Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr: Not Engaged!
Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are not engaged, even though The Sunday Telegraph exclusively reported the news to be true.
“The rumors are not true,” Orlando’s rep exclusively tells JustJared.com. “He is not engaged.”
The wedding was reported to be planned for the middle of next year. Kerrbloom supposedly celebrated their engagement with a romantic getaway in Venice last week.
However, Miranda was in Venice to shoot the autumn/winter campaign for David Jones.

Someone didn’t like the lies being spread about him and put a stop to them pretty quickly. Funny, he couldn’t be bothered to have his reps dispute the cover stories about his romance with Jen A. or any of the other tales of models or the showmance, but this one was worth putting a stop to right away. Guess the Cabbage Patch Kid will need to look for new lies to spread and new ways to get attention for herself.

I guess that his people had to comment because the rumor claimed to be the absolute truth, not a “we heard that they were engaged” sort of statement. But they have always ignored ‘hook up’ rumors. They just aren’t worth commenting on.

Yes, months after the rumors had died down when he finally did an interview he said he and Cruz were friends. At the time he let the rumors swirl without a single denial from his reps although Cruz did deny the rumors. He began being seen with Penelope in late September and continued to be seen with her through the Oscar season and his rep said not a single word. In April when he did Pirates Press he was asked and answered.
And yes, after the Mexico pictures with Maniston it was clarified by both their reps that they were there for a wedding of a friend. However there were many rumors before and after that they were dating and those were never denied by his camp. Facts, learn ‘em, love ‘em.

Why do they need to get married anyway? Not for nothing, they obviuosly do many things together so it’s clear they ARE together. You never see her with any other guy and vice versa. So they both have loads of money, they travel around the world together …They must already live together…so Why do they need to get married. And certainly it is not a requirement for them having kids..so really what is the importance of the whole they are engaged or not?

This rumor has been around forever - we bet that you’ve heard it too. A-list celeb, who has a big reputation for being one of the finest men around. Well, in his younger days (even on film), he was still fine, but a bit more pocky. Yes, our leading man had scars from a teenage acne problem. He took care of it though, once he settled down in LA. How? Well, the good old-fashioned way. He paid a doctor mucho moolah to inject fat from his butt into the scars. It worked great though, even if the thought is a bit nasty. Anyway, we met the real deal a couple weeks ago, someone from the doc’s office that assisted on the procedure and she/he set the story straight for us. Despite reports this weekend that the Pirates of the Caribbean star had gotten engaged to his supermodel girlfriend Miranda Kerr, E! News has learned it is not true.
According to Australia’s Sunday Telegraph, Kerr and Bloom were vacationing in Venice, Italy, last week to celebrate the news, but her rep says that is incorrect.
“The story published in the Australian Sunday Telegraph suggesting Miranda exclusively revealed she is getting married is completely false and misleading,” says her rep. “Miranda herself has clearly stated she is not engaged. There is nothing else to be said.”
Just this month Kerr was quoted by Page Six Magazine saying, “I’ve always wanted kids, so someday, eventually, yes, it will happen. My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a solar-powered house with a hammock and a vegetable patch.” She made no mention of Bloom and her current relationship. These are the quotes the Australian Telegraph used to support their story.

Taking her turn on the catwalk, Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr looked radiant as she took part in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Miami Beach on Saturday (November 15).
Held at the newly renovated Fontainebleau Hotel, Miss Kerr joined 34 of her fellow Victoria’s Secret supermodels in showing off 68 of the lingerie brand’s new looks.
Meanwhile, Australia News reports tell that Miranda dismissed rumors of an upcoming wedding with boyfriend Orlando Bloom while backstage.
The wedding talk all started from a Star magazine report that alleged the two were recently engaged.

I agree 100%. He’s been an a-hole right from the beginning. He just hired some extremely talented and powerful people to cover it up. Yes, I remember the Astin comment. I also remember Mr. McKellen’s comments on the extra DVD for FOTR that said he had to take Bloom aside to teach him a better way to ask for things and get them done. The “old lion/young cub” statement. Always meant to me that Bloom was probably loud, spoilt and bratty from day one. And Bean and Davies weren’t too enamored either. There are probably others who weren’t too.
I think things were quite different then to what the fans have mythologized-and his team has run with-and I often wonder if what Bloom has turned into is truly a surprise to anyone who knew him then?

