s clear to see ffrom photo’s and the way he acts around her he can,t bring himself to look at her half the time when they did go out, it’s always been a one sideded relactionship with Vanessa doing the loving part and Zac just ignoring her, sorry people but he’s not perfect, does make mistakes and is obvioulsy a lot happier without her now as I’ve said his loss and hopefully someone else’s gain where it will be a two way relactionship for V not just one sideded.

pop86, DiCaprio outright stated “I’m single” to a French interviewer, and also added in clear language that he has yet to meet the woman he wants to marry.
I know he doesn’t talk about his personal life, but maybe the French are a little less crazy-a$$ than Americans, so he felt safer admitting it there?
In any case, you can’t get much plainer than that.
