Rihanna - 2008 American Music Awards
Barbadian beauty Rihanna (in Zac Posen) arrives for the 2008 American Music Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Jimmy Kimmel returns for the fifth time as host for the two-hour show. Expected performances include: Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Kanye West, the Jonas Brothers, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, New Kids on the Block, Coldplay, Leona Lewis, Alicia Keys, Sarah McLachlan, Taylor Swift, Pink, Ne-Yo and Annie Lennox.

Well I think the dress is not her at all, it looked like a curtain with ruffles. I didn’t like the style of the dress and the way it was made. She is better with the awards of best pop music not R&B. I dont know what the people were thinking of when they voted for her in the R&B category. To me her music is more pop than anything. But the people voted and that’s what they voted for. I don’t even know why we are trying to compare Rihanna to Beyonce. It will never happen no matter what. Just like no one has come along and beat Mariah Carey. Just like no one has come along and beat Aretha Franklin. We can try to compare all we want to but no one can take their place over the other. There is only one Beyonce, there is only one Mariah, and there is only one Aretha.
