Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr: Not Engaged!

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are not engaged, even though The Sunday Telegraph exclusively reported the news to be true.

“The rumors are not true,” Orlando’s rep exclusively tells JustJared.com. “He is not engaged.”

The wedding was reported to be planned for the middle of next year. Kerrbloom supposedly celebrated their engagement with a romantic getaway in Venice last week.

However, Miranda was in Venice to shoot the autumn/winter campaign for David Jones.

Did you ever read Sean Astin’s autobiography? He said that Orlando totally blew him off at Cannes & it made Sean mad, and then he backpedalled & said well Orlando was trying to get some business going or something. Let’s face it, Orlando is an arsehole, has been since day one. He was just so darn cute as Legolas & he pimped an image out there of being so sweet & nice. Now his true nature is showing. Hey I know it’s hard for some fans to get a grip on it, but he’s a star fu*cker from the get go. He’s just out for the money. i mean, WHY ELSE HASN’T HE WORKED THE PAST YEAR? ALL HE DOES IS PARTY W/HIS GF & SHOW UP FOR PAP SHOTS. And puleeze, none of that krap about him taking time off. That makes him sound even more pussier than he is. Keira & Johnny didn’t need time off, yet his fangirls love to say “Oh orly’s exhausted he said he needed time off.” Yeah, girls, he’s worn out from ban*ging this chick & LOADS others. He’s sunk his own ship.

That’s not the facts baby that’s the new spin.

We know she denied the first set she started. It’s part of the game. You start a rumor for attention and then deny it later.

The second set was from the daily telegraph wish if you look at their wording is saying it’s a new set of rumors and even said she denied it the first time but now they say
” The revelation comes only weeks after the Brisbane-born beauty denied any wedding plans”.

Too bad that Miranda has a reputation for lying. I would take sides with a tabloid before I would believe she wasn’t up to her usual tricks.

Yeah, & I’m getting really sick of her routine. “Oh, yeah, my boyfriend Orlando Bloom & I are so low-key & I always say why do people ask me about my boyfriend Orlando Bloom because I wont’ answer, and if they do ask me about my boyfriend Orlando Bloom I always say uh, go ask him because you know I’m a very private person and one thing I never do is talk about my boyfriend Orlando Bloom because my boyfriend Orlando Bloom and I are very private people & I just think it’s best I dont’ talk about my boyfriend Orlando Bloom and has anyone told you yet that I’m dating Orlando Bloom?” I mean, HONESTLY she has pimped that relationship since the get go & he lets it go on because it does get his name out there, doesn’t it???

oops sorry double posted. my PC is so slow :(

As if Miranda would make up a rumor that she would obviously have to deny… Doesn’t make any sense when she is always avoiding talking about him. The press write whatever sells. They link his name with her’s to make a bigger story. That is not her fault. They did the same with Gisele when she was dating Leo. Leave the poor girl alone.

If they are engaged or not they are obviously in love otherwise they still wouldn’t be together after so long.
These pictures of them in Venice a few days ago at the moretti glass shop speak louder than any words http://elflady.com/orlandolove/showthread.php?t=12586
He looks very much into her!

It makes all the sense in the world. The game is played all the time.
Right before the VS show she got press that she would not normally have received.

Please don’t tell me you believe that she doesn’t talk about him.
That’s all she has talked about for the past year. If she once in a while tries to pretend she doesn’t by saying she is private it’s just her being her full of shitte self.

He’s sunk his own ship

And at a certain point, all the pennicillin in the world can’t bring it back.

I agree 100%. He’s been an a-hole right from the beginning. He just hired some extremely talented and powerful people to cover it up. Yes, I remember the Astin comment. I also remember Mr. McKellen’s comments on the extra DVD for FOTR that said he had to take Bloom aside to teach him a better way to ask for things and get them done. The “old lion/young cub” statement. Always meant to me that Bloom was probably loud, spoilt and bratty from day one. And Bean and Davies weren’t too enamored either. There are probably others who weren’t too.
I think things were quite different then to what the fans have mythologized-and his team has run with-and I often wonder if what Bloom has turned into is truly a surprise to anyone who knew him then?
Everything his fans have (justifiably) called Kerr it seems can be applied to him too. Which is why it DOESN”T matter one wit whether they stay together or break apart, because he’ll replace her with someone equally hungry and low. He’ll still be who he is after all.

Those set up pictures? Those are the biggest joke going.

If you look at the timestamp version you can tell they did it for the paps since Orlando was so cold in the first set of set ups.

Set up pap pictures do not prove anyone is “in love”. They only show that you are doing a set up.

OMG # 109 you’re right, I had forgotten what Ian McKellan had said. How true! And remember what John Rhys-Davies had to say about Orlando’s career? I guess Orlando thinks he knows what’s best. Hmm, well he’s run his career into the ground, don’t you think? I mean, this guy should be doing indie films or something artsy to prop up his rep in H’wood but instead he’s being led around by his **** ring tied to this fameho. Well, if he wants to do that, let him run w/it. The amusing thing is, I’ve actually read where his (last 2 or 3 remaining) fans defend his actions. Which is sad.

Well, DUH! Do you have a brain at all ? Gee, why would she make up a rumour that she would just have to deny? Um, how about:
1) It gets her name back in the press
2) It reminds everyone she’s really dating Orlando
3) It gets her phone ringing - finally!
4) It puts pressure on him, since they have been dating, to shite or get off the pot so to speak
5)it gives her lame ass* family something to call the Daily Telegraph about
6) it makes her feel so special to have to say “oh, no we’re not engaged”
7) it means she actually gets to talk to the press about something other than her naked body
8) it makes David Jones Company more interested
9)it gives her some ammo in the “I’m the most popular VS model fight”
plus a host of other ego-driven reasons I’m too tired to list. DUH!!!

