Beyonce ‘Puts a Ring on It’ at the AMAs
Uh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh…
Beyonce (in Armani Privé) performs her anthem “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” at the 2008 American Music Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Jimmy Kimmel returns for the fifth time as host for the two-hour show. Other performances included: Christina Aguilera, Kanye West, the Jonas Brothers, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, New Kids on the Block, Coldplay, Leona Lewis, Alicia Keys, Sarah McLachlan, Taylor Swift, Pink, Ne-Yo and Annie Lennox.

The show was boring as hell….the only reason I watched was to see “B” and see did an EXCELLENT job…… then I changed the chanel!

You better be joking…Rihanna has a lot to learn from Beyonce. Rihanna does have some really good songs, I enjoy her music but you can not compare these two ladies. Rihannas performance to me are always so borning and Beyonce on the other hand always get the crowd going…I’m sorry to burst you’re bubble but Rihanna has nothing on Beyonce

I dissed Beyonce in the past because I don’t like the way she talks and I thought Jay Z was not the best match for her, but I know I was just being petty. She’s a very decent girl. She just has her head on straight and no one can deny it. I love her strength. I still don’t care for Jay Z, but time will tell if he is good to her because I doubt she will put up with any mess from him.
As for her performance on the AMAs. It was actually the best performance of the night if you ask me.
There were many great acts. This was finally a great awards show because it was like a concert and people were dressed nicely and acting classy. They should always do that. The show wasn’t overrun with a lot of rappers or rockers who are high on drugs who come out on stage looking and acting stupid.
Pink was awesome by herself and with Sara McLaughlin (unsure of spelling) Their voices were like angels. Annie Lennox was also fantastic.
Mariah Carey is a great singer but she still has stage fright. You can see that she does not relax in front of her audiences anymore. She looks so self conscious, tense and embarrassed. I thought married life would help her, but I think she’s still suffering a little from when she had a nervous breakdown.
A great night with wonderful talent.

I just read some of the comments above. You negative people are lame. Beyonce got an overwhelming STANDING OVATION. There were only a few of those last night– one for Annie Lennox.
People stood up for her because Beyonce’s performance totally rocked the house!!!
It’s about time!!! I’m tired of everyone trying to hate on my fellow Virgo B. She shows out every time she performs, and you gotta love any performer that can get excited in your house from seeing them perform.
And on that note did anyone fall asleep during Rihanna performance. That “Bia” put me right to sleep.

Britney is brokedown barbie doll. I’m glad she is doing good now but people should compare Britney more with people like Rihanna, Miley and Lindsay Lohan. At least they will be in the same vocal range.
Beyoncé and Britney are on different leagues… Both are great in different ways. And YES Christina has a lot to learn from Beyoncé and even Britney: she has to learn how to dance and when to shut up and lip syncing if she can’t sing live while dancing