This is surprising to anyone? I hope not because it was evident back in August after the mediocre reception she got that they were less than impressed with the choice they made. Tweenager is right…..hearts and pink filagree and blowing kisses is most definitely not sophisticated by any means. Poor Kerr…..you’d almost feel sorry for her if karma wasnt such a b!tch.
Cannes was the first big push for LOTR. All of the stars were there, and there was a tremendous amount of buzz. Which meant that the room was full of movers and shakers. Orlando, a complete unknown at the time, was in the middle of a conversation with a producer. Sean barged in, and Orlando said that he would be right with him (which was the only polite thing to do). As soon as his conversation was finished, Orlando went over to Sean, who immediately threw a hissy fit. Even Sean admitted that he overreacted, and should not have expected Orlando to break off his discussion with the producer. Sean apologized for that, and went on to praise Orlando.
Ian adores Orlando. Always has, always will. When he was speaking about the lion and the cub, he was talking about his instructions to Orlando on how to get his ideas across in the business. Orlando was/is all youthful exhuberance, which is often not as productive as a more subtle approach. Sir Ian was talking about showing him the ropes. Not his dislike for him. Did you not notice that Ian was smiling throughout those comments? I did.
Bean must like him. Remember how they got stranded in a small town because of a landslide? They were driving across country together. Would Bean have allowed him in the car if he didn’t like him? Can you imagine a cooped up Orlando, stuck in a small space? Bean had to have liked him to put up with his constant motion. Not to mention the fact that Bean chose Orlando’s knee to grab onto during the flight back. If he didn’t like him, he would have grabbed the seat.
John Rhys-Davies is a grumpy old curmudgeon, who kept to himself because of issues with his make-up, and how it reacted to his skin. If you have listened to any of the commentaries, you know that he loves to hear himself talk….and talk…and talk. He never said anything bad about Orlando as a person, he just made comments about his career. He thought that his career was being mis-managed. This from a man who last stared in a cheesy, cheap, horribly acted version of Troy on television. This while Orlando was filming the lead role in a Ridley Scott film. Sure John. Whatever you say. Oh, and remember, John wouldn’t get the Fellowship tattoo. But his size double did. Holding Orlando’s hand while it was being done. He must like him, too.
The Hobbits love him. Liv called him a “loyal friend”. Viggo’s affection goes without saying. And Johnny Depp said that “there wasn’t a mean bone in his body”.
EVERY SINGLE co-star has had nothing but kind words for him. Not to mention that fact that he still has the same friends that he had in school. Keeping the same friends when you are rich and famous, as when you were poor and unknown, speaks volumes.
You can say a lot about Orlando, but you can’t say that he isn’t a good and decent human being. To try to claim otherwise invalidates anything els you may have to say.

How would anyone know that unless they were a former friend themselves? There hasn’t been any evidence to suggest that otherwise. You often see pictures of him hanging out with his old friends and non-famous friends. Looking for trust is not a bad thing, especially since there are so many users in the world (cough) like Miranda (cough).

This was a full six years after they completed filming. Oh, and Naomi Harris, his POTC co-star also came to visit him during his play. They were so friendly that it was rumoured that they were in a relationship. And these are just some of the reunions that we have heard about. No telling how many other times that they has gotten together.
The LOTR actors became friends over a long, isolated shoot, where they were all thousands of miles away from home. Their “fellowship” helped them through the rough times. They are lifelong friends. Just as they all have said. Over and over.
Yeah, it was one of the actors from Ned Kelly. A movie that Orlando filmed six years ago, before he was really famous. And his co-star is another one of those people who can do nothing for Orlando’s career, yet Orlando made a point to get together with him while he was in Australia.

I was called obsessive on the other thread just for explaining out my responses in length to another long post from a poster asking me questions why I saw things the way I do. Liam not only liked working with him enough to repeat the experience, but also seems to trust him as a producer. With Liam’s tenure in the business, that says a lot.

And if you knew anything about film making, you would know that independent movies get a distributor after they are made.
The rights to Rory Stewart biography has just recently been bought by Brad Pitt’s production company. So that movie is one step closer. Orlando will be starring as the young diplomat. See, that comes from those nice strong bridges he built while working with Brad in Troy.

Whether or not Bloom will play Stewart has yet to be determined. Fact. Not saying that he isn’t campaigning hard for it. It’s just not his yet. Things seem to fall through for this guy quite a lot.
As for Depp, Gleason, Bana, Saldana, etc. wanting to work with him again? Bloom didn’t exactly have the final say in their hiring now did he? LOL. Casting decisions are made by producers and directors and -sometimes- major powerful stars. Bloom is none of those, especially in the movies in which he was hired for supporting roles.
Oh, and your hysterical comment about “up and coming” director Scott? ROTFL!! Honey, Sir Scott had ALREADY ARRIVED decades before Bloom hit Hollywood! I think you have it a bit backwards there.

I think that was meant as sarcasm. Notice they called him “Sir Ridley”, which means that they know EXACTLY who he is.
But you’re right about casting. Orlando doesn’t have the power to cast, and I don’t believe that this was ever implied, much less stated. But to carry over your point, Johnny Depp WOULD have that power, especially in the POTC series. I seem to recall saying that he loved Orlando. If Johnny had wanted him replaced, it would have been done to keep Jack Sparrow happy.
Basically, no one here has claimed that Orlando is anything other than a nice person. No one said that he is a power in the business, and no one claimed that he was a saint. We were simply showing that the poster who keeps claiming that he has “burned bridges” is wrong.
I’ve said it before, Orlando’s one of theose pretty crazy fun charming people that everyone likes to have at their parties and events and be social with. But when it comes to serious business and getting a job done right, they hire other people.