@102 You’ve right girl!
@ 101 sean Astin is a liar! he was at KOH premiere like orlando friend what ****** he have said about Cannes?
he is only a jealous loser!

Whaaaa? This showmance isn’t artsy-fartsy enough for ya’?

It’s classic, don’t ya think? Pretty but ditzy Leading Lady with secrets to hide and a desperate need for attention that constantly land her in pathetically comic situations? Oh the comedy!

A stoic, some might say wooden, Leading Man, handsome and deceivingly affable, but with his own secrets to hide; his own agenda to fulfill. Can’t ya just tell by the beard? Oh the mystery!

And those sets and backdrops, huh? Sydney, NYC, Paris, Venice, Hollywood, London. The exotic venues, the soft romantic lighting, the faithful cameramen always in place and ready for “Action!” no matter how long it takes to get a good shot?
All that commitment and sacrifice for The Art. Why, the leads even refuse to use stunt doubles they’re so dedicated, (even though I believe their audience would certainly prefer it). It’s not like this is some cheezy car or , I don’t know, hairgunk dramamercial or something.
We have comedy, mystery, suspense!! It’s CLASSIC!
Why I think its artsy-fartsy at it’s most gaseaous!

@# 114, you are the master! I bow to your analysis :) Excellent post, it says it all…

Not Miranda @ 12/01/2008 at 8:48 pm

i heer he piks his noas too

This is surprising to anyone? I hope not because it was evident back in August after the mediocre reception she got that they were less than impressed with the choice they made. Tweenager is right…..hearts and pink filagree and blowing kisses is most definitely not sophisticated by any means. Poor Kerr…..you’d almost feel sorry for her if karma wasnt such a b!tch.

Cannes was the first big push for LOTR. All of the stars were there, and there was a tremendous amount of buzz. Which meant that the room was full of movers and shakers. Orlando, a complete unknown at the time, was in the middle of a conversation with a producer. Sean barged in, and Orlando said that he would be right with him (which was the only polite thing to do). As soon as his conversation was finished, Orlando went over to Sean, who immediately threw a hissy fit. Even Sean admitted that he overreacted, and should not have expected Orlando to break off his discussion with the producer. Sean apologized for that, and went on to praise Orlando.
Ian adores Orlando. Always has, always will. When he was speaking about the lion and the cub, he was talking about his instructions to Orlando on how to get his ideas across in the business. Orlando was/is all youthful exhuberance, which is often not as productive as a more subtle approach. Sir Ian was talking about showing him the ropes. Not his dislike for him. Did you not notice that Ian was smiling throughout those comments? I did.
Bean must like him. Remember how they got stranded in a small town because of a landslide? They were driving across country together. Would Bean have allowed him in the car if he didn’t like him? Can you imagine a cooped up Orlando, stuck in a small space? Bean had to have liked him to put up with his constant motion. Not to mention the fact that Bean chose Orlando’s knee to grab onto during the flight back. If he didn’t like him, he would have grabbed the seat.
John Rhys-Davies is a grumpy old curmudgeon, who kept to himself because of issues with his make-up, and how it reacted to his skin. If you have listened to any of the commentaries, you know that he loves to hear himself talk….and talk…and talk. He never said anything bad about Orlando as a person, he just made comments about his career. He thought that his career was being mis-managed. This from a man who last stared in a cheesy, cheap, horribly acted version of Troy on television. This while Orlando was filming the lead role in a Ridley Scott film. Sure John. Whatever you say. Oh, and remember, John wouldn’t get the Fellowship tattoo. But his size double did. Holding Orlando’s hand while it was being done. He must like him, too.
The Hobbits love him. Liv called him a “loyal friend”. Viggo’s affection goes without saying. And Johnny Depp said that “there wasn’t a mean bone in his body”.
EVERY SINGLE co-star has had nothing but kind words for him. Not to mention that fact that he still has the same friends that he had in school. Keeping the same friends when you are rich and famous, as when you were poor and unknown, speaks volumes.
You can say a lot about Orlando, but you can’t say that he isn’t a good and decent human being. To try to claim otherwise invalidates anything els you may have to say.

I would sure like to know what you have been smoking, cause it sounds like it causes some real tripping to happen. Do you have a bust of the Saint that you genuflect to at night. He is just a guy who had some luck, and when the rubber hit the road he just wasn’t up to it.

For the record... @ 12/02/2008 at 12:56 am

I never claimed that he was a Saint. I just said that he has proven to be a good person. BIIIIG difference.
And ‘luck’ wasn’t what was being discussed. People were claiming that he is a horrible person, and deliberately misquoting his friends and fellow actors. I was just setting the record straight. If you can disprove anything that I said, be my guest.

A good person doesn’t put on a showmance for his fans. A good person doesn’t lie and deceive. A good person doesn’t social climb, a good person doesn’t act the way Orlando has for over a year. He played a pretty game as the nice guy, but no one can fool all of the people all of the time. He got caught in his own game and he is now paying the piper. The show started to fall apart with the way he acted after the accident, and it has only gotten worse and worse since then.

You’d be aware that only a few blessed people know the truth, only them see things for what they are, if you disagree with odd theories or PR games you’re just a dumb and pathetic shipper.
