Nicole Kidman & Hugh Jackman: Paris Partners
Australia stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman take their spouses along for a late-night dinner at Hotel Costes in Paris on Sunday evening.
Nicole, 41, walked hand-in-hand with her husband, country music superstar Keith Urban, while Hugh, 40, brought along his actress wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
Both Hugh and Nicole are expected to walk the red carpet tonight at the premiere of Australia in the City of Lights. The Baz Lurhmann-directed epic is in US theaters now. For more info, visit AustraliaTheMovie.com.

They’re cute !!!
Poor Nicole, she hasn’t had a really good hair day in years. Many of her hairdos look granny-like and you often see her white roots (she may kid herself into thinking that it’s blond, but it looks white!).
My friend saw Australia on the weekend and was not impressed, found it too long, boring and predictable, the dialogue super-cheesy and he said (and is a HUGE Nicole K. fan) that Nicole’s face looks tight and swollen and he found her so unatural to look out now. He liked Hugh J. in it, but said the he is mismatched with Nicole.
Ugly outfit on Nicole, she tries to be edgy and fashionable but often misses the mark. She lost her fashion mojo in the past couple of years. Her hair is just awful now too, what is it with her and her love of little ratty looking buns and fugly updos?????
Very ugly outfit, and what is even uglier - her comb-over!
Looks to me like Urban is stoned! Either that or he is crying because he has to be seen with his wife looking like that!
Since Australia bombed big time this weekend Nicole still retains her title of most overpaid Hollywood actress that gets studios less bang for their buck of any actress out there.
hey
the premiere in madrid is today?????
Dec. 1 (Monday) - Paris premiere
Dec. 3 (Wednesday)- Madrid premiere
I’m starting to wonder if Nicole has lost her hair and it’s really short and she uses those hair clipons to add pony tails and buns. If not, girl has some ugly looking hairstyles now.
they are beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the movie Australia is doing very well so shut up ******* haters!! gosh! u are so annoying wishing bad things all the time!!
Coming in #5 is not doing well Alexis - not well at all considering how much it cost to make this flop!
her hair looks bluish at the root area in front, GROSS

SWEETHEART, you are confused, it’s a pic of NK not KH
Jared - the premiere tonight is in Paris. Madrid is Dec. 3.
I like Nicole, but this outfit is not flattering at all.
I also think Keith looks very uncomfortable in that three piece suit. I like
the suit, but it doesn’t seem like Keith wants to be wearing it.
The movie was great! Have you seen it Marcia?? No you just heard from a friend that they didn’t like it! Nicole is a great actrees and was fantastic as usual in Australia. It ’s great acting by both her and Hugh! Baz Lurhman did it again with another creative film! You wouldn’t know great films if they hit you over the head! Making comments when you personally haven’t seen the movie is just showing how uneducated you are!!!
Good Lord, something is wrong with Keith Urban, hope he’s not on the path to another rehab visit.
It’s a great shame America hasn’t embraced this film. It deserves to be at the number 1 film in the country and worldwide.
Not only does it show a spectacular country and equally spectacular story but it is a lesson on how to make a cinematic experience truly memorable and unique. Baz is quite amazing.
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Australia!!!!!!!!!
i believed now that nicole kidman is really Breastfeeding ,A lot of women choose to not color their hair while pregnant or while nursing for fear of potentially exposing their baby to the chemicals in hair dye. I made this same choice myself.good for her
I don’t think that they look that bad. Keith does look tired or something. Hope it is jet lag or the fact that he has been working alot on the new album. So what if Nicole has some gray or white roots, she is 41! Why do people have to be so cruel? If you don’t like her (or them) don’t see the movie and don’t log on to sites that contain Nicole Kidman info.

You know it is not Nicole’s fault the film bombed or is not living up to expectations. She was good in it. BUT Baz missed the mark on the editing. It tried to cover way too much in it’s “epic-ness.” And blaming the film’s performance on her is unfair. Luhrmann should have edited it more tightly. And Hugh Jackman is a huge movie star, I don’t see anyone blaming him for anything.
For some reason Nicole just polarizes people–you love her or you hate her. And for some reason this past year, the hatred has gotten really cruel and really really out of line.

