OlderRosie O’Donnell’s Variety Show Canceled!
Rosie O’Donnell tried to revive the variety show format with Rosie Live! this Wednesday. Apparently the show flopped, with only 5 million tuning in to watch the NBC special.
Rosie, 46, blogged, “There will b no more. No ratings. Bad reviews. Yet still – a thrill 4 me… If the bloggers didnt like it, I knew it didn’t work.”
The reason for the cancellation was” “Not enough rehearsal. The live part wasn’t a plus. The in-theater experience didn’t transfer to TV. It was a pilot, meaning u try it [and] see if it works. Then if they pick it up, u fix it.”
But variety shows aren’t dead! In good spirits, Rosie says, “Many people r gonna try a variety show. One will work. Ellen tonight. The Osbournes have one. John Mayer. Check them out.”

One word most aptly sums up my feelings regarding this pronouncement; schadenfreude. Rosie is nothing more than a loudmouth, obnoxious, embittered bully. I think it is great that the people have spoken and hopefully put this $itch in her place!

She obviously needs money. She has done NOTHING for awhile now. But with this cancellation, which it is, it goes to show how every horrible thing she has done and said to alot of people just came back to bite her in the a**. She is so 2001. Gone and, thankfully, FORGOTTEN!

In general..like it or not, rossie O’donnell is good for tv.Yes, she speaks her mind & tells it like it is..but thats one of the things that makes her interesting.I feel she has slight mood swings just as I do so our mouths can sometimes get us both in trouble.Regarding the view, well… sorry , but I preferred her over whoopie who I feel is a racist & forever living in the past feeling “the white man” is out to put her back in chains & on the plantation, quite annoying to watch her bring race into everything. How do you get over something if you keep bringing it up like it happened yesterday.I feel sorrry for the blonde girl on the show that has to tip toe around her.And don’t they ***** & bicker just like when rossie was there..?! Infact, you can tell the producers want that friction between the ladies…so, why get rid of rossie & honestly I rarely watched the show. I’m glad rossie blasts pompus & arrogant goofs like trump.And, ms. walters, shes the B-word & so vain & arrogant with a huge—ego as she once used the ladies & the show to pimp her book a few times a day which was unreal to see, god what a shallow woman with a huge ego! God forbid if ithe book wasn’t to break the top 10 charts.She actually drags on the show & should be put out to pasture. PERIOD. So, in closing..& regarding the rossie special, it was both good & bso-soas I blame the writers.It seemed too forced with the acts etc…like a talent show.It could’ve easily been tweeked. Rossie did her best & I respect her for that.Its not easy getting in front of millions of people while your guests gave little effort to be funny etc.Conan is a joke..no talent in terms of being funny in general..compared to old schoolers.And for those who seem to love to see her slip…good god get a life.I’ve never really watched rossie beyond a few movies…& can easily say that the woman is very talented as a personality & other…compared to goofs like ellen who sickens when she dances on the show..as I tend to get sick if eating..Can’t that woman see how ridiculous she looks at her age though in her mind, shes hot & 26 as she slithers around like some outdated freak.If, theres ever a casting for gilligan’s island. Well, she looks just like him from build, face/hair & other…Oh, yea..rossie..if you’re reading this..drop me a line.I’m 45..so we grew up on the same shows & cartoons so we know whats what & whens when…gabba gabba who?

Looks like about 98% of you got it right. When will these self serving celebrities face the fact that just because they make a living from hard working people that seek entertainment to ease ther stressed out lives, that doesn’t give them the right to shove their over indulgent egos and opinions in our face.

i will explain this to you in such simple terms that even a 5 year old will get it. rosie’s sexual orientation is not the issue here. what is the problem is how she behaves. she is rude, insulting, and inconsiderate. her behavior towards elisaeth on the view was unacceptable. i know that rosie was warned by barbara and those higher up to put an end to her attacks on elisabeth.
rosie didn’t listen, she thought she was right and everyone else wrong. the simple fact is that the majority of emails, letters, etc were demanding that the powers that be order rosie to leave elisabeth alone. rosie didn’t get the message; she was fired. do you get what i’m saying here. rosie destroyed her own career, she destroyed her own credibility all by herself.
