Britney Spears is a Bambi Awards Babe
A top-hat-clad Britney Spears performs her hit song “Womanzier” during the 2008 Bambi Awards on Thursday in Offenburg, Germany.
The 26-year-old pop princess made a comeback performance as she ended her performance with a bang atop a metallic spherical cage. She also picked up the award for Best International Pop Star.
Brit will release her sixth studio album, Circus, next week. Watch the video below!

no she wasn’t fully lipping. at the end you can clearly hear her do a run after the music ends and then she smiles to the crowd. it was a great performance overall regardless of her nerves. one of her best theatrically.
Either the sync in the vid is bad or she just completly didnt know the right words. Dancing much better than the infamous VMAs, but not very “Im Back B*thes” IMHO :D
She doesn’t have the dance moves anymore, I think its the pills she takes for her mental illness, it has taken the energy out of her performances, also she needs to give Beyonce some lip-syncing lessons because it does look better when you pretend to sing instead of dancing and your vocals are in the background and your mic at your side and your lips don’t move.

She’s still clumsy in movements. Yes, her body’s back, but she’s not the dancer she was once. She seems even embarrassed in what she does, like in the 2007 VMAs. There’s still a lot of way to do for her. It’s definitely not convincing.

much improved over the last time she tried to perform…but i agree with others…they could have tried a different outfit considering madonna is currently rocking this one.
it was really good! there was obviously a problem with the sync of the music and her performance because you can tell by the moves that there’s a problem. if you see on some slow parts of the song she is moving really fast and it’s obvious she wouldn’t do that/.

I don’t know why people are making a big deal about lip-syncing. Songs of this type are so layered and synth-ed that you pretty have to lip-sync them. Not to mention that it makes dancing a whole lot easier. Someone said it best earlier. She’s an entertainer, not so much an artist. And that’s fine with me.
The energy was totally lacking in the dancing, as several people have said, but she looked the best we’ve seen her in a very long time. That by itself is pretty inspiring. I didn’t think she’d make it out of the dark. I’m glad that I was wrong.
Am I the only one who is offended that her coarse purring (too many cigarettes, Brit, Brit!) is considered singing.

She was singing live over the backup track. The sound was off because of youtube. The sound and video dont coordinate when the video is uploaded. And she was singing live, in a better version of the vid, you can her her voice overlapping the backup track.
She wasn’t looking as confident, but who blames her, Wouldnt you feel unconfident if you expose yourself in that way to the same people who trashed you around before and made your life a living hell (the media) ?
And she wasnt dancing as much because she has been through a lot, including 2 births, so i dont blame her.

I think that this was an AMAZING COMEBACK performance and I can’t wait til she starts doing actual concerts and performs more songs!!! I freakin lve this performance and I think it was a smart move starting here because it’s not so hyped up and won’t kill your nerves like a show like the Grammy Awards and the VMA’s. It was “tastefully done” as Britney would say:)

I have to agree with # 8, she is not what she used to be, her dancing isnt really dancing anymore..its just walking around the stage, and posing. it has to do with her medication, I think they are slowing her down way too much..I know when I took meds for my depression, I wasn’t very coordinated anymore… I want her old dancing back..
Anyone who says it was a great performance can only be comparing it to the disaster at the VMAs last year. And she is lip synching because she always does and everyone knows she is not a vocalist. Fortunately for her her fans don’t care how badly she sings or how listlessly she dances because they will go on every site and talk about how amazing she looks and sounds. It’s a shame that the standard for her is so unbelievably low that this tripe is considered a great performance.

Britney sells because she records timeless pop songs. A strong vocal range is not necessary to become a successful artist, just high quality work, and that is what she has brought to the table each time while recording in the studio. I guarantee that you have at least 1 Britney song in your iPod, everyone does …or at least wants to. ;-)

I watched her “performance on TV last night and it was horrible. The non- reaction of the audience says it all. There was absolutely NO LIVE singing, not even over the track. No dancing, as several have pointed it out and when Karl Lagerfeld came on stage to present the award, she stood there awkardly, hushed a quick thank you and basically ran off stage with Karl following 10 steps behind. That was sooo painfull to watch. I feel bad for her. Anyone could see that she felt nervous and out of place.
The problem is, this is horribly out of sinc - go watch the high quality videos of the performance on youtube and you’ll notice that Britney really is singing live with a back-up vocal track. Also, I have found several recent videos of her in dance studios dancing to her latest songs - Mannequin is one of them - and she’s still got it!! Go check them out!

Hey 90210 Girl…..Beyonce doesn’t lipsync. She just adlibs during the chorus so she can dance and give a great performance!!! She sings all the lyrics live!!! She’s probably the only artist out right now who can sing live and dance at the same time. And don’t say Xtina can because we all know she can’t dance and even her singing is going downhill…if you watched the AMA’s u know what I’m talking about. Xtina did give a good performance at the VMA’s but she to lipsync to do it. PS. Britney looked great and I think the performances are going to get better and better. don’t forget that was her first one since the ‘07 VMA’s….of course she was nervous, but you can see that she loosened up towards the end!!!