She’s hardly poor. She has a husband she adores, a newborn baby girls she adores and more money than she could spend in several lifetimes. She has reached a position in life where she can choose her movies. If that’s poor, sign me up.
The movie’s not doing well because Americans don’t have an attention span. We need instant gratification. This movie requires patience.
Also, we’re ignorant when it comes to history so the conflict between the white Australians and aborigines of that period is not something most are familiar with. It was a very sad time in Australia and a story worth telling. Too bad the director tried to go too big with the story.
There are two Movies Worth Watching Now ,australia and milk but 4 Christmases #1 at the box office??? !!!! Well it merely proves that it is impossible to underestimate the taste of the US public. It simply adores utter crap.
arlene - entre Hugh y Nicole no hay nada ni habrá.
Give the USA a chance to run up the box office figures! Friday’s take was twice that of Thursday’s. Word of mouth is good, news is spreading. I’ve seen it 3 times and there’s been cheers and applause for the film.
I actually may be in the minority on this blog but I liked the movie.. Hugh did a great job and Nic did her part pretty well.. I do think this movie has a shot for cinematography, music score, screenplay and costumes.. Hugh may even get in the best actors thing…
A film worth watching more than once, Australia seems destined for Oscar buzz
Australia” cost $130 million to produce, but the studio says its investment is $78 million after tax rebates offered by Oz, where the pic lensed.so the Real budget $78 million , ‘Australia’ is staying on track with what Fox has projected so 20m$ in 5 dayes is great.

Movies like Australia, The Changeling, Nixon, Milk, ect. all do so-so at the box office because they don’t appeal to the youngsters and teens who typically go to movies. I somehow don’t think the studios expect them to be big money-makers. But it doesn’t mean they aren’t good, these movies likely do much better on the International circuit where, how does one say thi nice…ok there is no nice way… they often prefer more intelligent and thought-provoking movies. Case in point, Americans went in mega-numbers to see awful drivel like Four Christmas and made it #1 on the box office. Nuff said.

What a silly dialogue! There’s nothing between Nicole and Hugh simply because they are both married to OTHER people. Nicole seems fine with her husband. Hugh has been happily married to his wife Deborah Lee Furness for years, and is a devoted husband and father. They are NOT looking for romance elsewhere. Compreendes?
Arlene, there is a difference between reality and fiction. Wake up.
SHE IS MY LIFE
Couple perfect, true love!
AUSTRÁLIA IS WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVED this movie and the people around me at the theatre did too!! Everyone seemed really into the movie by all the “sounds effects” they were making when anything happened. I will go see this movie again. I can’t understand why people are so mean to Nicole. She is a classy lady. With that goofy Four Christmases being #1, well it definitely tells you the mentality of movie goers in this day and time and it is a real pity!! I’ve heard nothing but good comments from people around me that has seen it!! Those that refuse to see it are really missing out on a classic, IMO! Their loss!
my gosh the movie was incredibly powerful and beautiful!
i suggest to everyone to see it because it is the most impressive movie i’ve ever seen in my life!
i don’t understand why american people don’t go to see this movie…
they prefer 4 christmases, it’s incredible
I saw the movie! Its iS WONDERFUL!
Please go to see it.
I saw the movie. It was way too long, could have been edited to be shorter, would have been better, the dialogue was cheesy and the story predictable. Hugh was good, his chemistry was Nicole was nil and she seemed to be chanelling the same role as Far and Away and Cold Mountain, the little English lass out of her element, so predictable. Not worth seeing in theatre, but as a rental only.
Seems like the half-dozen people, the only ones who must have seen this movie (can’t be more as it did come in as number FIVE) are on JJ posting today! Likely it’s studio execs on here posting how good it is (it isn’t, save your money) so they can recoup the studio loss, they know it’s will be hard to climb from FIFTH (didn’t even make it to 3rd! gulp) place to #1. Ain’t gonna happen mates.
“Australia” is a wonderful movie. It’s a romance, comedy, adventure, drama, Western, and war movie, set in beautiful surroundings with a first-rate cast. It is very engrossing and moving, and the time flies by. You’re missing something if you don’t see it. I’m going back with the rest of the family to see it again.
The younger US audience is unsophisticated so I wouldn’t expect this movie to be a blockbuster in the US. I do expect it to do well internationally though. Younger people internationally are more sophisticated than we are.
Blame America, as usual. I guess you are saying other countries never go see mindless comedies? Let’s see, Burn After Reading, The Mummy, Forgetting Sarah Marshall all made it to #1 in Australia, I guess they have no attention span and no taste over there. Or how about the U.K? High School Musical 3 anyone, it made it to #1 over there, or how about Mama Mia? That’s some high class art right there. Or what about that important Adam Sandler movie You Don’t Mess With the Zohan that was #1 in Germany? Stop whining just because many people don’t think your favorite movie is the great important work of art that you think it is.
So what if people in America don’t want to watch Nicole Kidman’s wax face try to move for 3 hours in this Baz Luhrmann self-indulgence.

