Robert Pattinson puffs away at a cigarette in this new photo for Rolling Stone’s Hot List.
“Twilight is a metaphor for the virtues of chastity, but it’s had the opposite effect,” the 22-year-old British actor told the mag, which named him Hot Actor of the Year. “I get letters that say, ‘I’m going to kill myself if you don’t watch High School Musical 2 with me.’ ”
Recalls Pattinson, “A mother recently gave me her baby and asked, ‘Can you please bite his head?’ ”

The comment about him not liking children was in response to him being asked what he likes in girls he dates…it took me a while too but then i realized what he was saying was he won’t date 12 yr olds (children, really) because he feels they are the only ones interested–he was saying he isn’t attracted to children, so it’s a good thing he isn’t pediphile haha
LMAO! I love the part about “killing myself if you don’t watch high school musical with me” and I bet it’s SO TRUE!! The mass MAJORITY of his fans are teen girls between the ages of 12 and 16, so of course they feel that way. But I love the part about biting the baby.

Don’t listen to those who think that way I don’t smoke at all and I respect a persons idea to choose for themselves what they want to do as LONG as it is not Illegal..Now KS is a drug user that was already exposed..to me I feel sorry for her that she went that way but she was in the movie Jumper even if the tiny bit she was in it she was still exposed to the two dope airs who were the leads who do drugs on it..but, all in all if he smokes cigarettes fine most people do and REHAB please unless he is a junkie and I don’t see that he is just a casual man and that is how he see’s himself. He isn’t an fashion plate and good for him that he has his own look and now appeal..he is adorable

Its kind of sad maybe bittersweet? seeing the morphing of an actor, from just an actor to a ‘megastar’ I agree with Gracie who made a comment earlier, i really hope he doesn’t become “yet another Hollywood actor” he seems so modest and shocked by it now, which is endearing. We can be sure, that as long as the Twilight franchise continues, he’s going to grow and grow. I’m actually really eager to see the little independent movie he made “How to be”. It looks *really* interesting, and quirky, i LOVE movies like that. Lets hope it gets a distributor.

Robert is absolutely and utterly AMAZING. and first off, this isn’t a photo from tiger beat or teen magazine, it’s fu@king ROLLING STONE for crying out loud!!!!! to each his own about smoking, it’s not my preference personally, but i would never hold it against anyone or let it define someone, especially if you know absolutely NOTHING about a person. Robert defines “sexy” simply because he continues to be himself without the influence of hollywood hype and media. he does things the way he would do them, not letting the pressures surrounding him discourage his thoughts or ideas in choosing what is right for him. his talent is limitless, and personality genuine. i got the chance to meet him when he was in chicago, and if anyone of you got the chance to look into his eyes, your little disney channel boys would have NOTHING on Robert! hahahaha……

i saw this picture in rolling stone and fell so in love with it. Stylistically it is a great photograph.
However the best part about it is the subject. I always feel like Robert, as wonderful as he cleans up, feels a bit uncomfortable sometimes. This picture, scruffy and greased up as it is….i think its by far the warmest picture I have seen of him. It just screams ROBERT. Its him. No nonsense. No poise. No frills. I have the strangest desire to just climb on top of him and lay down on his chest.
Its natural and there is an innocence to it that just melts me. And yes I agree he totally is all rockin the james dean vibe. I like Robert’s rebellious side. He’s staying true to himself in a life that doesnt really allow for it.
This is an absolutely beautiful picture of him.

This is how he makes me feel ~ that he’s a god who’s taken human form. Maybe Eros or Pan, a satyr–perhaps, beautiful Adonis. There is something fantastical going on within his human self that many women (and some men) are drawn to and feel palpably. It’s quite wonderful! Like being bitten by love, stung by Cupid’s wicked arrow. It’s magic, slightly bittersweet. He’s complex; he’s innocent and transparent~yet not so to those without insight.

I agree with NONA #16. I agree he’s not so great looking in this picture along with a few other commenters. I actually want to jump him and have wild crazy… with him. Terrible thinking on my behalf. But the sexy air about him is his attitude and how he doesn’t THINK he’s top ****.
