OK! Magazine Misspells Ashlee Simpson
This week’s issue of OK! Magazine somehow managed to misspell Ashlee Simpson’s name as “Ashley” - on the cover, no less.
A rep for the magazine told Page Six, “It is highly embarrassing and, sadly, someone will probably be fired.”
This comes just weeks after Susan Toepfer was installed as the new editor-in-chief. Not a great way to start off your new job!
DO YOU THINK someone should be fired for misspelling Ashlee’s name on the OK! cover?

**** NO!! NOBODY CARES ABOUT THAT TRICK!
That is just plain stupid if someone gets fired over that. Ashlee is not an A list celebrity, she has a bottom corner front, which means didly s.h.i.t as most magazine racks will hide that cover story. The legal argument against firing a person over that is that in Rules of Civil Procedure, a case should not be dismissed over a mere technicality but should be heard on the merits. This typo does not make the story more weak as their picture is on it, and the article is inside.
Oh, and by the way, Reese seriously needs a chin reduction.

” DANI “….I have never seen so many unusual spellings of names in my life…..My sister teaches college courses, and says it is so confusing, and most of the time, the University has to correct a hugh load of paperwork….she gave examples like, ” maygan ” FOR ” Meagan”, then ” meaghan”, and ” susie ” instead she gets, ” suzzi “, and ” suzee “….It is ridiculous how much time mothers will spend to make up silly spellings, not realizing the hell these kids will endure trying to constantly correct their papers………..She said when her children were born, the hospital gave a booklet on what NOT to do in naming your child…( like above )…( I received the same thing 33 years ago }…..I guess it needs to be re-printed and distributed in hospitals..LOL..LOL
No-one should get fired over that silly mistake…I ALWAYS spell ” ashlee”, ” ashley “, when that name crosses my counter, or called into me.. ( pharmacy )..( unless it is spelled for me )……In fact, I HAVE spelled her name ASHLEY and corrected it before submitting it here on JARED……SHE is NOT worth getting fired over it….Did Asslee complain or something?

JJared is way way behind on Jake Gyllenhall news. You have to go to the Witherspoon thread for the latest. His parents are bust financially, and there is lots more about him, but JJ seems to have missed it all. I wonder why JJ can’t keep his Jakeypoo thread up to date.
Jakey is in the UK I presume still working on his new movie. And Reese hasn’t seen him for ages. Now she says she won’t be marrying him. Lots of news about him that JJ has missed.
Not to burst anyones bubble but…. Ashlee’s real name is AshleY Nicole Simpson. So… While they misspell her name… It technically isn’t her name. Who the flip cares anyhow? Other than us now knowing OK! doesn’t know anything about the stars REALLY… What does it effect?