Why don’t you go live in one of those sophisticated countries if the Good Ol’ USA isn’t good enough for you. Good God, we are only talking about a make-believe movie here.
Americans are infinitely stupid and uneducated, ignorant, uncivilized, arrogant and ridiculous in their false sense of grandeur. They live in a third-rate nation which is responsible for the current recession - a country that doesn’t feed its own starving people, and execute its own citizens. These disgusting aliens LOVE garbage when it comes to film, and most other things, as well.
I take it as a HUGE compliment that people in the US don’t see this film! Good riddance.

so true!! I´m a teenager and I´m not american and all my friends and I so wanna see Australia, in Southamerica we do like that kind of movie
Lina you are a hateful person, you are disgusting.
Ah..they all look so sophisticated and elegant! Nicole is BEAUTIFUL, sweet and feminine. Keith looks sweet and really cute. Hugh is..ooooh..words fail me. :)

Taco, you proved my argument!! This movie is routed in history. An important part of it is about the struggles endured by Australian Aborigines. Try opening up a history book every now and then. These blogs are fun and I enjoy them to, but there’s more to life. I love this country, but am concerned for its youth.
oops, typo, meant “rooted in history.”
Lina, I could NOT have said it better myself! Had this movie been a cheap, idiotic piece of junk made for idiots without any culture or taste the Americans would have loved it! Hahaha
kit - are you familiar with “Twlight”? My 21 year-old niece read it when she was a teenager and had to see the movie now. I guess it’s bad for teenagers to read a book and then want to see the movie - sort of like Harry Potter as well! I suppose that’s a stupid movie because Kidman wasn’t in that one either.
Do you mean to tell me that every Australian knows everything about American History? If that’s the case, your leading lady Kidman didn’t even know that Darwin was bombed during WWII - so much for her intelligence and being so sophisticated! Kidman doesn’t even know the history of her own country!
Box Office Poison Kidman strikes again. Too bad for Hugh Jackman,he was the ONLY decent thing in this over long piece of crap. People were walking out of the show asking for their money back after 30 minutes.
Lina;
If you dont like americans why are you even on an american site???are there not any where ever the hell you come from??
Sorry, I really didn’t mean what I just said. I’m such an envious and nasty ass sometimes! I’m secretly in love with Keith you see.. and she stole him! Go see the movie, it’s great.
Since Americans are often fascistic they don’t believe in free speech, either. They just say they do, since it sounds good. It’s all about appearances.
No wonder they don’t like a superb film like Australia but prefer garbage. Hamburger inventors are like that. They prefer that to real food — and empty trash to real, genuine films.

Oh please! Stop lying! Nobody walked out on this film. Australia is the best movie I have seen all year. Everybody in the theater loved it. 20 million for this type of film is really good! This isn’t a mindless action film or a teen movie and it wasn’t expected to do big blockbuster money and you haters know that! Come Oscar time we’ll see how much competiton Australia gets from 4 Christmases. Nicole was great in this movie so was the little boy in the film and hugh. Nobody can look Reese Witherspoon in the face and tell her 4 Christmases is a good movie because it is a piece of junk.
Lina if people here loved GARBAGE so much Australia woud have come in #1 at the box office not #5. And all of Kidman’s movies would do well instead of flop since she is a plastic piece of trash.
Very funny #56. I wouldn’t reccomend that any one waste money on a Kidman movie. I like the music Keith put out before Kidman came along but that doesn’t translate to being in love with him..
cricket wants Nicole dead. she has said so more than once on other hate sites. get help you ugly, nasty, lying piece of ****. you spend your time obsessing over nicole on god knows how many boards. get professional help. you need it.
cricket should die…
Box office poison?
KIDMAN DID 800 MILLIONS DOLLARS SINCE 2001.
PEOPLE SHOULD BE MORE INFORMED AND DON’T READ PEREZ HILTON BOARD
I saw the movie and it was fantastic!
I hope this movie doesn’t even break even, it will be fun to see how devestating it will be for her annoying obsessive fans as they watch her box office poison streak continue.
Please open your minds to this movie! It is being misunderstood by so many. It is both a gorgeous and brilliant film. It is about story telling. Cynicism needs to be let go of in order to understand the way in which it is being told. To slam it for being ‘cheesy’ and ‘corney’ is missing the point. Lurhmann is conveying a ‘wavelength’, a ’state of mind’. Watch and listen to what an indigenous culture is saying. Call it a cliche movie, but what is heartfelt is actually subtle. A movie made with love, passion. Respect for American story telling - albeit the old-fashioned kind - the kind deserving not to be forgotten. Appreciation and big-heartedness expressed through the gentle eyes of a particular culture. Think about wonder and hope.
Whats with the slamming of NK? Lets not be viscious. I saw her on Letterman. She looks to me to be sensitive, vulnerable and shy. I think shes really lovely.
Keith Urban de passage en France c’est génial :D France loves Keith a lot :)
