OlderHelen Mirren: Happy In Hawaii
The Queen star Helen Mirren takes a dip in the Pacific Ocean with her producer husband Taylor Hackford in Hawaii on Friday, November 28. The 63-year-old Oscar-winning actress showed off her enviable figure in a purple tankini as she went snorkeling.
Helen is currently filming a Shakespearean screen adaptation The Tempest on the islands. According to IMDB, in Julie Taymor’s version of The Tempest, the gender of Prospero has been switched to Prospera. Going back to the 16th or 17th century, women practicing the magical arts of alchemy were often convicted of witchcraft. In Taymor’s version, Prospera is usurped by her brother and sent off with her daughter on a ship. She ends up on an island; it’s a tabula rasa: no society, so the mother figure becomes a father figure to Miranda (Felicity Jones). This leads to the power struggle and balance between Caliban (Djimon Hounsou) and Prospera; a struggle not about brawn, but about intellect.

Her body didn’t transform. The earlier pictures were photoshopped.
Never mind what she looks like. She’s in her 60’s and she’s a magnificent actress.
This amazingly talented actress looks great.
As for previous pictures, nearly all the pictures that we see of actresses (young or not so young) are photoshopped and that includes great beauties like Kate Winslet and Angelina Jolie.
I agree she looks great and I love it that the paparazzi want to take photos of someone over 30 and/or someone besides Aniston or Tom Cruise.

women that age n in that shape should not dress this way. and that goes for the emn too!!! she would have looked much better in a nice one piece suit and a sarong and the man in t-shirt and shorts. soem modesty and demure makes a women more sexy that trashy and revealing.
I think she looks awesome !!!! She can dress however she wants….The fact is, she is a wonderful and talented actress and from what I read, a very sweet and caring person…….I wish I were in Hawaii with her !!!

As for the photoshop rumors, COME ON! Photoshopping is VERY expensive - why would the photogs who took the bikini pictures even BOTHER to spend that kind of dough to make a celebrity look GOOD??
